The View had a bit of a shakeup on Friday as hosts Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin had to depart the set mid-episode after testing positive for COVID-19.

Just before they were scheduled to bring out Vice President Kamala Harris as the guest, an off-camera show runner asked that Ana and Sunny step off the set, and advised other co-hosts Joy Behar and Sara Haines not to introduce the VP.

Moments later, Joy revealed that both Sunny and Ana have tested positive for COVID-19, despite being fully vaccinated.

“No matter how hard we try, these things happen,” Joy shared with the audience. “They probably have a breakthrough case and they’ll be okay, I’m sure, because they’re both vaccinated up the wazoo.”

Harris did make a remote appearance on the show from a separate studio at ABC’s New York headquarters.

Kelly Clarkson is probably putting a big red “X” around the date of January 7, 2022, because that’s when she’ll be officially single and ready to mingle once again.

According to legal documents obtained by ABC News, Kelly’s marriage to Brandon Blackstock will be officially over on that date.  The two married in October of 2013, and Kelly filed for divorce in June of 2020.  She and Brandon have two children together: daughter River, 7, and son Remington, 5.

The legal documents also state that as of now, Kelly can legally be known as Kelly Brianne Clarkson once again.  She changed her name to Kelly Blackstock when she and Brandon wed.

Kelly released her aptly named new single “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” earlier this week. Her holiday album When Christmas Comes Around… arrives October 15.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune returns when season two premieres on its new night, Sunday, September 26 at 8 P.M. ET.

Hosted by pop-culture legends Pat Sajak and Vanna White, the series welcomes celebrity contestants to spin the world’s most famous wheel and solve word puzzles for a chance to win up to $1 million for the charity of their choice.

First up on Sunday night is Seinfeld veteran Jason Alexander, who is raising money for Americares; pro wrestler-turned Dancing with the Stars contestant Michael “The Miz” Mizanin, playing for Connor’s Cure at the V Foundation for Cancer Research; and DWTS dance pro Cheryl Burke, playing for PhilDev, which is dedicated to eradicating poverty through science and technology in the Philippines.

“It’s fun because we interact during the show, you know, their personality comes out,” White tells ABC Audio of the celebrity contestants. “They’re not playing a character, they’re playing themselves, and they’re having fun. And it shows!”

Sajak agrees. “It’s funny how many of them are just really excited to be here. You forget that they sit at home with their kids or used to sit with their grandmother or whatever, watching the show, just like everybody else….And it was funny to watch them come on the set and [say] ‘Look, there’s the puzzle board!’ …It was very fun and very gratifying.”

Sajak admits the famous fans tried to get their share of selfies on the stage. “Sometimes….I’d have to stop them,” the host laughs, “‘You know, we have a game to play here, guys. Put your phones away!'”

The Rebel Rock festival, set to take place this weekend in Orlando, Florida, has been canceled due to the rainfall that hit the area this week.

“After this week’s severe weather and despite our crew’s effort to improve the ground conditions around the Main Stage over the last three days, our venue partner has deemed the area unfit for artists, crews, vendors, and fans,” organizers say in a statement. “The amount of water dropped this week simply proved to be too much to clear to provide you a safe festival environment and experience.”

Information regarding refunds is forthcoming.

Prior to the weather issues, Rebel Rock had already been beset by a shuffling lineup. Headliner Limp Bizkit canceled their set amid scrapping all of their 2021 dates for “safety” reasons. Fred Durst and company were replaced by Incubus, who then pulled out themselves on account of “continued complications with COVID-19 in our touring camp.”

Other artists on the Rebel Rock lineup included Rise Against, Machine Gun Kelly, Papa Roach, Volbeat, Five Finger Death Punch and The Used.

ABC News

While BTS’ career has been going great over the past 20 months, they opened up in an exclusive interview with ABC News about the mental toll the COVID-19 pandemic has taken on them.

“I have been having a lot of negative thoughts and questioning my purpose in life,” BTS’ Jimin said. “I hope that COVID ends quickly and we can get back to doing the performances we love.”

Noting that he’s struggling with a “sense of isolation and that everything has come to a halt,” Suga says he’d like everyone to work together to stop the pandemic’s progress, “so we can emerge from this isolation and depression a bit faster.”

J-Hope said that he misses “the trivial daily part of life…When we travel or go on tour, people gather in groups and talk to us…I get an energy from those moments that I haven’t been able to feel lately.”

As for V, he misses the fans the most. “It’s been almost a year and a half, two years since I’ve had real eye contact with ARMYs,” he said. “Since I don’t see [them] in person, I sometimes wonder if they really exist.”

“Rather than photoshoots or TV shows, I could do concerts all day long. That’s the biggest loss for me,” said Jungkook.

J-Hope added that he hopes that “many people get vaccinated, and it becomes possible for us to safely have a concert.”

“We sympathize with people who fear vaccines, because it’s a change,” noted Jin. “It’s understandable to be wary of something that didn’t exist before. But I believe that if we’re afraid of the past, we won’t be able to make progress. We need to be more positive about the vaccine in order to create a better future.”

The Certified Lover Boy showed his love for over 1,000 of his friends and fans with a massive blowout Wednesday in Miami.

Drake rented the Dolphin Mall Dave & Buster’s for a private party, and Future was among his VIP guests, according to TMZ.

