After being forced off the road for over a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason‘s current band, Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, has announced plans for a new North American tour scheduled for early 2022.

The 26-date trek, dubbed The Echoes Tour, will kick off with two Canadian shows, on January 18 in Toronto and January 19 in Montreal, and then will head to the U.S. for 23 concerts before winding down in Vancouver, Canada, on February 28.

Tickets for 12 of the concerts will go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 29, while tickets for the remaining 14 shows will be available for purchase starting Friday, November 5. Visit TheSaucerfulofSecrets.com for more information.

“We enjoyed our 2019 tour in America so much,” says Mason. “We’re happy to be back at it and playing Pink Floyd music fans may have never had the chance to experience live.”

Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets performs Pink Floyd music that precedes the band’s classic 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. The group also features Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp, longtime Pink Floyd and David Gilmour touring bassist Guy Pratt, and veteran session musicians Lee Harris and Dom Beken on guitar and keyboards, respectively.

In 2020, Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets released Live at The Roundhouse, a concert film and album that features performances from a May 2019 stand that the group played in London.

After their North American trek, the band will launch a lengthy trek in Ireland, the U.K. and mainland Europe, spanning from April into July.

Chris Hemsworth once thought he was being written out of the MCU

The 2016 film Captain America: Civil War featured many Avengers, including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and, of course, Chris Evans‘ Captain America.

Conspicuously missing, however, was Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor, and, according to Buzzfeed, he reveals the awkward way he found out the god of thunder didn’t make the cut, as detailed in the new book The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I remember being on the Age of Ultron press tour, and everyone was talking about Civil War. I was like, ‘What’s Civil War?’ I asked, ‘Are you doing a side project or something?’” he recalled.

“They’re like, ‘Oh no, Captain America, y’know? The next one is Civil War.’ I’m like, ‘Wait … Iron Man’s in that?’”

“And it’s like, ‘Yeah, but there’s not just Iron Man. There’s Vision [and] Spider-Man” — played respectively by Paul Bettany and Tom Holland — he continues. “[Marvel] said, ‘You’re doing your own thing’…I thought, ‘This is it. I’m being written out.’”

Of course, that wasn’t the case. Hemsworth’s appeared in his fair share of MCU films since that moment of panic, most notably in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame in 2018 and 2019, and in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, set to open July 8, 2022.

Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

In a candid new interview, Amanda Seyfried revealed the “trauma” she suffered as a result of her second pregnancy.

Speaking with People, the Mank actress opened up about the difficult birth of her son, whom she welcomed last year.

“I had something that went wrong with my second birth. The baby was okay but it was tricky and it was painful and it didn’t have to happen, and it did so it added an extra level of trauma,” said Seyfried, 35, who also shares a four-year-old daughter with husband Thomas Sadoski.

Seyfried assured, “I’m okay. It was a very physical thing and it was a spinal thing, but I’m okay.”  She declined to share more about her condition. But, because of the grueling recovery process on top of raising two children at once, the actress said she had to take extra precautions to ensure her mental health didn’t suffer during the delicate time.

“I was terrified of suffering from postpartum depression,” the Oscar nominee admitted. “I ended up doing a lot of CBT therapy before I had my first kid and then I was really lucky, I didn’t suffer from any depression and I felt like I had won in some way.”

“It was hard, and it was so hard, the struggle, but it wasn’t anything I didn’t think I could handle. And with my second kid, that’s partly because I was on my medication and I never got off of it,” she continued.

Seyfried also explained that dealing with hospital bills further complicated things, adding, “I went to the doctor every week at the end of my pregnancy and all of sudden it’s like, ‘Bye, here’s some hospital bills!’ I mean, I kept receiving them and I’m still healing from something.”

It turns out Ed Sheeran isn’t the only member of his family who’s been diagnosed with COVID-19. His 14-month-old daughter, Lyra, has also tested positive.

Speaking to a reporter from the U.K.’s Daily Mail on Monday, Ed said, “I’m self-isolating with my daughter. I have been alone with her, without my wife, since we are both positive. I am now going to spend 10 days alone with her.”

He added, “Sometimes I’m away and spend just two days a week with her, so being able to be with her for 10 straight days is great. I just spoke to [my wife] Cherry and told her to relax, take long baths! Our fridge is full and we’re just eating all the time.”

On Sunday, Ed revealed his COVID-19 diagnosis and said that he’d be “doing as many of my planned interviews [or] performances I can from my house.”  He’s confirmed that he’ll be appearing on the popular British talk show The Jonathan Ross Show via Zoom, from the pub that he built at his compound in Suffolk, England.

Ed’s latest album, = [Equals], is out Friday.

‘The Harder They Fall’: Director Jeymes Samuel discusses how Nat Love “bonded” Michael K. Williams & Jonathan Majors

‘The Harder They Fall’: Director Jeymes Samuel discusses how Nat Love “bonded” Michael K. Williams & Jonathan Majors
Rachel Murray for Netflix

Director and screenwriter Jeymes Samuel says he couldn’t have picked two more perfect actors to portray real-life cowboy and Old West hero Nat Love for his 2013 short film They Die by Dawn and his 2021 directorial feature debut, The Harder They Fall.

In They Die by Dawn, Samuel tapped the late Michael K. Williams for the role of Love, which the director reveals was his first encounter with the talented Wire actor.

“When I used to watch him act, he would embody heartbreak in such a poetic way,” Samuel tells ABC Audio. “He’d embody heartbreak and vulnerability with such strength. And that was Nat Love for me…I couldn’t see anyone else playing him — just the way that he portrays heartbreak and the beauty of everything he’s gone through…and…gives you hope on camera and off.”

Samuels says it was those important characteristics that made Williams the “quintessential Nat Love” for his film. Not surprisingly, when it came time to make The Harder They Fall, Samuel says he looked for similar qualities.

“I came across Jonathan Majors and he had the same thing,” Samuel says of Majors’ “much younger” portrayal of Love. “The way he finds strength through vulnerability is so beautiful.”

Although Samuel says the two projects are very “different,” the director notes that he felt a significant connection to both Williams and Majors.

“[Majors] sent me a poem of the mental workings of Nat Love [and] I knew it was him,” Samuel says of how Majors landed the role. “And then [Majors and Williams] did Lovecraft  [Country] together, unbeknownst to me. And then they forged a beautiful friendship with themselves. So it’s almost like Nat Love bonded all of us in real life.

The Harder They Fall is now in select theaters and debuts on Netflix on November 3.

All Time Low has issued a statement denying recent allegations of sexual misconduct as “absolutely and unequivocally false.”

The statement does not specify the exact allegations, but refers to a TikTok video that “gained traction a few weeks ago alluding to inappropriate behavior within our camp.” The presumed TikTok shows a woman sharing that a “famous pop punk band” invited her on their tour bus when she was 13, adding that they tried to take her bra for their “nasty collection” and offered her alcohol.

That video was then followed by a lengthy statement from an anonymous social media account specifically accusing guitarist Jack Barakat of grooming, abuse and sexual assault.

In their statement, which is credited to all four member of All Time Low, the “Monsters” rockers write that “we have to state with outright certainty that what is being said about us is completely and utterly false.”

“We are investigating further the source of these false accusations, and will be seeking legal recourse as we take these allegations very seriously,” the statement reads.

“We stand with victims and always wish to amplify the voices and stories of those who have suffered abuse and trauma,” the band continues. “But we cannot and will not fuel or amplify lies that only cloud and distort the true stories of those who need to be heard and represented.”

Bakarat also issued a separate statement, reading, “While the four of us wrote this statement together, I feel the need to personally refute the claims being made against me and us, as they are 100% false.”
