Trisha Yearwood fans are getting an early Christmas present this year. The two-time CMA female vocalist of the year will follow her new album, The Mirror, which came out in July, with an all-new holiday collection.

Christmastime will arrive Nov. 7, before she kicks off her orchestral Christmastime with Trisha Yearwood: 12 Days of Christmas Tour Dec. 2 in Nashville.

“Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of year, and these songs mean so much to me,” Trisha says. “To be able to perform them with a full symphony brings the magic to another level. I can’t wait to share this music and celebrate the season with fans on tour.”

Tickets go on sale Friday for the 12-date run, which wraps Dec. 20 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The new yuletide album includes “Merry Christmas, Valentine,” an original co-written and performed with her husband, Garth Brooks, as well as a new take on Elvis Presley‘s “Blue Christmas” and a version of “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Trisha’s most recent holiday record was 2016’s Christmas Together with Garth, following 1994’s The Sweetest Gift.

John Lennon performance from a 1971 short film he and Yoko Ono shot at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City has just been released.

The performance of the Carl Perkins tune “Honey Don’t” is part of the never-before-seen film Clock, in which Lennon filmed a carriage clock for an hour, with him and Yoko seen in the room’s mirror.

The film features Lennon performing 20 songs. The performances are part of the bonus material in the upcoming release Power to the People (Super Deluxe Edition), produced by the couple’s son, Sean Ono Lennon, which will be released Oct. 10, on what would have been John’s 85th birthday.

The nine-CD/three-Blu-ray box set, which focuses on John and Yoko’s political activism and early life in New York, includes 123 tracks, 90 of which have either never been heard before or were previously unreleased. That includes a new version of their 1972 album Sometime in New York City, as well as a completely remixed version of the pair’s 1972 One to One concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden, which were John’s only full-length concerts after leaving The Beatles.

In addition to the super-deluxe edition, there will be two-CD, four-LP and two-LP colored vinyl editions. All formats are available for preorder now.

On This Day, Sept. 10, 1966…

The Beatles hit #1 with their seventh studio album Revolver, which went on to spend six weeks in the top spot.

Regarded by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time, Revolver featured such Beatles classics as “Eleanor Rigby,” “Yellow Submarine,” “Good Day Sunshine,” “Got to Get You Into My Life” and “Taxman.”

The album was the last Beatles record released prior to the band’s retirement from touring.

Revolver’s cover, part line drawing part collage by German-born bassist and artist Klaus Voormann, won the 1967 Grammy Award for best album cover, graphic arts.

If you listen to Justin Moore‘s latest album or his current hit, “Time’s Ticking,” whether you realize it or not, you’re hearing a first.

That’s because up until now, his touring band has never backed him on an entire project. By the time he recorded 2024’s This Is My Dirt, Justin had decided it was high time to use his guys instead of studio players.

“Those are my brothers,” he reflects. “We spend so much time together. We spend as much time if not more than we do with our own families, so you become really tight and really close-knit.”

“Some of those guys have played on some things of mine in the past but never an entire album,” he explains. “So, to have them be on the entire album, [I] really probably should have done it a long time ago. And that’s my fault for not having done it until this point. But to have them on the album, [to] be a part of it is pretty neat.”

Justin’s eighth studio album also brought his 13th #1 when the title track topped the chart in October 2024.

It was 50 years ago — Sept. 10, 1975 — that KISS released their first-ever live album, Alive!, which helped them skyrocket to superstardom.

Before Alive!Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley weren’t having much success. While their live shows helped them gain a cult following, their first three albums — KISS, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill — failed to take off commercially.

But that all changed after the release of Alive!, a double album featuring live performances recorded at select shows on their 1975 tour.

In fact, Stanley credits Alive! for their success, telling ABC Audio it was because of that album that the public began to discover their songs like “Strutter,” “Deuce” and “Black Diamond.”

“KISS Alive! was really where those songs came to life,” he says. “The first three albums really didn’t sell particularly well. We were becoming well-known for our live show, but our record sales didn’t reflect that until KISS Alive!”

Alive! went on to hit #9 on the Billboard Albums chart and helped the band’s now signature tune, “Rock & Roll All Nite,” take off. The studio version only made it to #68 on the Billboard singles chart, but the live version reached #12.

Not only would the album save KISS’ career, but it also saved their label, Casablanca Records, which was having major money problems at the time.

The album went on to be certified Gold in the U.S. and has since sold more than 9 million copies worldwide.