The Champagne Papi has much to celebrate: his CLB album has been number one for two weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold over one million units. His single “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug, is number two on the Billboard 100 after hitting the top of the chart last week. Two more tracks from the album are in the top ten: “Knife Talk,” featuring 21 Savage and Project Pat, is number four, and “Girls Wants Girls,” featuring Lil Baby, is number ten.

Drake played the album during the party, inspiring several women to twerk on top of video games.

In July, the four-time Grammy winner held a much more intimate event when he rented an empty Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for a dinner date with model Johanna Leia.

Drizzy also rented SoFi Stadium in LA in May to celebrate winning Artist of the Decade at the Billboard Music Awards. The Weeknd, Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Doja Cat, family members and other friends joined him at a banquet table set up at the 50-yard line.

The Temptations have released a brand-new single called “Is It Gonna Be Yes or No,” that was written and produced by and features guest vocals from fellow Motown legend Smokey Robinson.

The sensuous romantic ballad, which is available now as a digital download and via streaming services, will appear on the famed vocal group’s upcoming studio album, Temptations 60, in celebration of band’s 60th anniversary.

“Is It Gonna Be Yes or No” reunites The Temptations with Robinson, who wrote or co-wrote many of the group’s early hits, including “The Way You Do the Things You Do” and the chart-topping classic “My Girl.”

A behind-the-scenes video looking at the making of the song has been posted on The Temptations’ official YouTube channel. In the clip, Smokey explains, “I wanted to soften them up and write something sweet and gentle. Souful, ’cause they’re soulful singers.”

Otis Williams, the last surviving original Temptations member, then notes, “Because of Smokey, we started with ‘The Way You Do the Things You Do,’ and we’ve been rolling ever since. It’s only that Smokey be on this here album.

Smokey adds, “I’m so happy with the record…I can’t wait to see the public reaction to it.”

Among the musicians who contributed to the track were acclaimed session bassist Freddie Washington and longtime Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers drummer Steve Ferrone.

This past summer, The Temptations launched a yearlong 60th anniversary celebration that will run through June of 2022. Temptations 60 is due out next year, and the group also has a series of tour dates lined up, and is planning a special commemoration of Williams’ 80th birthday on October 30.

They were a synth-pop trio, she was a Pop-Punk Queen — can we make it any more obvious?

CHVRCHES has released a cover of the Avril Lavigne song “I’m with You” for Apple Music’s Home Sessions series. In contrast with their usual glitzy sound, Lauren Mayberry and company delivered a more grounded take on the Let Go single, befitting of the original’s vulnerability.

“I’m with You” is the third cover song from CHVRCHES over the past few months — they’ve also shared their versions of Echo and the Bunnymen‘s “The Killing Moon,” and Gerard McMahon‘s “Cry Little Sister,” aka the Lost Boys song.

As for original CHVRCHES music, the band’s new album Screen Violence just dropped in August.

Daniel Craig now has something special in common with his onscreen character, James Bond.

The British actor has been appointed as an honorary commander in the U.K.’s Royal Navy, matching his literary and on-screen alter ego, who’s also Royal Naval Reserve commander.

“I am truly privileged and honoured to be appointed the rank of Honorary Commander in the senior service,” the actor says in a statement, adding that he plans to use the honor as a way to support military families in the U.K.

“Daniel Craig is well known for being Commander Bond for the last 15 years — a naval officer who keeps Britain safe through missions across the globe. That’s what the real Royal Navy does every day, using technology and skill the same way as Bond himself,” said Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, First Sea Lord of the UK’s Royal Navy and Naval Service, in a statement.

Craig reprises the role of Bond in the series’ 25th installment, No Time to Die, marking his fifth and final appearance as the famous character. Equipment from the Royal Navy is featured in the film, including the HMS Dragon warship.

No Time to Die will be released in the U.S. on October 8.

Biden harshly criticizes Border Patrol agents for confronting Haitian migrants

(WASHINGTON) — President Joe Biden on Friday harshly criticized the action of some Border Patrol agents, mounted on horseback, who confronted Haitian migrants crossing the border into Texas, calling their actions “horrible.”

“It’s outrageous, I promise you, those people will pay,” Biden said.

Biden’s blunt statements came as the situation and the agents’ conduct are still under investigation and the agents have been placed on administrative leave. The use of horses has been suspended in the meantime.

Biden was responding to a question from ABC News Congressional Correspondent Rachel Scott, who asked, “You said on the campaign trail that you were going to restore the moral standing of the U.S., that you are going to immediately end Trump’s assault on the dignity of immigrant communities. Given what we saw at the border this week, have you failed in that promise? And this is happening under your watch–do you take responsibility for the chaos that’s unfolding?”

“Of course, I take responsibility,” Biden said, but he then quickly shifted to the controversial images of the agents on horseback. “I’m president but it was horrible to see what you saw to see people treat it like they did — horses family nearly running over people being strapped. It’s outrageous, I promise you, those people will pay. They will be — there is investigation underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It’s an embarrassment, beyond an embarrassment. It’s dangerous. It’s wrong, it sends the wrong message around the world, sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are,” he said.

Democrats, including members of the Congressional Black Caucus, have demanded an end to the Haitians being expelled and the ACLU and other migrant advocates have had the administration is illegally removing them through the use of Title 42, claiming they are justified in doing so for public health reasons because of the pandemic.

The U.S. special envoy for Haiti, Daniel Foote, has resigned in protest over the administration policy, calling the treatment of the Haitian migrants “inhumane.”
