While there was a recent pause in the good-natured online ribbing between Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds with her sweet reply to a thirst-trap photo of the Deadpool star, it appears the “break” is over.

In an Instagram Story, Blake had some fun with one of the stops of Ryan’s Deadpool & Wolverine worldwide press tour — the 2024 Waterbomb Festival in Seoul, South Korea, on Friday, which saw Reynolds and bestie co-star Hugh Jackman hosing down fans with water guns.

According to People, which caught the now-vanished weekend message, Blake posted video of the action, commenting, “When he tells you he’s going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break.”

She also joked their movie should be re-titled, “Boys Gone Wild: A Deadpool and Wolverine Story.”

For now, there doesn’t appear to be the usual cheeky response from Ryan — likely because he can’t disagree.

He said of the event, “Promoting a film is supposed to be WORK but Marvel’s paying for us to go on the greatest vacation of our lives. Someone is for sure getting fired over there. Probably [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige.”

He also called the event “The coolest, most charming mix of K-pop, water-fights, dancing and joy.”

The weekend promo blitz also saw Reynolds dress up in his Deadpool costume at a soccer match in Berlin, incidentally earning a reply from fellow Canadians Nickelback.

Deadpool & Wolverine comes to theaters July 26.

Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

Brad Pitt has the need for speed in breakneck teaser to racing drama ‘F1’

Warner Bros. Pictures

Warner Bros. and Apple Original Films has released the teaser to Brad Pitt‘s anticipated racing drama F1, and in it, the superstar is feeling the need for speed.

Most appropriate, as the film comes from Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, and its producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

The teaser’s only dialog comes at its open, from Pitt’s Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the circuit to head up a fictional racing team known as APXGP. “Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston, now McLaren: All have us beat on the straights. Our shot is battling in the turns,” he says.

He continues to Kerry Condon‘s character, “We need build our car for combat.”

“How am I supposed to make that safe?” she asks, incredulous.

“Who said anything about safe?” he replies.

And with that, the teaser hits the gas, set to Queen‘s epic “We Will Rock You.”

Just as the Top Gun filmmakers did securing military assistance with that Tom Cruise blockbuster, F1 was made in collaboration with “Formula 1 and the F1 community, including the 10 F1 teams and their drivers, [F1’s governing body] FIA and race promoters,” according to the producers.

The result: Realism. The teaser is stuffed with stunning racing footage — and as Cruise actually was in the cockpit, Pitt here is behind the wheel. The feature was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the fictional team “competed against the real-life titans of the sport,” the producers say.

Apart from the racing footage, we glimpse Damson Idris as Hayes’ flashy APXGP racing teammate; Condon’s character changing a tire in the pit; and Academy Award winner Javier Bardem alongside Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award nominee Tobias Menzies.

F1 races into theaters and IMAX on June 27, 2025.

Jon Landau, the affable Oscar winning producer of Titanic, and a decades-long collaborator with that landmark film’s director James Cameron, has died at 63.

Landau, who also worked with Cameron on the blockbuster Avatar franchise, as well as films produced by the filmmaker, including Robert RodriguezAlita: Battle Angel, died Friday, July 5.

In a statement to Deadline, Cameron said, “The Avatar family grieves the loss of our friend and leader, Jon Landau. His zany humor, personal magnetism, great generosity of spirit and fierce will have held the center of our Avatar universe for almost two decades.”

Cameron continued, “His legacy is not just the films he produced, but the personal example he set — indomitable, caring, inclusive, tireless, insightful and utterly unique. He produced great films, not by wielding power but by spreading warmth and the joy of making cinema. He inspired us all to be and to bring our best, every day. I have lost a dear friend, and my closest collaborator of 31 years.”

He concluded, “A part of myself has been torn away.”

Oscar winner Kate Winslet, who worked with Landau on both Titanic and the Avatar sequels, including The Way of Water, told the trade Landau was “the kindest and best of men … rich with compassion and exceptional at supporting and nurturing teams of phenomenal creative people.” She added, “His strength in life was knowing the importance of family, at home and at work.”

Another Avatar alumna, Zoe Saldaña, remembered Landau in an emotional Instagram post, saying, in part, “You are leaving us too soon … The memories we shared together will always hold a special place in my heart.” Saldaña added his “legacy will continue to inspire us,” and he “will be deeply missed.”

Did Netflix tease ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ in ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ fourquel?

