Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have been asked plenty of times over the years whether Rush would ever go back on tour, and apparently that answer is yes.

The rockers have announced dates for the Fifty Something tour, which will mark their first trek since wrapping the R40 tour in 2015. It will also be their first tour since the death of drummer Neil Peart in 2020.

“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,” says Geddy. “After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we f***** miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music.”

Playing drums on the tour will be Anika Nilles, who previously worked with the late Jeff Beck. Geddy calls Anika “an incredible drummer and musician.”

The tour will hit seven cities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with the band playing two sets each night, promising new sets for each show. The trek kicks off June 7 in Los Angeles and wraps Sept. 17 in Cleveland.

A Rush artist presale will begin Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. local time for the U.S. and Canada, and Oct. 16 at 12 p.m. local time for Mexico. Fans need to register in advance for a chance to participate. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. local time for the U.S. and Canada, and 11 a.m. local time for Mexico.

A complete list of dates and more ticket information can be found at Rush.com.

Jack Osbourne opens up about the death of his father Ozzy Osbourne and reading the metal legend’s posthumous memoir, Last Rites, in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America.

“I think the last chapter’s the hardest,” Jack tells ABC News’ Chris Connelly of Last Rites. “[Ozzy] was happy. He was in such a good mood.”

In the book, Ozzy writes, “If I’d been clean and sober, I wouldn’t be Ozzy. If I had done normal, sensible things, I wouldn’t be Ozzy.”

“There’s definitely some truth to that,” Jack says. “But here’s the thing, he was clean and sober at the end. And he was still Ozzy.”

Ozzy died on July 22, just over two weeks after he performed live for the last time at the Back to the Beginning concert on July 5 in his hometown of Birmingham, England.

“None of us expected it to be like this, with that outpour of love,” Jack says of the response to Ozzy’s passing.

In regards to how his mother, Sharon Osbourne, is doing, Jack shares, “When people have been asking me that question, I say, ‘She’s OK, but she’s not OK.'”

“I know she feels the love,” he adds.

Last Rites is due out Tuesday.

Taylor Swift says fans need to calm down: Just because she’s getting married doesn’t mean she’ll stop making records.

While appearing on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, Taylor was asked if The Life of a Showgirl was going to be her last album, with Mills noting that he saw fans theorizing that she’d get married and have children and stop making music.

“No!” Taylor replied, adding that that idea is “a shockingly offensive thing to say. It’s not why people get married, so that they can quit their job.”

Taylor went on to note that she’s marrying a guy who “loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music” — which is why she’d never stop.

“That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he’s so, he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us,” she explained. “There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making the music, the music thing that I signed up for, that I knew you love, I thought you were gonna stop doing that.’”

“[It’s] the most fun thing in the world to be able to support each other,” she added.

Travis supported Taylor by attending her Official Release Party of a Showgirl theatrical event, along with his mom Donna Kelce. He has said that his favorite song on the record is “Opalite.”

Mariah Carey‘s new album Here For It All has allowed her to add even more milestones to her already impressive collection of chart records.

Here For It All, Mimi’s first collection of new music in seven years, debuts at #7.  It’s her 19th top-10 album, making her the third woman ever to have at least one new top 10 in the ’90s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s, following Madonna and Shania Twain.

Plus, Mariah now ranks third among women when it comes to top-10 albums: Only Barbra Streisand and Madonna have more, with 34 and 23, respectively.

To promote the new album, Mariah did all the things, including an in-store signing at a record store in her old stomping grounds of Long Island, New York; appearances on The Tonight Show, The Jennifer Hudson Show and Live with Kelly and Mark; a sit-down with Apple Music and a bunch of online content.

Later this month, Mariah will perform in Asia and the Philippines, and in November, she’ll kick off her Las Vegas Christmas residency.

The soundtrack to KPop Demon Hunters has gone back up, up, up to reclaim the #1 spot on the Billboard 200, during a busy week for new album debuts.

This marks the soundtrack’s second week at #1; it first topped the chart the week of Sept. 20. Meanwhile five other albums have debuted inside the top 10, marking the most debuts since late July. Leading those debuts is Doja Cat‘s’ new album Vie, which enters the chart at #4, giving her her fourth top 10.

Coincidentally, both Doja Cat and Ejae, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna — the singers behind the KPop Demon Hunters group HUNTR/X — appeared on Saturday Night Live this past weekend.

