As he waits to head back out on tour with his All Starr Band in September, Ringo Starr has posted a video update at his YouTube channel in which he shares some news about an upcoming release he has planned.

In the clip, the former Beatles drummer starts by sending out his usual “peace and love” message to fans, explaining that he’s hanging out on a beautiful day.

Then, after noting that the tour will be picking up again in September after a bunch of June dates were postponed, he declares, “I have another EP out in September. It’s called EP 3. And so, September’s gonna be pretty busy, thank you.”

As previously announced, Ringo and the All Starr Band’s postponed shows were rescheduled to run right into their fall North American leg, which is mapped out through an October 19-20 stand in Mexico City.

As its title suggests, Starr’s upcoming EP with be the third EP he’s released in the last couple of years. The first, Zoom In, was issued in March 2021, while the second, Change the World, arrived in September of last year.

Meanwhile, the end of the update video features footage of Ringo having fun while briefly jamming out with Toto and All Starr Band guitarist Steve Lukather on a version of Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water,” with Ringo accompanying Steve on bongos.

After he stops playing, Starr comments, “Let’s do a version of that,” then declares, “Bongo boy!”

Lady A and Breland will take the spotlight when ABC’s CMA Fest TV special airs next week, performing a special duet version of the classic Lady A hit “Need You Now” from the mainstage.

Breland and the Lady A bandmates may come from different generations, but Lady A’s Charles Kelley says that makes collaborating with the younger star even more exciting.

“He told me he grew up on that song,” Charles says, talking about “Need You Now.” “And I really, truly think he’s one of the most talented artists, up and coming, that we have. And so anytime you can be part of that energy — you know, us doing this for 15 years now, we like to feed off that youthful energy and that excitement.”

They were excited to collaborate on a personal level, too. “We became buddies backstage, and I told him I was a fan,” Charles says.

One thing led to another, and they decided to write a song together. “We wrote a song and he asked if Lady A would feature on it,” Charles adds. “And while we were there, I was like, ‘Well, we’ve gotta do a song, you know, for the fans!’ And so we did ‘Need You Now.’”

Someone at CMA Fest got wind that they’d done a duet version of the Lady A classic and asked them to do it as part of the show, which took place in Nashville in June.

CMA Fest airs on ABC on August 3. Dierks Bentley and Elle King are co-hosting the show.

Måneskin‘s wild ride to stardom continues this weekend with the band’s first performance at Chicago’s Lollapalooza. Earlier this year, the Italian rockers made their debut at another U.S. festival institution: Coachella.

Speaking with ABC Audio, frontman Damiano David recalls Måneskin’s “crazy” experience at Coachella.

“Every year, the whole Coachella thing reaches Italy, ’cause it’s huge,” David shares. “We always watched through Instagram or Twitter or whatever, and we always dreamt of playing there.”

As thrilling as it was to be performing at Coachella, the Måneskin members were just as excited about the rest of the festival’s lineup.

“When we got to play there, it was super cool to know that, while you’re playing, on the other stage at the same time, Doja Cat is playing,” David says. “So you feel like you’re getting into … the major league of music.”

Måneskin will play Lollapalooza on Sunday, July 31. They’ll launch their debut North American headlining tour in October.

It’s been less than five months since Bryan Adams released Classic, a digital album stuffed with re-recordings of his greatest hits from the ’80s and ’90s — and part two is already on its way.

“Bryan is happy to announce ‘Classic Pt. II’ featuring 7 newly re-recorded favorites, is out digitally on Friday! Pre-save now!” Adams tweeted out on Thursday, sharing a link so fans can make sure the album arrives in their playlists at midnight.

Why is the “Summer of ’69” singer making these albums? Similar to pop supestar Taylor Swift‘s masters saga with her former label, Bryan is also fighting to reclaim the rights to his music.

In a March 2022 interview, he told Stereogum that Swift inspired him to re-record his old hits. Adams revealed that his former label, Universal Music Group, declined to hand over the rights to his catalog.

“She and I have been in a similar situation lately with our master recordings. My record company wasn’t interested in negotiating the return of my early masters, so I’ve done what she has done to re-record my early songs again,” he explained, adding that his Classic albums are coming out “thanks to Taylor.”

Swift invited Adams to sing with her during her Reputation Tour in 2019, and they performed “Summer of ’69” together. Bryan that hinted she made it even easier for him to think he could re-record his decades-old hits.

“I loved singing with Taylor,” he recalled, “In fact, I believe it’s the best version of the song since the original recording.”

Adams’ latest studio album of original material, So Happy It Hurts, was released this past March, one week after Classic.

Halsey revealed their favorite song of all time is “Gasoline” and their favorite country to tour is Brazil. The singer made these big revelations while previewing their af94 makeup line in a TikTok tutorial with Meredith Duxbury.

New hair, who’s this? ZAYN is not only growing out his hair, he also dyed it a blush pink. The “Pillowtalk” singer debuted his new look on Instagram. Fans are loving it!

Lizzo challenged her followers’ “pause game” when spilling tea on celebrities. She did the phone flip trend on TikTok, where she has to flash a picture of a person to answer a question, such as “collab u turned down.” Fans say Lizzo flipped her phone too fast because no one has made out her answers.

Britney Spears says she visited her first bar ever, according to her new Instagram Story. “So glad they took my rights away for 13 years to have a cocktail,” she sarcastically wrote. She said of her first bar experience that she felt “sophisticated,” and showed off her fancy drink and appetizer.

Lady Gaga has a new song — kind of. She teased her new lip line “Atomic Shake & Bake” on TikTok and recorded a weird jingle to go along with it about how everyone is baking pies, but her focus is on “lips, cheeks, eyes.”

Ed Sheeran revealed how the opening notes of his new song with Russ, “Are You Entertained,” were made, which is just him humming pitched up an octave. He shared the whole editing process in an Instagram video.

Seems like every celebrity is vacationing in Italy these days and Justin Timberlake is no different. People reports the “Mirrors” singer and wife Jessica Biel are splashing around in Sardinia.

Tory Lanez‘s lawyer is looking to push back the rapper’s upcoming trial date in the ongoing case with Megan Thee Stallion.

During a hearing on Thursday — at which Tory was a no-show — his lawyer requested that the start of the trial, set for September 14, be postponed, citing “potential conflicts” with another case in which Megan is involved.

Rolling Stone reporter Nancy Dillon provided the update on Twitter, adding the judge set another hearing to avoid making a “premature” decision. All parties are due back in court on August 12, when the judge will determine whether the conflicts have cleared up and the trial should be delayed.

Tory and Megan have been embroiled in a case regarding the shooting that injured her left foot. Megan claims Tory pulled the trigger, but he has maintained his innocence.

Three people were injured at Dua Lipa‘s Wednesday night concert in Toronto when someone in the crowd set off fireworks.

People reports the incident happened at Scotiabank Arena, where someone set off illegal firecrackers in the arena. The outlet spoke with a concertgoer, who described what happened.

“It was at the end, during her final song, and confetti was already out, so we thought it was part of the finale,” they recalled. “No one was fazed by it other than the people in the pit, [but it was] hella scary.”

The incident was also recorded by a fan filming from the pit. Dua sees the fireworks going off at the end of the walkway and seemingly looks at her backup dancers in confusion.

Three people were injured by the sparks and suffered “very minor injuries.” All were treated at the venue and did not require hospitalization, police say. In addition, the fireworks did not damage the venue.

The incident is under investigation. People must cross through a metal detector to get into the venue, which explicitly prohibits fireworks. It is unclear how the fireworks made it into the building.

Dua has not commented on the matter.
