The Grand Ole Opry’s first-ever live broadcast outside of the U.S. is now one for the history books.

Grand Ole Opry: Live in London took place Friday, Sept. 26, at Royal Albert Hall. More than 5,000 fans attended the sold-out show.

The evening’s entertainment included Darius Rucker teaming up with Scottish folk band Breabach on “Wagon Wheel,” while Ashley McBryde joined Marty Stuart on his hit “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ Anymore.”

Carly Pearce treated the audience to a first-ever performance of her #1 “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with its co-writer Luke Combs, who also joined Mumford & SonsMarcus Mumford for “Always on My Mind.”

All the night’s artists came together to close out the show with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

The performances took place inside a circle of wood cut from the original stage floor of the Ryman Auditorium, just like the one at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

REO Speedwagon members Kevin Cronin, Bruce Hall, Neal Doughty and Alan Gratzer reunited Saturday to join the University of Illinois band, the Marching Illini, for a performance during halftime of the school’s homecoming game.

The group joined the band on the field for three songs, “Riding the Storm out,” “Roll With the Changes” and “157 Riverside Avenue,” the latter being a song from their 1971 self-titled first album.

REO Speedwagon formed in 1966 after Neal and Alan met at the school; Cronin gave the university a shout-out from the field.

“I wanna thank the people of Illinois, the city of Champaign-Urbana and this great university for providing a springboard for our music that launched us on a mind blowing musical experience,” Cronin told the stadium crowd.

In September 2024, REO Speedwagon announced they were going to cease touring as of January 2025. The halftime show was the first reunion of Cronin and his bandmates since they stopped touring.

“Visiting Champaign, IL always brings back great memories. It’s a very special place, the birthplace of REO Speedwagon,” Cronin wrote on Instagram. “We have the greatest fans in the world. The love and support I feel from you all is the fuel that keeps me rocking.”

Will the Oasis reunion continue into 2026?

Upon wrapping up the last of seven concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, Liam Gallagher declared, “See you next year.”

Oasis launched their reunion tour in July, marking the first time Liam and his formerly estranged brother Noel Gallagher have shared the live stage in 16 years. The outing included shows at three U.S. stadiums: Chicago’s Soldier Field, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.

Before the calendar flips to 2026, Oasis still has a run of 2025 dates to play in Asia, Australia and South America.

Meanwhile, it appears that the Oasis reunion might inspire another band to get back together: the Spice Girls. Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice attended Sunday’s Wembley show and shared a photo while tagging the other four Spice Girls in an Instagram Story.

“Tempting…,” Beckham wrote alongside the photo.

“Bottle Rockets” has risen to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts, giving Scotty McCreery his shortest run to #1 at only 20 weeks.

Of course, the song also features Hootie & the Blowfish recreating their first major hit, “Hold My Hand,” which made it to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.

It’s the seventh #1 for Scotty, who most recently topped the chart with his three-week #1, “Damn Strait,” in 2022.

“Any time your song hits No. 1, it feels great. To be able to hit No.1 with a song featuring a band you have loved your whole life is beyond amazing!” Scotty says. “Thanks to Hootie & The Blowfish for joining me on this song, thanks to Triple Tigers Records and Triple 8 Management for all their hard work, thanks to country radio and the streaming services, and thanks to the fans who have supported me from day one.”

“Bottle Rockets” also gives Darius Rucker an important distinction: He and Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard are the only solo artists ever to top the Billboard tally after previously hitting #1 with a duo or group.

AFI has premiered a new song called “Ash Speck in a Green Eye,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…

In the chorus, frontman Davey Havok sings about “my Jeanne Duval,” presumably referring to the 1800s actress characterized as the muse of French poet Charles Baudelaire.

Musically, “Ash Speck in a Green Eye” continues down the ’80s goth path paved by the previously released songs “Behind the Clock” and “Holy Visions.”

Silver Bleeds the Black Sun… is due out Friday. It’s the follow-up to 2021’s Bodies.

AFI will launch a U.S. tour Tuesday in Madison, Wisconsin.

Yusuf/Cat Stevens has been forced to postpone the North American leg of his book tour in support of his upcoming memoir, Cat On the Road To Findout.

Stevens previously shared that the tour, Cat on the Road to Findout: An Evening Of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries, was “in serious jeopardy due to significant delays in U.S. immigration processing,” and apparently his visas still haven’t come through.

“Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could. However, at this point, the production logistics necessary for my show cannot be arranged in time,” he writes in a new post on Instagram. “I am really upset! Not least for my fans who have bought tickets and made travel plans to see me perform.”

But Stevens isn’t giving up hope that the tour could happen eventually.

“North American audiences may still get a chance to see the tour if visa approvals eventually come through,” he explains. “Those dates would be some time away because of other travel tour plans but, hopefully, fans will be able to hop on the Peace Train route at some time in the future.”

But even without the tour, fans will still be able to enjoy the book, which comes out Oct. 7.

Stevens notes, “[T]our delays should not affect the book, which you’ll still be able to enjoy… the obvious benefit of it being — books don’t need visas!”

Cat on the Road to Findout: An Evening Of Tales, Tunes, and Other Mysteries was supposed to kick off Thursday in Philadelphia and wrap with two nights, Oct. 21 and 22, in Los Angeles.

Cardi B has done it again. Her new album, Am I the Drama?, is #1 on the Billboard 200, following in the footsteps of her debut, Invasion of Privacy. It earned 200,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 25, per Luminate, making history along the way. Am I the Drama? now logs the biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman in 2025. It also debuts at #1 on Top Streaming Albums with 110,000 SEA units and atop the Top Album Sales chart with 88,000 album sales.

Cardi took to her Instagram to thank her fans for all of their support. “Thank you sooo much everybody that supported my album!! Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k off of ‘Outside’ and ‘Imaginary Players’.. I didn’t know what the outcome was gonna be. I didn’t put out a album in 7 years and haven’t put out as much music in the last year but we just surpassed all that expectation,” she wrote, alongside a video of behind-the-scenes moments from the album-making process.

“Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen, did a video to the songs and everything!! You don’t know the confidence and boost you gave me in my music to keep pushing,” Cardi continued. “I can’t wait to see you guys on tour. Tonight we celebrate!!! I can’t pop no champagne… but maybe I can open up some cranberry juice or something!”

News of Cardi’s second #1 album arrived a day after she headlined the Global Citizen Festival. She performed “Outside,” “Errtime” and “I Like It” during her set, and had a chance to chat with Tyla and Ayra Starr backstage.

HUNTR/X is coming — to a TV near you.

EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the three women who provided the singing voices for Rumi, Mira and Zoey aka HUNTR/X in KPop Demon Hunters, will soon make their TV singing debut.

While the soundtrack for KPop Demon Hunters has topped the charts, the women behind its songs “Golden,” “How It’s Done” and “What It Sounds Like” have never performed live together. That will change Oct. 7, when they sing “Golden” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The three women will also be interviewed by Jimmy during the show.

Currently the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack is at #2 on the Billboard 200. The movie is now the most popular Netflix film of all time, with more than 325 million views globally.