Did Netflix tease ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ in ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ fourquel?
Netflix/Melinda Sue Gordon

In its latest straight-to-streaming big budget sequel, Netflix may just have teased an upcoming one.

In Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the fourth film in the franchise, Eddie Murphy‘s title character is aboard a stolen police helicopter being flown — badly — by Joseph Gordon Levitt‘s Detective Bobby Abbott when they crash-land onto a golf course.

The accident interrupts the game of an irate golfer — played by none other than Christopher McDonald, who Happy Gilmore fans know better as golf pro Shooter McGavin.

While McDonald is credited only as “Golfer” in the Beverly Hills Cop fourquel, logically anybody else could have played the part, so getting the veteran character actor back on the golf course had to be deliberate — especially because McDonald will appear in the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 Adam Sandler hit that’s bound for Netflix in 2025 or 2026.

Fans noticed it, too, with one expressing online, “Is Netflix building an old movie movie-verse? Why is Shooter McGavin in Beverly Hills Cop 4?”

Reality Roundup: ‘Bachelorette’ diversity, ‘Love Island USA’ drama and more

Have no fear, your reality roundup is here! Here’s a look at what happened in the world of reality television this week:

The Bachelorette (ABC)
Jenn Tran, the first-ever Asian American lead of The Bachelorette, starts her journey on Monday, and she recently revealed she was disappointed there were not more men who share her culture and background cast for her season. “I can’t really speak to the casting process and the decisions that were made, but it is unfortunate that there weren’t a lot of Asian men this season,” Tran told Glamour.

America’s Got Talent (NBC)
Heidi Klum was such a fan of 9-year-old America’s Got Talent contestant Pranysqa Mishra‘s performance of “River Deep — Mountain High” that she hit the Golden Buzzer. The young contestant also shared how her grandmother inspired her singing aspirations. “I want you to call your grandmother and say that Heidi Klum pushed the Golden Buzzer for you,” Klum told her. They called her together, and Mishra’s grandma broke into tears at the good news.

Love Island USA (Peacock)
Casa Amor has proved to be quite the test for Love Island USA contestant Aaron Evans. He’s been coupled up with Kaylor Martin since day one of the season, but a bombshell at Casa Amor seems to have caught his eye. In fact, fans of the show noticed Evans used the same flirty handshake he first did with Martin on the new Casa Amor islander, Daniela Ortiz Rivera, before telling her, “I already feel like I love you so much.” This sent fans reeling. “This is crazy,” a user on the social platform X wrote. “Like, I’m sick.”

ABC

In an interview with GQ, Joel McHale says the movie Community fans have been waiting for for years is finally going to happen — “vaguely next year.”

“I don’t have a definitive update because we thought for a moment it was going to all happen this year, and then it didn’t,” he told the magazine.

“But we have the money, and that is a huge step. And hopefully, people still want to see it. And Peacock’s paying for it. And so I can’t wait to do it.”

When? McHale added, “I’ll say vaguely next year. How about that?”

The in-demand actor and House of Villains host, who can be seen again in the third season of The Bear, also dispelled rumors it was co-star Donald Glover‘s schedule holding things up.

“If it’s anybody’s fault, it’s my schedule on this one. It’s not his at all. He was available.”

McHale and Glover starred with Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs on the beloved-but-ratings-challenged NBC series for five seasons, from 2009 to 2014

Created by Dan Harmon, Community was picked up for a sixth and final season on the now-defunct Yahoo! Screen streaming service, running in 2015.

Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water: Lego unveils a ‘Jaws’ set
Lego

On a most appropriate day, the Fourth of July — the holiday around which the classic film is set — Lego announced its brick tribute to Steven Spielberg‘s classic Jaws

To promote the 1,497-piece Lego set, the company has also dropped Jaws…in a Jiffy, a Lego animated version of the Oscar-winning film that made an entire generation afraid to go swimming.

The film wordlessly translates the movie’s plot in around 90 seconds: There’s a killer shark in the waters of Amity Island, and while the town’s mayor downplays the threat so as not to scare off the tourists, the town’s sheriff, Martin Brody, scientist Matt Hooper and salty sea captain Sam Quint — played respectively by Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw — go on the hunt.

The set features minifigure versions of all three characters, and of course the finned killer, as well as Quint’s boat, The Orca. The play set also comes with a tile featuring the famous quote about the vessel: “You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