As part of KISS’ celebration of the Alive! anniversary they’re sharing the story of the making of the album on their website, Kissonline.com. As the article notes, the album “cemented the group’s enduring legacy and 50 years on, it’s regarded as one of the greatest live albums of all time.”

Ty Dolla $ign has released the trailer for his upcoming album, Tycoon. The video opens with a group of suited businessmen who stare into the camera as the narrator describes the origins of the word “tycoon.” “They called them tycoons. That once meant ‘great lord’ in the tongue of feudal Japan, but the world twisted it like all beautiful things. They feast on indulgence, carve laws to suit their sins and erase guilt with money thick as blood,” the narrator begins. “When I asked, they left me nothing, for greed had consumed them, but they made a crucial mistake: They mistook my sympathy for grace.” Tycoon arrives on Oct. 17.

Wale has released a live version of his song “Blanco.” “Blanco (Remix)” featuring Tob is now available on streaming services, with a video of the performance available on YouTube.

Miguel has revealed he quietly welcomed a son with partner Margaret Zhang in a post commemorating his first birthday. “Our baby turned 1 today !!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELITO !!! We love you so much ! So proud and honored that you chose us to be your parents. Papá wrote you a song – hope it always reminds you of how loved you are,” Miguel wrote, alongside a video of him and his blurred-out son.

Keith Sweat, Joe, Dru Hill and Ginuwine are coming together for The R&B Lovers Tour, set to run from Feb. 13 in Norfolk, Virginia, to June 20 in Detroit, Michigan. The presale starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time; the general sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Offset performed his song “Bodies” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night. He was joined by the band Drowning Pool, whose song of the same name is sampled on the track.

Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell and Iron & Wine have released a collaborative cover of the Foreigner hit “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

The recording will appear on the pair’s upcoming joint covers EP, Making Good Time.

“[Producer] Brad Cook suggested this one and the little kid in me who remembers skating around the roller rink in the ’80s imagining he was Lou Gramm sat up and said ‘yes, let’s do it!'” says Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam. “Such an amazing chorus!”

Maybe Bridwell and Beam will follow in Foreigner’s footsteps and pitch to be Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding band.

Making Good Time, which follows Bridwell and Iron & Wine’s 2015 covers album, Sing into My Mouth, is due out Friday. It also includes the previously released cover of the Kendrick Lamar and SZA hit “Luther,” as well as renditions of songs originally by U2, boygenius and Roxy Music.

Band of Horses will launch a U.S. tour with Iron & Wine Sept. 18 in Seattle.

10 Years have premiered a cover of the Florence + the Machine song “No Light, No Light.”

The “Wasteland” rockers previously called the original tune, which appears on Florence’s 2011 album, Ceremonials, “one of our favorite tracks.” They also tease that they’ll play “No Light, No Light” on their upcoming U.S. tour, launching Sept. 23 in Lawrence, Kansas.

10 Years’ tour will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album, The Autumn Effect.

The “No Light, No Light” cover follows 10 Years’ 2024 EP, Inner Darkness, which spawned the single “The Optimist.” The band’s most recent album is 2020’s Violent Allies.

At the 2024 MTV VMAs, Sabrina Carpenter hit the red carpet in the same silver beaded Bob Mackie gown that Madonna wore to perform at the 1991 Oscars ceremony. And for her 2025 MTV VMA after-party, Sabrina once again wore a Bob Mackie previously worn by an iconic female singer.

According to Interview magazine, Sabrina’s after-party, styled as “Sabrina 54” after the legendary Studio 54 disco where all the stars partied in the ’70s, took place at a club in Brooklyn. The guest list included some of the other VMA performers, like Tate McRae and Doja Cat.

But the really interesting thing was Sabrina’s outfit: It was a pink, blue and black bodysuit with a fringed skirt, decorated with mirrored embellishments, which Mackie originally created for Cher to wear during a 1975 TV duet with Tina Turner. The two sang “Shame Shame Shame” by Shirley & Company on an episode of The Cher Show.

It wasn’t the only Mackie outfit Sabrina wore on Sunday night, either. During the show she also wore a piece called the “Swamp Dress,” from Mackie’s 1986 Spring collection.

InStyle believes Sabrina’s outfits are Taylor Swift Easter eggs. Why? Because Sabrina is on Taylor’s upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, and in the artwork for the album, Taylor wears a bejeweled showgirl outfit designed by — who else? — Bob Mackie.
