Adele’s Las Vegas residency is officially back on!

Weekends with Adele has been rescheduled with dates set to kick off on November 18 of this year at Caesars Palace and run through March 25, 2023. All 24 previously scheduled performances have been rescheduled, and eight new shows have been added.

A select number of tickets will be available. Priority for pre-sale tickets will be given to fans who held tickets for the original show dates or had previously registered and been waitlisted for the Verified Fan Presale. Ticketmaster will notify eligible fans on Wednesday, August 3.

“Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows,” Adele wrote on Instagram Monday. “I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them. But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!”

Weekends with Adele was originally supposed to kick off in January, but a day before the show’s debut, Adele tearfully took to Instagram and announced she would be postponing the show due to setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Longtime Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse is officially leaving the band after announcing in March that he was taking a temporary hiatus from the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers to be with his wife, Janine, as she battles cancer.

In a new message from Deep Purple, the group explains, “Steve Morse will be stepping back from the band, having been its guitarist for more than a quarter of a century. Steve’s personal circumstances have made it impossible for him to commit to the band’s schedule throughout 2022 and beyond.”

Deep Purple adds, “Steve will be greatly missed by band, crew, management, record label and all those that had the pleasure of working with him over the years.”

Morse joined Deep Purple in 1994, and played on eight studio album by the band, while co-writing nearly every original song that appeared on those records.

In his own statement, Morse explains about his decision to leave the band, “[My wife and I] are learning to accept stage 4 aggressive cancer and chemo treatment for the rest of her life. We both miss being at shows, but I simply couldn’t commit to long, or far away tours, since things can change quickly at home.”

He adds, “I wish to thank the listeners who so strongly supported live music and turned every show from a dress rehearsal to a thundering, exciting experience. I’ll miss everybody in the band and crew but being Janine’s helper and advocate has made a real difference at many key points.”

The band’s statement also includes messages from Morse’s Deep Purple band mates — singer Ian Gillan, drummer Ian Paice, bassist Roger Glover and keyboardist Don Airey — in which they expressed their admiration and affection for Morse.

Deep Purple currently are on tour in Europe with Morse’s replacement, Simon McBride.

Dolly Parton’s delicious team-up with Duncan Hines is now award-winning.

The singer’s Southern Style Coconut Cake Mix won Best Cake Mix in the People Food Awards 2022. She launched the line of cake mixes early this year.

When Dolly’s custom baking collections arrived in January, they sold out in a matter of hours. The line also includes the Southern Style Banana Flavored Cake Mix, buttercream and chocolate buttercream icings plus custom spatulas and tea towels.

Dolly’s Duncan Hines collaboration isn’t the only sweet treat she’s helped dream up. She also released a collaborative flavor with Jeni’s Splendid ice cream called Strawberry Pretzel Pie.

Though the singer loves cake, she previously admitted to People that her biggest culinary weakness isn’t necessarily a dessert.

“If I’ve been on a low-carb diet or something for a while, the first thing I want to do when I break it is have some cake — or potatoes. That’s my weakness,” she admits. “Usually that’s why I fall off any diet, is for the love of some sort of a potato.”

U2 will play the first concerts ever at the MSG Sphere, a high-tech arena that’s being built at the Las Vegas resort The Venetian and that’s scheduled to open next year, Billboard reports, according to multiple sources.

The Irish rockers’ performances at the MSG Sphere reportedly will be part of a residency that will feature a series of shows held on non-consecutive days and will take place over the course of several months.

The MSG Sphere, which is being built by Madison Square Garden Entertainment chairman James Dolan, is being touted as “the largest spherical structure on Earth.” According to press information, the venue has a 20,000 guest capacity, and will offer a multisensory experience that features a 160,000-square-foot immersive video screen with 4D capability, and state-of-the-art spatialized audio.

The structure also will feature an exterior whose look will be changeable thanks to LED technology.

The MSG Square at The Venetian was initially scheduled to open in 2021, but plans were delayed until 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A second MSG Sphere also is being planned for London.

U2 currently has no confirmed concerts scheduled. The band’s last performance to date took place in December 2019 in Mumbai, India. Meanwhile, as was announced last week, U2 will be among the artists saluted at the 2022 Kennedy Center Honors this December.

Jordan Davis’ wife didn’t quite get it the first time she heard his new love song, “What My World Spins Around”

Jordan Davis’ latest single is a love ballad called “What My World Spins Around,” a song that he wrote with fellow artist Ryan Hurd and another co-writer, Matt Dragstrem. All three writers had their partners in mind when they sat down to write that day, the singer says — which means that it was also written about Ryan’s wife, country star Maren Morris.

“We wrote it thinking about our wives and girlfriends,” he remembers before quickly jumping in with a clarifying joke. “Matt’s not married yet. It’s not that I have a wife and a girlfriend.”

For Jordan, of course, the inspiration comes from his wife Kristen, who’s been with him through all the ups and downs of his career. That makes their bond stronger, and it also makes her a little less romantic when it comes to hearing new love ballads he wrote just for her.

“She doesn’t even pick up on the lyrics anymore,” he adds. “She’s just kind of like, ‘Oh, that could be a cool follow-up to ‘Buy Dirt.’’ I was like, ‘Babe, did you even listen to the lyrics?’’

