As she gears up for the release of her next album, Subject to Change, Kelsea Ballerini already has plans to take her new batch of songs on the road.
This week, she announced her Heartfirst Tour, a 10-show string of dates that will run from September-October. She’ll kick off the trek in New York, making stops across the U.S. in cities like Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles and Kansas City before wrapping in Mashantucket, Connecticut on October 14.
Kelsea announced the news on Instagram, with a special video clip that takes aesthetic cues from the pastel, sky-blue themes she’s already established in the cover art of Subject to Change.
“I’ve really missed you,” she wrote in the caption. “Let’s jump right back in together for these 10 special nights.”
Kelsea’s new tour takes its name from “Heartfirst,” which is the lead single off of Subject to Change. She also recently released another song called “Love is a Cowboy.”
Quinta Brunson’s Emmy-nominated sitcom, Abbott Elementary, returns to ABC with new episodes on September 21. To celebrate, the cast and crew dropped by San Diego Comic-Con to spill all about their upcoming second season.
“We spent a lot of the first season building up what this show is capable of,” Brunson said during the virtual panel, according to Entertainment Weekly. “Now we just get to have these fun bottle episodes that sometimes teach you a lot about the world and sometimes you don’t learn about the world at all. You’re just having fun with these characters.”
Producer Patrick Schumacker revealed exactly why this is: season two will have “more episodes” than the first season, which had 13.
More episodes mean even more time to spend with the beloved cast of characters, which, according to Brunson, include getting a peek into some of their home lives.
“The most surprising home situation I would think would be Gregory (Tyler James Williams) or Jacob (Chris Perfetti),” she said, noting that “everybody else’s will be what you expect.”
If that isn’t enough, the season two premiere promises to feature a huge cameo.
“It’s one that is the biggest star in the world to me. They are the biggest star we’ve seen thus far at Abbott Elementary,” Brunson said.
Producer Justin Halpern agreed, adding that it was someone “we didn’t think we would get” and that they even had to move their shooting schedule around to accommodate the mysterious celebrity.
The estimated jackpot for Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing is now $660 million — making it the game’s third-largest prize ever.
At that amount, Friday’s jackpot would be the ninth-largest in U.S. history, including top Powerball winners.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on April 15, with a winning ticket in Tennessee claiming $20 million.
There have been no jackpot winners in the 27 consecutive drawings since then, with the grand prize growing from $20 million to an estimated $555 million as of Tuesday. Interest in the lotto has driven Friday’s grand prize up to an estimated $660 million, pre-tax.
The winner could choose to be paid out in one immediate payment and then 29 annual payments. Or, the lump-sum cash option for the drawing is estimated to be $376.9 million.
The largest jackpots in the history of the game were $1.537 billion, won in South Carolina in 2018, and $1.05 billion, won in Michigan in 2021.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the lottery game.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2.
We may now have the closest thing to a Stranger Things and Suicide Squad crossover, courtesy of Twenty One Pilots.
The “Stressed Out” duo has released a live video capturing a recent performance of the song “Heathens,” which, of course, was originally recorded for the soundtrack to the 2016 villain team-up movie starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto.
This particular performance, recorded during Romania’s Electric Castle festival, featured Twenty One Pilots incorporating visuals from Stranger Things into the stage production; Audio from the Neftlix series’ theme song and the evil season four villain Vecna were mixed into the song as well.
You can watch the “Heathens//Stranger Things” video streaming now on YouTube.
The Electric Castle concert marked the final date on Twenty One Pilots’ European tour. They’ll launch their U.S. Icy tour, supporting their 2021 record Scale and Icy, August 18 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Jon Pardi hides his heartache behind a good-timing smile in “Mr. Saturday Night,” the just-released title track of his upcoming new album.
“I feel like everybody wants to be ‘Mr. Saturday Night’ at one point on the weekend and have a good time,” the singer reflects. “But then you hear the song and — the way it’s so well-written — it’s a sad song, but you don’t go there right away, because it’s also a fun song.”
He adds, “That’s the thing about ‘Mr. Saturday Night,’ it’s more than meets the eye. It’s all fun until you get to the chorus.”
A steel-and-fiddle-soaked waltz, “Mr. Saturday Night” is a mournful ode to anyone who self-medicates their loneliness with alcohol and casual flings — then feels more alone than ever when the morning comes.
