Will Lady Gaga face against with Barbra Streisand at the Grammys?

Lady Gaga ‘Harlequin’ album (Interscope)

While Lady Gaga is expected to receive multiple Grammy nominations in November for her album Mayhem, another one of her albums has been submitted as a contender.

First-round Grammy voting is now taking place and runs through Oct. 15. According to Billboard, Gaga has submitted her 2024 album, Harlequin — featuring alternate takes of songs she recorded for her movie Joker: Folie à Deux — in the category of best traditional pop vocal album. It’s a category she’s won twice before, for the two albums she made with Tony Bennett.

According to Billboard, that means Gaga may end up going up against her friend Elton John, who’s entered his album with Brandi Carlile, Who Believes In Angels?, in the same category. But she may also be competing against Barbra Streisand, whose all-star duets album The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2 has also been submitted.

Billboard predicts that Gaga, Elton and Barbra will all receive nominations, as will an artist who duets with Barbra on her album: Laufey. The Icelandic vocalist won the category two years ago. Her latest album, A Matter of Time, may also get a nod.

As for the fifth slot in the category, Billboard reports that the contenders include Seth McFarlane for his album Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements; Jennifer Hudson‘s holiday release, The Gift of Love; and actor Jeff Goldblum‘s jazz album Still Blooming. Albums by Christina Aguilera, Belinda Carlisle and Stephen Bishop have also been submitted.

We’ll find out Nov. 7 who made the cut when Grammy nominations are announced. The Grammy Awards will take place Feb. 1, 2026.

Luke Combs has now passed Garth Brooks as the country artist with the most RIAA certifications in history, having sold 168 million units during his career.

“When my team first told me about this, my initial reaction was, ‘Are you sure? There’s no way,’” Luke says. “It was only 8 years ago that I got my first plaque for ‘Hurricane’ going gold. I knew then, without a doubt, I had the best fans in the world. The song had gone platinum before they could even give me the gold plaque.”

Luke is quick to give all the credit to his supporters.

“I’m super humbled by the fans’ belief in me and support of my music today and over the years,” he continues. “I know this does not happen without them. This achievement is more so theirs than it is mine. All I ever hoped and dreamed of from the beginning of this crazy ride was to make music that made people feel something and I can’t wait to continue making country music for the rest of my life.”

Luke just released the three-track The Prequel ahead of the arrival of his new album next year, which will also feature his current top-10 hit, “Back in the Saddle.”

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour.

The rocker initially canceled a show at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California, on Sept. 26 after injuring himself in a fall, but now Frehley has cleared his schedule for the year.

“Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates,” reads a post on Frehley’s Instagram.

He currently has one 2026 date on the books; he’s due to play Highland, California, on Feb. 26.

Frehley initially announced that despite the California cancellation he was still hard at work in the studio, sharing that he looked forward to “finishing work on his next album, Origins Vol. 4.”

Origins Vol. 2 is a covers album that was released in 2020. Origins Vol. 3 is expected out sometime in 2025, although no release date has been revealed.

Foo Fighters have met a few new feathered friends while on tour in Asia.

The band has posted a video on Instagram of Dave Grohl narrating footage of different birds he’s seen during the ongoing tour.

“So great meeting our new fans!!!” the post’s caption reads. It also tags National Geographic — maybe if this music thing doesn’t work out, Grohl can start another career as a nature documentarian.

Foo Fighters’ tour of Asia continues Tuesday in Tokyo. The trek follows a recent run of pop-up last-minute U.S. dates, which marked the Foos’ first with new drummer Ilan Rubin.