When Kristen first heard it, he continues, he and his team were on the hunt for the follow-up single to his number-one duet with Luke Bryan, “Buy Dirt” — so she had her music business hat on as she listened to the song.

“I play it. Halfway through it, I’m like, ‘I wonder what she thinks?’” Jordan recounts. “I did kind of write this with her in mind. Ended the song, and she was like, ‘I could see that as a single.’”

Jordan and Kristen tied the knot in 2017. They are parents to two young children, Eloise and Locklan.

All-star hard-rock band The Dead Daisies will release their sixth studio album, Radiance, on September 30.

The 10-track collection was recorded by the group’s current lineup of former singer/bassist Glenn Hughes, guitarists Doug Aldrich and David Lowy and drummer Brian Tichy. All of the songs were co-written by Hughes, Aldrich and Lowy.

“We had a great time composing and recording the record and I’m very excited for you all to hear what we put together,” says Aldrich, who played with such groups as Whitesnake and Dio prior to joining The Dead Daisies in 2016. “Definitely a heavy album but with some cool twists and turns! Hope you all like it.”

Radiance can be preordered now and will be available as a Digipak CD with a sticker, a vinyl LP in a gatefold sleeve and digitally.

Tichy, who rejoined The Dead Daisies earlier this year after previously playing with the group in 2013 and from 2015 to 2017, describes Radiance as “another slab of butt-kicking rock!”

He adds, “The guys all brought their A-Game and a tight, powerful record was created! I’m looking forward to everyone hearing it and playing more of these songs live in the near future!”

Fans have already been treated to two advance songs from Radiance, the title track and “Shine On,” which were released in June and earlier this month, respectively.

The Dead Daisies are currently on tour in Europe, where they’re opening for Judas Priest on select dates, as well as playing some festivals and headlining shows, through early August. The band also has a brief U.S. trek lined up in September. Check out their full schedule at TheDeadDaisies.com.

Here’s Radiance‘s full track list:

“Face Your Fear”
“Hypnotize Yourself”
“Shine On”
“Radiance”
“Born to Fly”
“Kiss the Sun”
“Courageous”
“Cascade”
“Not Human”

Music notes: Taylor Swift, Train, Meghan Trainor, Michael Bublé and Katy Perry

If someone read the lyrics of Taylor Swift‘s “You Need to Calm Down,” you’d recognize the song, right? Well, it was a triple-stumper on Jeopardy! when host Ken Jennings did that for a $400 clue, and not one contestant got it. In fact, no one even tried to guess! Fans are sharing the now-viral clip on Twitter.

Train frontman Pat Monahan celebrated his 15th wedding anniversary to wife Amber Peterson. “Today is the best day of my year every year. [It’s] my wedding anniversary and my wife @astarr444 has made my life incredible. The past 15 years of being married to you have made me a better everything. Thank you, love! I can’t wait to be home with you,” he wrote on Instagram. Pat is currently on the road with Jewel and Blues Traveler.

Meghan Trainor aired some dirty laundry on her TikTok, including the rudest celebrity she met or the celeb she has the most tea on — the latter is Harry Styles if you must know. She answered the questions by briefly flashing her phone screen, which had a photo of the celeb she was referring to. Good luck pausing the video at the right moment and guessing who everyone is!

Michael Bublé is aware that he’s semi-synonymous with suits. Joking that “clothes maketh the Man,” he modeled various suits of all different colors in a new TikTok video. “I’m a model, you know what i mean and i do my little turn on the catwalk,” he captioned. He added his suits are “like a Batsuit” because “When I put ‘em on I become Michael Bublé. Otherwise I’m just Mikey B.”

Katy Perry showed off how she likes to eat her strawberries — skewered with mozzarella, basil leaves and balsamic vinaigrette. She captioned her tutorial, “A dreamy summertime food pairing for all your champignon dreams.”

Kesha is politely reminding fans that she no longer spells her name with a dollar sign. She shared a TikTok soundtracked to Annie Lennox‘s “Why” as she stares forlornly into the mirror. “When they still spell your name with a ‘$’,” she captioned the video. “Did this to myself.”

If someone read you the lyrics to Taylor Swift‘s “You Need to Calm Down,” you’d recognize the song, right?  Well, it was a triple-stumper on Jeopardy! when host Ken Jennings did just that for a $400 clue, and not one contestant got it. In fact, no one even tried to guess! Fans are sharing the now viral clip on Twitter.

Lil Nas X would like to introduce you to his alter-ego, Marilyn Monteroe. He shared several photos of him channeling the blonde bombshell on Twitter and included a snap of him posing over a grate while holding down his white dress. Fans are hoping this is related to a new song or music video.

Twenty One Pilots saluted Stranger Things by remixing the creepy theme song with “Heathens.” The duo was performing in Romania when they unleashed the mashup while playing scenes of Stranger Things‘ fourth season. They shared the remix on YouTube

Jessie J needed a wardrobe change at one of her concerts for a very good reason. “When it’s 95 degrees on stage at 10pm at night and a long sleeved catsuit ain’t it,” she joked on Instagram and slipped into a vintage Dior bed dress for her performance.

Meghan Trainor aired some dirty laundry on her TikTok, such as the rudest celebrity she met and the celeb she has the most tea on — the latter is Harry Styles if you must know. She answered the questions by briefly flashing her phone screen, which had a photo of the celeb she was referring to.
