HUNTR/X may not actually exist, but they’re getting close to matching a chart record set by one of the biggest girl groups of all time.

“Golden,” by the KPop Demon Hunters animated female trio, has notched an eighth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Only one song by an all-female group has ever spent longer at #1 on that chart: “Independent Women Part 1” by Destiny’s Child, which ruled for 11 weeks starting in November 2000.

Billboard notes that the success of “Golden” could lead to a record of the year nomination at next year’s Grammys, making it the first K-pop hit to be so honored. HUNTR/X would also be the second animated act to land a record of the year nomination, following The Chipmunks, who were nominated in 1959 for their holiday hit “The Chipmunk Song.”

HUNTR/X — that is, the voices behind the group, EJAE [EE-jay], Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami  briefly appeared on the Oct. 4 episode of Saturday Night Live, but they’re set to make their full TV singing debut Tuesday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Tate McRae‘s new single, “Tit for Tat,” which fans believe is a diss track aimed at her ex-boyfriend The Kid LAROI, debuts at #3. It’s Tate’s highest-debuting single ever, and she now has two songs in the top five. Her duet with Morgan Wallen, “What I Want,” is at #4.

Tate wrote on her Instagram Story, “my first ever solo top 10 debut. Wow best fans in the world this is insanity holy s***!!!!!!!”

“And yall got [‘Tit for Tat’] to 40 million streams in a week and a half excuuuseeee meee,” she added.

Rod Stewart playing halftime at the Super Bowl? He’s not interested.

Speaking to People, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and soccer fan says the idea of headlining the Super Bowl or World Cup holds no appeal for him because he’s already performed on the only stage that counts.

“I’ve done Glastonbury, so I’m happy,” he said, referring to the U.K.’s most prestigious festival. He performed there in 2002 and last summer.

In fact, Rod says he really doesn’t have any goals for the future. “There’s no bucket list,” he notes. “I’ve done it all.”

But that doesn’t mean he plans to retire. The 80-year-old rocker, who just announced a new batch of Las Vegas residency dates for 2026, said, “I still enjoy what I’m doing. I love it. You can tell: It’s written all over my face.”

And when he’s not performing, he’s in the studio. Rod reveals, “I’m supposed to be doing a country album, and I’m halfway through doing an original album.”

Rod’s last album of original music was 2021’s The Tears of Hercules.

Cardi B has been open about the dark times she experienced in her marriage to Offset, and she credits Shakira for giving her some advice along the way. While on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, she reflected on how that relationship took a toll on her mental health and prevented her from working on her album.

“Last year, I was planning [to] put out an album, but I couldn’t focus. I fell in the deepest depression that I had ever had. And with that depression, I couldn’t function, I couldn’t function at nothing. And when I talk about function, it’s not even like, oh, just working. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t do nothing,” she said.

Cardi said she had the realization that she and Offset were falling out of love.

“I felt the love dying — from my end, from his end,” said Cardi. “I was very lonely, because I chose to be lonely.”

She sought advice from Shakira, who told her she would get through it.

“Around that time I was working with Shakira and I was like, ‘How the f*** did you over overcame this? Like, how did you overcame this?'” Cardi recalled of her conversation with Shakira, who broke up with partner Gerard Piqué after two kids and over a decade together.

“She’s like, it’s going to happen,” Cardi continued. “And it’s like, ‘It will never happen.’ And it happened.”

“It took some crying, it took some thoughts, scary thoughts,” she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Cardi discussed fighting to maintain her success, balancing her career and motherhood, her unwavering faith in God and more.

Weezer‘s “Island in the Sun” has certainly had many, many days in the sun.

The track has racked up 1 billion streams on Spotify, giving Rivers Cuomo and company their first-ever entry into the platform’s Billions Club Playlist.

“When a band puts a song out into the world, there’s no telling whether it will soar or wither,” reads a post to Weezer’s Facebook commenting on the achievement.

The post notes that “Island in the Sun” had started as “a very simple demo” during Weezer’s “no man’s land” period during their hiatus following the release of 1996’s Pinkerton. It was eventually included on the band’s 2001 comeback effort, the Green Album.

“[‘Island in the Sun’] wasn’t as big a hit as its predecessor, ‘Hash Pipe,'” the post reads. “But it soon made a bigger and bigger impact in Europe and started to show up in the US all over the place by 2002. Since then it’s only spread further, and has become an absolutely cherished essential in the band’s live set.”

“Now a wild milestone has been reached, where ‘Island’ had hit 1 BILLION streams on Spotify!” Weezer concludes. “If that doesn’t show how far that simple little demo has come, nothing does!”

Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen will play his final show with the band on Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey. And it sounds like he’s not totally sure what he’ll do next.