Rapper Young Thug scores his ninth top-10 album with UY SCUTI, which debuts at #6, while Mariah Carey’s new album Here For It All, her first collection of new music in seven years, debuts at #7.

British singer Olivia Dean scores her first-ever entry on the Billboard 200 with her second album, The Art of Loving, which enters at #8.  In her home country of the U.K., the album debuted at #1.

Finally, K-pop group P1Harmony enters at #9 with EX, marking their first top 10.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill’s philosophy for raising strong women

Twenty-nine years ago on Oct. 6, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill tied the knot in his aunt’s backyard in Rayville, Louisiana.

It wasn’t long before they welcomed the first of three daughters, 28-year-old Gracie McGraw, followed by 27-year-old Maggie McGraw and 23-year-old Audrey McGraw.

“Anybody that’s a parent knows that if you get 30% of it right, you’re doing well,” Tim says. “You make way more mistakes than you do right.”

As a girl dad, Tim had one main goal.

“Faith and I have always wanted them to realize they have control of their life,” he explains. “They have agency over themselves. They have the right to do what they want to do with their lives and can chase anything that they want and dream as big as they want to dream, and don’t let anybody hold you back.”

Tim jokes that philosophy does have a bit of a downside.

“Now that can come back and bite you down the road a little bit,” he chuckles. “We’ve raised three really strong, intelligent young women and we’re really proud of that.”

Tickets for Tim’s December residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas are on sale now.

Bruce Springsteen got his start playing clubs in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and now a hotel in the beachfront community is honoring him with a new Springsteen-inspired hotel suite.

People reports that The Asbury Hotel has teamed with The Boss’ longtime photographer Danny Clinch to create what they are calling “The Boss Suite,” filled with Springsteen photos, music and more.

“People in New Jersey, they love their Bruce Springsteen,” Simon Little, The Asbury Hotel’s area director of sales and marketing, tells the magazine. “We’ve always wanted to do [this suite]. This year seems to be a perfect storm for it.”

The hotel room features a “mini gallery” of Springsteen photos, along with a Springsteen-specific collection of vinyl records guests can play on the room’s turntable. There’s even a mural on one wall featuring a photo from the rocker’s 2024 headlining set at Clinch’s Sea.Hear.Now festival. A shot of Springsteen leaning against Clinch’s 1948 Pontiac is hanging right above the bed’s headboard.

“You’re going to be able to show up in the room, unpack your stuff, throw a Springsteen record on, and there you are in Asbury Park. You can look out the window and you can see the boardwalk,” Clinch says. “For a Bruce fan, I just think it’s going to be so cool.”

The hotel is also channeling Springsteen with its food and drink choices. Guests can order up the rocker’s favorite late-night snack, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk, or order the Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out cocktail at their lobby bar.

More info on The Boss Suite can be found at TheAsburyHotel.com.

Between being let go from Foo Fighters and rejoining Nine Inch Nails, drummer Josh Freese has had perhaps the most publicized year of his career. But he’s been continuously playing in bands for over 30 years, including A Perfect Circle, Guns N’ Roses and the now-defunct Sublime with Rome.

Rome Ramirez, who fronted the Sublime offshoot until its dissolution in 2024, has fond memories of playing with Freese.

“He’s just the absolute, absolute funniest dude, like, ever,” Ramirez tells ABC Audio of Freese. “His sense of humor runs so thick, and he just keeps such a youthful sort of energy on the road that makes it a pleasant experience to be touring with.”

Beyond that, Ramirez calls Freese “one of the greatest drummers in the world.”

“There’s nothing that he cannot play that you throw at him he can’t handle,” Ramirez says.

Freese was a member of Sublime with Rome from 2011 to 2017 and played on their 2015 album, Sirens.

“I’ve had so much fun with Josh in the band,” Ramirez says. “He’s such a great guy, and still to this day we’re tight.”

Ramirez adds that “it’s really cool to see [Freese] back with Nine Inch Nails,” with whom he originally played from 2005 to 2008.

“I know how much he loved playing with Trent [Reznor] and the band,” Ramirez says.

Nine Inch Nails just announced a 2026 U.S. leg of their Peel It Back world tour, which kicks off in February.

Ramirez, meanwhile, released his debut solo EP, Gemini, in September.
