Adele and her boyfriend Rich Paul stepped out for another courtside date night Tuesday night.

The 33-year-old singer and the 39-year-old sports agent took in a Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Golden State Warriors game at the Staples Center in L.A. Adele looked chic in a brown leather ensemble with a Louis Vuitton coat, while Rich wore an olive suede jacket with a black turtleneck.

The two made their first public appearance together back in July at game 5 of the NBA Finals. Adele recently opened up about the relationship to Vogue, saying that Rich is the first man she’s dated since her divorce who has been accepting of her fame.

“Rich just incredibly arrived,” she said. “I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild. I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.”

Dionne Warwick is back at it again on Twitter and this time, she has a question for Saweetie.

The legendary sainger, who previously made headlines for wondering how The Weeknd and Chance the Rapper got their stage names, is now pondering how the “Back to the Streets” rapper got hers.

“Why is that young lady’s name spelled ‘Saweetie’ and not ‘Sweetie’?” Warwick wrote on Tuesday, adding a follow-up tweet, “This new generation is so creative and fun. ‘Saweetie’ is fun to say!”

The 80-year-old “I Say a Little Prayer” singer was met with a slew of responses, with some asking her to answer the same question given that her full name is Marie Dionne Warrick.

Eventually, though, fans provided the answer she wanted, with one user sharing a screenshot of a quote from an interview Saweetie did with Tidal that explained she got the nickname from her grandmother, but decided to spell it differently.

“Everybody had their nicknames on MySpace so I was like ‘OK, I like Sweetie, but I don’t like the word ‘sweetie,’ so I’m going to spell it this way,” she shared.

After getting the answer, Warwick thanked her followers for the help by tweeting, “Thank you all for answering my question about @Saweetie. I do like the name. I was just curious about the spelling.”

Mariah Carey has entered the world of cryptocurrency, with a little help from Cameron and Tyler  Winklevoss, and hopes her fans follow in her footsteps.

The “Fantasy” singer has partnered with Gemini, a cryptocurrency platform founded by the Winklevoss twins in an effort to educate women about the new method of investing.  You may remember the Winklevoss twins from the movie The Social Network about the founding of Facebook — they sued Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly stealing ideas from them to create his social media behemoth.

Mariah announced the new venture on Tuesday, adding that it has helped her learn the ropes of cryptocurrency and encouraged her fans to sign up and use her special code to get started with $20 in free bitcoin.

She also noted that a portion of all trading fees attached to accounts that used Mariah’s code at sign up will be donated to the nonprofit Black Girls Code, which specializes in educating women of color in technology and computer programming by teaching them important skills used in STEM fields.

This week, newcomer Elvie Shane reaches the pinnacle of the country chart with his debut single, “My Boy.”

While the moving take on step-fatherhood is several years old, Elvie and his co-writers knew from the very beginning it was special.

“From the day we wrote that song, we’ve called it a God song, and we felt like it was a gift,” Elvie tells ABC Audio. “And I like to say it was like four years before I wrote another song that anybody was interested in doing anything with. So there’s the proof in the pudding, right?”

Now that Caleb, the inspiration behind “My Boy,” is a teenager, Elvie says his stepson is just beginning to realize the significance of the song.

“He was only nine, ten when I wrote the song, so not much response out of him at that age, not really having a grasp on the emotion or what the song really meant,” Elvie reveals. “But I have seen that song grow with my son, and I’ve seen our love grow during the life of this song.”

He continues, “And I think, you know, at this point, he’s really realizing what a blessing this song has been and how much it’s done for our family and how much it’s, you know, doing for our family at this point in our lives.”

Elvie’s family continues to grow, as he and his wife, Mandi, welcomed a baby girl they named Zaelyn Journey in July. His full-length debut, titled Backslider, arrives October 29.

Hagar & the Circle’s “A Toast to Texas” tour will feature concerts on December 3 in Fort Worth, December 4 in San Antonio, December 6 in Austin and December 8 in Houston.

Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 22, while pre-sale tickets will be available starting October 20. Visit RedRocker.com for more information.

We’ll be back next summer with the big rock shows, this is a party we’re throwing just for Texas.”

Miley Cyrus says the more competition, the better.

In a new Rolling Stone Musicians on Musicians interview with country singer Mickey Guyton, the two open up about breaking down barriers in the industry and making space for others to do the same.

