Shawn Mendes keeps it real while responding to Camila Cabello’s fart video

MEGA/GC Images

On Wednesday, Camila Cabello used boyfriend Shawn Mendes to create a hilarious TikTok video depicting the honeymoon phase of a relationship, “when you can’t fart or Poo or be a human.”

In the clip, Camila waves goodbye to Shawn, and as soon as he leaves the room, she lets one loose.  Now Shawn has commented on Camila’s real-life gas-passing habits.

When Camila posted the video to her Instagram, Shawn wrote in the comments, “But u do fart tho.”  Fans, of course, found this hilarious, but some took him to task for “exposing” Camila. “You threw her under the bus,” admonished one fan, while another added, “Poor Camila,” and a third wrote, “shut up Shawn girls don’t fart.”

Of course, Shawn may have just been paying Camila back for a TikTok she made earlier this month in which she trolled him for a super-awkward video he made.  In his original TikTok, Shawn couldn’t quite get the hang of editing, and ended up with abrupt jump cuts and scenes where he’s just staring at the camera.  Camila filmed herself lip-syncing to Shawn’s clip, and mimicking his stares and weird edits.

She captioned the clip, “My fave Tik Tok.”

Jared Leto trends on Twitter as fans react to surprising look for ‘House of Gucci’ movie

MGM

Move over, tattooed Joker: Jared Leto‘s latest film role might be his most unrecognizable look yet.

The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman and Oscar-winning actor shared the character poster for his part in the upcoming film House of Gucci, which details the assassination of real-life fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci.

For his role as Paulo Gucci, Maurizio’s cousin, Leto appears covered in prosthetics to make him look him older and heavier, complete with a bushy mustache and, perhaps most surprisingly, a bald head surrounded by hair on the sides.

Naturally, the photo has been receiving quite the reaction, causing Leto to trend on Twitter on Thursday afternoon. One commenter compared Leto’s look to Jeffrey Tambor, while another quipped, “Clearly, Jared Leto visited the beach that makes you old” — a reference to the new M. Night Shyamalan film, Old.

Along with the poster, Leto tweeted, “Stasera” — Italian for “tonight” — suggesting the House of Gucci trailer might be dropping before the day is over.

House of Gucci, directed by Ridley Scott, is due out on November 24. It also stars Adam Driver as Maurizio, and Lady Gaga as Gucci’s ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of arranging his killing.

‘Big Draco’ Soulja Boy receives a Yellow McLaren for his 31st birthday

Jerritt Clark/Getty Images

It pays to have rich friends like Ray J, who gifted Soulja Boy a McLaren worth at least $200,000 for his 31st birthday on Wednesday.

According to TMZ, Soulja pulled up late to his birthday party in Los Angeles in a yellow McLaren, but the party was over before it really began. His friend and rapper OG 3Three hosted the party, which was shut down by local police, who reportedly received numerous noise complaints.

To celebrate his 31st trip around the sun, Soulja also released his new album, Big Draco, featuring Omarion, Tadoe and his Verzuz competitor Bow Wow. Almost every song is under three minutes, with the exception of the track “Trappin So Hard,” featuring Desiigner, which is nearly four minutes. On “I Was the First Rapper,” Soulja declares himself as the first rapper to go viral on YouTube.

Demi Lovato is joining Paris Hilton for the socialite’s new Netflix cooking show, Cooking with Paris.

In a hilarious sneak peek of the episode, the two attempt making unicorn cannolis and end up failing miserably. After they decorate the pink-and-purple cannoli shells with sprinkles and edible glitter, they try to fill them, only to realize that the cream has melted.

“I was supposed to keep this in the refrigerator. We’ve had it out the whole time,” Paris says as Demi laughs. “So it’s all melted. Great.”

Paris then tries to wipe off some of the mess with a towel, but Demi tells her, “That’s a glove!”

The two then just decide to cover the cannolis with even more sprinkles and glitter and call it a day.

Cooking with Paris debuts Wednesday, August 4, on Netflix.

Kirk Hammett teases new, “very appropriate for the times” Metallica music

Credit: Ross Halfin

Metallica has been working on new music, and Kirk Hammett is hoping it will do more than just get people headbanging.

Speaking with Classic Rock magazine, the guitarist shares that he wants the metal legends’ next album to “cut through the division” people have been feeling.

“Metallica has always been about bringing people together through music,” Hammett says. “I think the sentiment now is that people need music more than ever to bring everyone together and collectively celebrate that we’ve got to this point.”

He adds, “There’s a lot of division in the world. Hopefully this Metallica album will cut through the division and bring people together in ways that are more beneficial for everyone overall.”

Hammett also reveals that the new material feels “very appropriate for the times.”

“Music should bring everyone together, it should be a celebration,” he says. “That’s what music is about. It’s not about selling albums or getting Grammys, it’s about putting out good music and helping the situation with that music.”

Metallica’s most recent album is 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.

Meanwhile, Metallica is prepping a deluxe reissue of 1991’s The Black Album in honor of its 30th anniversary. That will be released on September 10, along with the 53-track Metallica Blacklist tribute compilation.

It’s no RickRoll: “Never Gonna Give You Up” finally hits one billion YouTube views

Bernd Muller/Redferns

It’s hard to believe it’s taken this long, but Rick Astley‘s 1987 video for “Never Gonna Give You Up” has finally hit one billion YouTube views.

The cheese-tastic clip for Astley’s number-one hit earned a second life online starting in 2007 thanks to the popular RickRolling meme, where you’re directed to click on a link but instead of getting what you expect to see, you get Astley’s video instead.

This year alone, the clip received 2.3 million daily views on April Fool’s Day.

This makes “Never Gonna Give You Up” only the fourth music video of the ’80s to join the Billion Views Club, following Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine”, a-ha’s “Take on Me,” and Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.”