“So I buy a round and shut it down and never leave alone / But then Sunday comes and they get up and they go,” Jon sings in the chorus. “That’s why they call me Mr. Saturday Night / Mr. Always In, Mr. Never Missed a Good Time…”
In addition to dropping his new song, Jon shared the full track list of Mr. Saturday Night, which consists of 14 songs. It includes previously released singles “Last Night Lonely” and his Midland duet, “Longneck Way to Go,” plus a slew of as-yet-unheard tracks.

Billie Eilish isn’t above getting goofy on the jumbotron…
The Grammy winner enjoyed herself at a Dodgers game on Thursday, and it wasn’t long before the venue found out she was sitting in one of their front row seats.
In a video shared by SportsCenter, the venue fired up their beloved “dance cam” game that plays between innings, in which a member of the audience is prompted to dance to the music for all to enjoy on the big screen.
Naturally, the cameras trained on Billie as her smash-hit “bad guy” blared over the speakers. The Oscar winner got into her performance by snapping her fingers, bouncing and waving her arms in the air.
She was unable to keep a straight face and soon sunk into her seat while giggling uncontrollably. As this went on, her brother, FINNEAS, smiled awkwardly from his seat, not once joining in the impromptu dance session.
The announcers loved the bit and raved, “How cool is it for you to dance to your own tune at Dodgers Stadium?”
“That’s pretty cool, right there,” another announcer agreed.
The Dodgers had taken on the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night, beating them nine to six in game 1. They will butt heads again tonight at 10:10 p.m. ET.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are together in the city of love.
The famous couple was seen in Paris on Friday morning cuddling together in a park. “They were like two teens on a park bench – very loving, very attentive,” a source told PEOPLE.
Affleck and Lopez were later spotted walking around the city with their children. According to a source obtained by the publication, they explored the Marais district and Rue des Rosiers and even took a trip from Seine to the Musée d’Orsay.
This vacation comes less than a week after their surprise wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple walked down the aisle right before midnight on July 16 at the iconic Little White Wedding Chapel, a few months after publicly sharing their engagement.
(NEW YORK) — As the U.S.’s intensifying heat wave continues into the weekend, triathlons in the Northeast scheduled for Sunday were postponed and shortened.
The Boston Triathlon postponed its race to Aug. 21, while the New York City Triathlon shortened its bike and run courses for Sunday’s triathlon and duathlon races.
Michael O’Neil, the Boston race’s director, told ABC News the decision was made in coordination with the city and state due to the “current historic weather conditions.”
“We take the health of our athletes, volunteers and spectators seriously. Boston does not compromise on safety or athlete experience. Due to the oppressive heat and humidity that could cause serious health concerns while competing this weekend, we worked together with the City of Boston and State of Massachusetts to postpone the race until August. Everyone should stay safe and hydrate as much as possible this weekend,” O’Neil said in a statement.
Meanwhile, record high temperatures and excessive heat are expected to hit the Northeast with possible record high temperatures in Boston reaching 97 degrees and in New York City reaching 98 degrees on Sunday.
“With temperatures expected to reach the mid-90s this Sunday, in collaboration with local officials and meteorologists, we have made the difficult decision to shorten the run and bike portions of the NYC Triathlon and Duathlon. The safety of our athletes and everyone in attendance is our top priority,” the triathlon said in a statement.
The New York City bike course will be shortened from 40 kilometers, or 24.8 miles, to 20 kilometers, or 12.4 miles. The course’s north turnaround will now be at 181st Street and the West Side Highway.
New York’s run race course will be reduced from 6.2 miles to 2.5 miles. The first leg of the duathlon run will be reduced from 2 miles to 1 mile and the second leg will be reduced from 6.2 miles to 2.5 miles. The course’s south turnaround will be around 90th Street and West Side Highway.
“While it is disappointing to reduce the length of both races, our number one priority is to do all we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our competitors, volunteers, medical personnel and spectators,” the triathlon said in a statement on its website.
This will be the twentieth running of the New York City Triathlon and its first-ever official duathlon.
The New York City Triathlon strongly encouraged its athletes to maintain hydration before, during and after races.
There will be touchless aid stations within the transition and at miles 0.9, 1.9 and along the run course. There will be medical support and toilets at each aid station and ice towels will be handed out at the finish line.