“I’m trying not to use the word retirement. I don’t even know what that means,” he tells People. “I’m not looking for future work. I’m so fortunate to be able to make that choice.”

He adds, “Although I love what I do, I’ve been in this business nearly 50 years, and I put in my time.”

When it comes to his final show, Kelly says, “I want it to be joyous and I want it to be memorable and I want it to be fun.”

“I’ve been telling the audience that I’m taking mental snapshots because this year is different than the 20 years prior, because the 20 years prior were the blur of being in the thick of it,” he says. “Now I’m poking my head out of the forest, and I’m seeing the pasture ahead, and I’m not just fighting the trees every day. I’m seeing the sun, the pasture in front of me.”

And while Kelly’s life will certainly change once he comes off the road, he tells People he’s “not troubled by living a smaller life.”

“I mean, I’ve lived, my whole life has been loud music and bright lights and a lot of s***, and I spent a lot of my time trying to avoid f****** landmines, and I don’t want to have to do that,” he says. “I just want to live my life with my friends and my family and just dig it.”

Foreigner guitarist Luis Maldonado will take over frontman duties when Hansen leaves. A complete list of Foreigner dates can be found at Foreigneronline.com.

Dua Lipa continued her Radical Optimism tour tradition of covering songs by local musical heroes during her first two nights at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. She sang “The Chain” by famed LA band Fleetwood Mac on Saturday and covered “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas & the Papas on Sunday. Dua posted footage of both performances on her Instagram

Taylor Swift isn’t the only one who can date a football player: Madison Beer has seemingly confirmed her relationship with Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. In a video posted to social media, Herbert, 27, ran over to kiss and hug the “Make You Mine” singer, 26, before his game Sunday against the Washington Commanders. The pair were first spotted together in August, according to People.

Speaking of Taylor, she’s announced another variant of The Life of a Showgirl. It’s a digital release called the Deluxe Alone in My Tower Acoustic Version, and includes acoustic versions of “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Eldest Daughter,” as well as two original songwriting voice memos for the song “The Life of a Showgirl.” It’s available until 2 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Post Malone will celebrate the official opening of his bar, Posty’s, in Nashville on Wednesday — and maybe he’ll roll up to the place in his new Earthroamer SUV. The massive luxury camping vehicle costs over a million dollars.

Graham Norton reportedly shut down Taylor Swift question about having babies

Taylor Swift, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ (Life Is A Song Acoustic Version) (TAS Rights Management)

The Taylor Swift episode of The Graham Norton Show, which aired in the U.K. Friday, won’t be available on BBC America for a bit. But according to one audience member, certain things happened live during the show that were cut out when the final version hit the airwaves.

An audience member with the TikTok handle @sammienicole_ said that when Norton asked Taylor about her wedding planning, guest Jodie Turner-Smith chimed in with, “What about babies?” Taylor thought Turner-Smith was asking her whether she was going to allow babies to attend her wedding, leading her to reply that nobody under 18 would be coming.

But Turner-Smith pressed on, asking Taylor, “No, no, I mean are you gonna have babies?”

“Graham was so on top of it,” @sammienicole_ said. “Instantly he went, ‘That’s an off-camera conversation to have’ and then they moved on. So yeah, that was a big one that got cut out.”

In other Taylor news, during her interview with BBC Radio 2 she told host Scott Mills that the big difference between The Life of a Showgirl and The Tortured Poets Department was that when she wrote TTPD, she was “just miserable,” but when she released it, she was “so happy.”

With the new album, Taylor said, “I’m in a very similar space in my life as to when I wrote it and now that I’m putting it out, which is nice. It’s nice when those things are not incongruous.”

Tim McGraw is still head over heels for Faith Hill.

For the couple’s 29th wedding anniversary on Monday, the “Highway Don’t Care” singer posted a photo of him with Hill on Instagram, along with a note.

“29 years ago, on this day Oct 6 1996, I was on cloud 9!” McGraw wrote. “I was marrying the girl of my dreams, she was everything, my complete soulmate!”

He continued, “We have been through so much together, our girls growing up, me trying to grow up, and you, you, you, always there, always there for all of us when we fell, always you when we triumphed, always you.”

“When we love, when we live, when we think of how to love, live and dream, always you,” McGraw added. “You are my girl, I love you with a fire that grows each passing year.”

In a 2023 Instagram post for their 27th anniversary, McGraw said he and Hill met in 1994 while backstage at the New Faces show at Country Radio Seminar.

McGraw wrote at the time that he fell for Hill “in an instant!”

The singer proposed to Hill on June 26, 1996, and the couple tied the knot four months later.

McGraw and Hill share three daughters, Gracie McGraw, Maggie McGraw and Audrey McGraw.
