David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, and the John Wick movies, says “everybody” wants Nobody.

The guy who called the shots on Bob Odenkirk‘s successful, surprising 2021 turn as action hero, tells Collider that a sequel is moving forward “full steam ahead.”

“Oh, I think everyone’s really excited about it,” Leitch explains, saying they’re “in the script process” now.

“I think we had so much fun making that,” the stuntman-turned-filmmaker says. “[Producer] Kelly [McCormick] and I had a blast, the actors had a blast, the studio loved the results, and it’s happening. I mean, I think it’s happening as fast as we can make it happen.”

Made for just $16 million, Nobody grossed an impressive $157.5 million — even more impressive considering it was released in the spring of 2021, when it was feared the pandemic would keep crowds away from the theaters.

In an interview earlier this year with Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern Show, Odenkirk credited the great shape he was in playing the dorky suburban dad/unstoppable butt-kicking machine with saving his life after a near-fatal heart attack.

Sylvester Stallone took to social media for round 2 in his bout against Irwin Winkler, the producer of the Rocky and Creed films.

On Sunday night, Stallone went off on Winkler, depicting him as a vampire in a now-deleted Instagram post quoted by Deadline: At issue is Winkler’s retaining the rights to the characters Stallone created and developing more set in the Rocky universe.

It was the second time in three weeks that the actor went public about the issue.

“After IRWIN WINKLER And FAMILY SUCK ROCKY DRY !” the trade quoted the now-deleted post, containing a slideshow of four pictures, including those depicting a planned spin-off centering on Dolph Lundgren‘s Ivan Drago.

“Presumed to be the most hated , untalented , decrepited [sic], Producer in Hollywood and his cowardly children have found their next meal… Drago ?” Sly wrote.

Stallone didn’t delete a Twitter post of Deadline’s Drago story, however. “I’d like to congratulate Irwin Winkler and family beating another wonderful character into the ground! # no shame,” Stallone wrote.

Two weeks ago, Stallone complained in, and then deleted, an Instagram post in which he griped, “After IRWIN controlling ROCKY for over 47 years, and now CREED, I really would like have at least a little WHAT’s LEFT of my RIGHTS back, before passing it on to ONLY YOUR CHILDREN – I believe That would be a FAIR gesture from this 93 year old gentleman.”

“This is a painful subject that eats at my soul, because I wanted to leave something of Rocky for my children,” he continued, “but it’s always great hearing from the loyal fans… Keep punching.”

Grant Gustin‘s Scarlet Speedster will be running his last race: ABC Audio has confirmed that The Flash, the longest-running show on The CW Network, will wrap up after its upcoming 13-episode ninth season.

The show, part of CW’s “Arrow-verse” of DC Comics heroes, remains a hit for the network and was one of its most-watched shows of the 2021-22 season, in addition to being popular on streaming.

In a statement, the show’s executive producer and showrunner, Eric Wallace, noted, “Nine seasons! Nine years of saving Central City while taking audiences on an emotional journey full of heart, humor, and spectacle.”

“So many amazing people have given their talents, time, and love to bring this wonderful show to life each week,” his statement said. “So, as we get ready to honor the show’s incredible legacy with our exciting final chapter, I want to say thank you to our phenomenal cast, writers, producers, and crew over the years who helped make The Flash such an unforgettable experience for audiences around the world.”

Gustin quickly became a fan favorite playing the title role and his alter-ego, Barry Allen, so much so that some fans groused they wanted him, and not Ezra Miller, to play the role on the big screen — even before Miller’s recent legal troubles. The two actors crossed paths in character in 2021 as part of the CW’s superhero-stocked Crisis on Infinite Earths cross-over event.

You wouldn’t think Reese Witherspoon‘s chipper attorney Elle Woods and Tom Cruise‘s steely Pete “Maverick” Mitchell had much in common, but you’d be wrong.

In a new interview with USA Today, Witherspoon says the long-in-development third Legally Blonde film might owe a debt to Cruise’s biggest-ever hit, Top Gun: Maverick, which flew into theaters 36 years after the original.

“I’m still hoping that Legally Blonde 3 is gonna come together in the right way,” Witherspoon tells the publication. “It’s just like Top Gun: They waited a long time to make another version of that movie, and I loved the nostalgia piece they incorporated in it.”

Reese adds, “So definitely that gave us a lot of inspiration about what we would want to do with Elle Woods and make sure that we had all those same touchstones that mattered to people back then.”

“I feel like these characters are my friends, so I safeguard them,” says the Oscar and Emmy-winning actress and producer. “I would never make the subpar, mediocre version of their story.”

Mindy Kaling is co-writing the third film, which will succeed 2003’s Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde.

Mark Hamill re-hired at Jack In The Box

Before he became Luke Skywalker, a young Mark Hamill worked at the fast food chain Jack In The Box — until he was fired for doing voice impressions through the drive-thru window.

“Jack knows he let go of a legend, so they’re making amends,” a rep explains, showcasing the actor in a new campaign called The Return of Mark Hamill.

The spot, which has gone live on social media, shows the big-screen Jedi back in the drive-thru window, this time surprising unsuspecting fans as he explains the inglorious end of his burger-flipping career.

“Instead of using my own voice, I’d use a clown voice,” Hamill said. “They didn’t like it at all.”

His ill-appreciated choice of a clown voice is pretty ironic, considering Jack In The Box’s competitor McDonald’s used a clown, Ronald McDonald, as its mascot for years — and of course because Hamill later created the iconic voice of the Clown Prince of Crime himself, the Joker, in Batman: The Animated Series.

“This is what revolution looks like”: ‘Star Wars’ series ‘Andor’ drops full trailer
Lucasfilm

On Monday, Lucasfilm dropped a full-length trailer to its next Star Wars series on Disney+, Andor.

In the prequel series, Diego Luna reprises his Rogue One role as titular Rebel spy Cassian Andor, and the trailer shows that the series will delve into the past he hinted at in that film: That his career working against the Galactic Empire began when he was just a child.

“To steal from the Empire, you just walk in like you belong. They’re so proud of themselves…They can’t imagine that someone like me could get inside their house,” he says as he’s shown infiltrating Imperial bases both as a kid and as an adult.

After some fans griped that the previous Star Wars series Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi centered too much on the desert planet Tatooine, the trailer hints Andor will be a galaxy-spanning adventure, from the-Galactic Republic’s Capital planet Coruscant, to dogfights in space, and skirmishes with Stormtroopers in on the streets of various worlds.

“This is what revolution looks like,” Adria Arjona‘s mysterious — and as of now unnamed — character urges Andor.

“Witness the beginning of Rebellion,” a title card teases.

Andor — also starring Forest Whitaker, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly and Alan Tudyk, kicks off with a three-episode premiere on September 21.

Lucasfilm is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