“I don’t even feel that it’s enough for me to be considered one of the best rock singers of this generation, because there’s not enough of them and I want more competition,” Miley tells Mickey. “And for you too, you don’t want to be the one female Black singer that they’ll allow in country music.”

“Not only do I want to share my light, but I love competition,” she adds. “I want other people that are like me around, so I know that I deserve my place because I’m fighting for it all the time. That’s the way I think. I have no desire to be the best, because I want to get better. And you don’t want to be the best because you’re the only.”

Miley has been teasing a new project recently, telling fans in a letter on MileyWorld.com that her post-Plastic Hearts era is inspired by “intense spurts of change” in her personal and professional life.

“I am so [excited] to channel these experiences + use them as inspiration in my next body of work!” she wrote. “I am so grateful to never go through these transitional times alone because I have [you]!”

Billy Idol has debuted an official lyric video for “Rita Hayworth,” one of the four brand-new songs featured on the pop-punk veteran’s recent released EP, The Roadside.

The clip, which you can watch now on Idol’s official YouTube channel, mixes grainy footage apparently taken from the car driving around the streets of Hollywood mixed with ominous cartoon animations depicting the song’s theme of a young woman navigating the seedy side of the movie business.

In the hard-driving tune, Idol sings about the woman being approached by “some nothin’ producer” who tells her she looks like Hollywood legend Rita Hayworth. “You’re swimming with Jaws/ This dream town will swallow you whole,” Billy belts out in the chorus. “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Idol co-wrote “Rita Hayworth” with his longtime lead guitarist Steve Stevens, along with songwriters Sam Hollander and Grant Michaels.

The Roadside was released on September 17, and also features songs titled “Bitter Taste,” “U Don’t Have to Kiss Me Like That” and “Baby Put Your Clothes Back On.”

The bulk of the EP was written, recorded and mixed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The record, which was produced by Butch Walker, is Idol’s first collection of new original songs since his 2014 album Kings & Queens of the Underground.

Idol currently is halfway through a four-date Las Vegas residency at The Cosmopolitan that will wrap up this week with shows on Friday and Saturday. Billy then will head to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, for an October 26 performance at the star-studded 80s in the Sand festival. Idol also has acoustic duo gigs with Stevens in four U.S. cities in late November and early December.

This Friday, Imagine Dragons will be playing an acoustic set at the Rise Up Gala in support of the Tyler Robinson Foundation, the pediatric cancer founded by the band. If you’re not in Las Vegas to attend the event, you can still watch the performance live online.

A livestream of the concert is set to premiere October 22 at 9:30 p.m. PT. You can watch via the Bandsintown Twitch channel.

Imagine Dragons first created TRF in 2013 in honor of Tyler Robinson, a fan who passed away from cancer at age 17. The organization has since been raising money for families who’ve been affected by a childhood cancer diagnosis. The annual Rise Up Gala is now in its seventh year.

Meanwhile, Imagine Dragons released a new album, Mercury — Act 1, in September. And just last Friday, the group unearthed a trio of EPs featuring some of their earliest recordings, including previously unreleased demos.

A long, long time ago — 50 years ago this Sunday, to be exact — Don McLean released his classic anthem “American Pie” and his studio album of the same name.  Now the singer/songwriter has announced initial dates for a 2022 U.S. tour that will commemorate the milestone anniversary.

The trek kicks off with a three-show engagement, January 28-30, at The Blue Note club in Honolulu, and currently is mapped out through a February 24 concert in Tucson, Arizona, with more dates expected to be announced soon.

Among the confirmed shows is scheduled on February 3 — the 63rd anniversary of “The Day the Music Died” — at the historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. The Surf Ballroom is, of course, the venue where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper performed on February 3, 1959, before perishing in a plane crash later that evening. The date of the tragic incident is now known as “The Day the Music Died,” and served as an inspiration for McLean to write “American Pie.”

Besides “American Pie,” fans at the tour shows can expect to hear McLean hits including as “Vincent (Starry Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air,” “And I Love You So” and his cover of Roy Orbison‘s “Cryin’,” as well as newer material.

Details of the U.S. tour follows Don’s recently announced plans for a 2022 European trek marking the 50th anniversary of “American Pie” that will run from September to November. Check out his full schedule at DonMcLean.com.

McLean also was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August.
