AFI has premiered a new song called “Ash Speck in a Green Eye,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…
In the chorus, frontman Davey Havok sings about “my Jeanne Duval,” presumably referring to the 1800s actress characterized as the muse of French poet Charles Baudelaire.
Musically, “Ash Speck in a Green Eye” continues down the ’80s goth path paved by the previously released songs “Behind the Clock” and “Holy Visions.”
Silver Bleeds the Black Sun… is due out Friday. It’s the follow-up to 2021’s Bodies.
AFI will launch a U.S. tour Tuesday in Madison, Wisconsin.

Yusuf/Cat Stevens has been forced to postpone the North American leg of his book tour in support of his upcoming memoir, Cat On the Road To Findout.
Stevens previously shared that the tour, Cat on the Road to Findout: An Evening Of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries, was “in serious jeopardy due to significant delays in U.S. immigration processing,” and apparently his visas still haven’t come through.
“Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could. However, at this point, the production logistics necessary for my show cannot be arranged in time,” he writes in a new post on Instagram. “I am really upset! Not least for my fans who have bought tickets and made travel plans to see me perform.”
But Stevens isn’t giving up hope that the tour could happen eventually.
“North American audiences may still get a chance to see the tour if visa approvals eventually come through,” he explains. “Those dates would be some time away because of other travel tour plans but, hopefully, fans will be able to hop on the Peace Train route at some time in the future.”
But even without the tour, fans will still be able to enjoy the book, which comes out Oct. 7.
Stevens notes, “[T]our delays should not affect the book, which you’ll still be able to enjoy… the obvious benefit of it being — books don’t need visas!”
Cat on the Road to Findout: An Evening Of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries was supposed to kick off Thursday in Philadelphia and wrap with two nights, Oct. 21 and 22, in Los Angeles.

Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k off of ‘Outside’ and ‘Imaginary Players’.. I didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be. I didn’t put out a album in 7 years and haven’t put out as much music in the last year but we just surpassed all that expectation,” she wrote, alongside a video of behind-the-scenes moments from the album-making process.
“Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen, did a video to the songs and everything!! You don’t know the confidence and boost you gave me in my music to keep pushing,” Cardi continued. “I can’t wait to see you guys on tour. Tonight we celebrate!!! I can’t pop no champagne… but maybe I can open up some cranberry juice or something!”
News of Cardi’s second #1 album arrived a day after she headlined the Global Citizen Festival. She performed “Outside,” “Errtime” and “I Like It” during her set, and had a chance to chat with Tyla and Ayra Starr backstage.

Taylor Swift Target exclusive edition of ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ (Mert Alas, Marcus Piggott & TAS Rights Management)
Never let it be said that Taylor Swift can’t laugh at herself.
In a new video posted on Instagram Monday, Taylor plays two roles: a director and the showgirl she’s directing in a promotion for the Target edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl, pressed on “Summertime Spritz” pink vinyl. In the video, Taylor gets more and more frustrated when Taylor the showgirl doesn’t take her direction.
“All right, we are still rolling, we’re gonna try this again, OK?” director Taylor says to showgirl Taylor. “We’re elegant. We’re luxurious. We’re in front of the most beautiful pink vinyl we’ve ever seen.”
“What is going on with the posture?” director Taylor asks. “It’s giving ‘no, girl,’ not showgirl. What are we doing? Elegance! Charm! Not that.” Cut to Taylor the showgirl, in front of a huge fake vinyl, clumsily tossing glitter in the air and almost falling over.
“She’s got cat hair all over her,” director Taylor whispers to someone off screen, before asking through her megaphone, “Is there a school we could very quickly send her to? Come on, honey, this is show business.”
Cut to showgirl Taylor struggling to open and display a poster of Taylor’s face. Taylor says in a voice-over, “The Life of a Showgirl. Exclusive edition, only at Target. And, it has a pretty big poster with it, too.”
The caption reads, “She’s got 4 days left to rehearse for her big moment.” The album arrives Oct. 3. As previously reported, some Target stores will open at 12 a.m. to welcome eager Swifties who want to be the first to get their hands on the new album.

Avenged Sevenfold has postponed their tour of Latin America due to frontman M. Shadows dealing with vocal issues.
“With a heavy heart, and regretfully, we have to announce that due to a specific condition called a vocal fold hematoma, we have made the necessary decision to push our tour to early next year,” A7X writes in an Instagram post.
In an accompanying video, Shadows shares that he felt was something was off following Avenged’s set at the Louder than Life festival on Sept. 19. Upon making the trip to Argentina for the first show of the Latin American tour, Shadows continued to feel unwell, and a visit to a doctor confirmed the vocal fold hematoma.
Shadows explains that he previously dealt with the condition in 2017. Avenged Sevenfold also canceled a tour in 2018 due to Shadows’ damaged vocal cords.
“Basically, if I shut this down now, I’ll have a couple weeks of voice rest and then a couple months of rehab, and we’ll be able to remake these dates to you,” Shadows says.
The rescheduled dates are set to be announced in a week.

Clairo‘s headlining set at the All Things Go festival at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City Sunday was cut short due to the venue’s noise curfew.
Fan-shot video shows Clairo’s mic going silent once the curfew hit. After a few attempts to try to get everything turned back on, Clairo and her band eventually waved goodbye to the crowd and left the stage.
“The festival cut us off,” Clairo posted to X. “No idea why. Really sad we couldn’t do our big finish, more surprised they cut my mic mid song. Sad honestly doesn’t even explain it – I’m sorry.”
Clairo later said, “They didn’t tell us about the noise ordinance btw.” She asked if she could pay a fine but “apparently there was nothing I could do.”
“We got cut off but that was a beautiful show nonetheless,” Clairo summed up in an Instagram post. “I’m really sorry. And I love you … I wish I could have had more time with you. But I loved every minute of it!”
According to Setlist.fm, Clairo was cut off in the middle of her 19th song of the night.

God save the Barbz. For we wrestle not against flesh & blood but against principalities & power…against spiritual wickedness in high places… God is in control.”
Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean’s Live Between the Hedges (Does Entertainment)
Peach State natives Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean will return to the University of Georgia for a special show on April 25, 2026.
The two first played Sanford Stadium in 2013 on Jason’s Night Train Tour. At that time, it was the only concert ever to be held at the venue.
“Playing Sanford Stadium in 2013 was one of the biggest highlights of my career,” Jason says. “I couldn’t be more excited to co-headline it this time with my buddy Luke Bryan. Luke and I have talked for years about wanting to do another show in Athens, and finally the stars have aligned for us to be able to do it. This one’s gonna be something people haven’t seen before….. WE PROMISE YA!”
Jason and Luke announced the concert Saturday before the Georgia/Alabama game.
“Growing up going to Sanford Stadium was always a highlight of the year for me and I can’t believe I get to go back as a co-headliner with one of my best friends and play this iconic place,” Luke reflects. “Aldean and I have been talking about putting on a unique show together for a few years and to be able to do that in our home turf is incredible.”
Fellow Georgia native Lauren Alaina will join Luke and Jason for the show, along with Zach Top. Presales are underway now, before tickets become available to the public on Friday.
