Billy Joel is not an artist who often gets political. But in the second part of his HBO documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, he has some very strong words for President Donald Trump regarding the comments he made after 2017’s Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

While Billy says in the film that he “never liked getting political onstage,” he did just that after Trump responded to the rally of white nationalists by giving a speech in which he said there were “some very fine people on both sides.”

Not long after the speech, Joel came out onstage at Madison Square Garden with a yellow Star of David on his jacket as a way of protest. He explained in the film, “I had to do something. I was angry.”

“Here they are marching through an American city saying, ‘Jews will not replace us.’ We fought a war to defeat these people!” he says. “And then when Trump comes out and says, ‘There were very fine people on both sides,’ he should’ve come out and said, ‘Those are bad people.’ There is no qualifying it. The Nazis are not good people. Period!”

Joel, whose father’s family escaped Nazi Germany, adds that while he didn’t want to “get up on a soapbox,” the star was his way of doing something. He said that he wore it “basically to say, no matter what, I will always be a Jew.”

Part two of Billy Joel: And So it Goes premieres Friday on HBO. Part one and two will also stream on HBO Max.

Yungblud plans to honor the late Ozzy Osbourne by covering the Black Sabbath song “Changes” at every one of his shows.

The “Fleabag” rocker performed the Vol. 4 ballad at the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5, which marked the final show by the original Sabbath lineup, as well as Ozzy’s last performance ever. Just over two weeks later, on July 22, Ozzy’s family announced that he’d passed away at age 76.

“To sing this song for you at an event surrounded by legends inspired by you to a crowd that loved you was truly my life’s greatest honor,” Yungblud writes in an Instagram post. “I vow to play this song every night for the rest of my life.”

Yungblud adds that Ozzy was “my hero in every regard” and hopes he’s “up there [having] a drink with Randy,” referring to Ozzy’s late guitar player Randy Rhoads.

“For the prince of darkness you sure brought all the light to the world,” the post concludes. “I love you Ozzy.”

John Forgerty continues to preview his upcoming album of rerecorded Credence Clearwater Revival classics, Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival years, which drops Aug. 22.

The rocker has now released his new take on “Travelin’ Band.” Fogerty said rerecording it “was like climbing a mountain,” adding, “I had to work myself up to hit that level again. I’d sing until I didn’t have anything left.”

He’s also released “Long as I Can See the Light,” which he says “means so much” to him.

“If you see a ray of light you can always find your way,” Fogerty says.

Both songs are now available via digital outlets.

Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival years, produced by Fogerty and his son Shane Fogerty, comes two years after Fogerty fully regained the rights to his CCR catalog. The album also features new takes on CCR classics like “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising.”

The rocker is backed on the album by both of his sons, Shane and Tyler Fogerty.

Legacy is available for preorder now.

“God Needs the Devil” artist Jonah Kagen has announced his debut album.

The record is called Sunflowers and Leather and is due out Sept. 5. A new song from the album, called “You Again,” is out now.

“It’s the most honest song I’ve ever written,” Kagen says of “You Again.” “After a relationship I had ended, I spent a whole year by myself – just me and my dog. Every time I tried to open up to someone new, I felt that same sinking feeling. This song is about not being able to shake someone, even after they’re gone.”

Sunflowers and Leather follows Kagen’s 2024 breakout single, “God Needs the Devil,” which hit #1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.

Kagen will be touring the U.S. throughout the summer and fall, including playing dates with Vance Joy.

You’ll soon be “Surrounded” by new music from Koe Wetzel. But for now, that’s simply the title of his new track, the first from his next album.

It’s one he’s already been performing on the road.

“The way fans have connected with ‘Surrounded’ at shows made it clear this needed to be the first new song we put out,” he says. “It’s been fun seeing the fans hyped online this week and we’re excited for everyone to finally hear the full version.”

At the same time, Koe just announced he’ll headline the Stronger Together benefit for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund Aug. 4 at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.

“Texas is home — these floods hit our neighbors hard and they need our help,” he says. “Music has a way of bringing people together, and I’m grateful to my friends who immediately raised their hands to help when we called. This benefit concert is our way of standing with the people of Texas and doing whatever we can to make a difference as our great state rebuilds.”

Kolby Cooper, Casey Donahew, Ray Wylie and Lucas Hubbard, Pecos Hurley, Mike Ryan, Shane Smith and Dylan Wheeler join Koe for the show. Tickets are on sale now.

Much like time, Beavis and Butt-Head also march on, as the iconic metal-loving duo is back for another go-round. Fittingly, Beavis’ favorite band Metallica soundtracks the new trailer for the series’ return.

The trailer begins with an animated Metallica performing their song “For Whom the Bell Tolls” as Beavis and Butt-Head fly into the stadium in a helicopter filled with gold.

“Beavis and Butthead, we love you guys!” James Hetfield exclaims from the stage.

“How much to buy Metallica?” Beavis asks, to which Hetfield replies, “One gold bar ought to be enough!” Cut to Hetfield getting hit in the head with said gold bar.

New episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head will air on Comedy Central starting on Sept. 3.

Travis Scott may have beat Justin Bieber in the race for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums chart this week, but the rapper was nice enough to show some love for Bieber’s album Swag.

Scott, whose Jackboys 2 went to the #1 while Swag debuted at #2, posted a shoutout to Bieber’s track “Yukon” on Friday.

“For the record bro slid,” he wrote on X, with a screenshot of “Yukon” playing.

The two artists previously collaborated on the 2015 track “Maria I’m Drunk.”

Jackboys 2 had the second-largest debut week for a rap album in 2025 and follows Scott’s own Days Before Rodeo album as the second-largest sales week for a rap album in the chart’s history.

Alex Warren and Justin Bieber top British charts with latest releases

Alex Warren and Justin Bieber aren’t British royalty, but they’re the kings of the charts across the pond.

After his song “Ordinary” set a record on the Official Singles Chart in the U.K., his album You’ll Be Alright, Kid has topped the Official Albums Chart in that country. The album was already on the chart in its original form — as a 10-track project called You’ll Be Alright Kid (Chapter 1), released in September — but since the full 21-track project was released, it’s jumped 24 spots to hit #1. It’s Alex’s first #1 album in the U.K.

As for Justin, his “Daisies” has topped the Official U.K. Singles Chart. The song is his eighth #1 hit in that country, which makes him equal to The Rolling Stones and Oasis; those bands have also topped the chart eight times.

“Daisies,” from Justin’s surprise album Swag, is his first solo #1 hit in the U.K. in nearly 10 years, following 2015’s “Love Yourself.”

In the U.S., “Daisies” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Alex will find out this weekend where his album has landed on the Billboard 200 chart. But no matter how high it climbs, Alex is grateful. He wrote on Instagram, “Almost a week of the album and honestly I’ve never been happier… I’ll never stop saying thank you, you have changed my life forever.”
