Jimmie Allen is crossing yet another career threshold with his first headlining tour.

The “Best Shot” hitmaker is set to embark on the 2022 Down Home Tour that runs from February through May. The 19-city trek kicks off on February 3 at the famed Troubadour in Los Angeles, and continues on to Las Vegas, Tulsa, The Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri, San Antonio, where he’ll perform at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, and more.

Jimmie says he was waiting for the right time to book his debut headlining tour and was intentional about not wanting to “rush it.”

“I wanted to make sure I was ready, my band was ready, so we could give the audience what they deserve every night – which is greatness. And I finally feel like my band and I are at a point where greatness is something we can achieve,” he explains. “To everyone that’s supported us so far on our journey, thank you. We look forward to seeing you and a bunch of our new friends on the Down Home Tour.”

Opening for the hit singer is duo Neon Union, the first act signed to Jimmie’s newly announced management and production company, JAB Entertainment.

News of Jimmie’s headlining tour comes weeks after he scored a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Tickets for the Down Home Tour go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Visit Jimmie’s website for a full list of dates.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirms Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil

With just weeks to go until the opening of the Marvel Studios co-production Spider-Man: No Way Home, studio head Kevin Feige may have confirmed a long-held rumor about the return of a hero.

“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil,” Feige told Cinemablend.

He added a slight disclaimer: “Where we see that…when we see that, remains to be seen.”

Daredevil was on Netflix for three seasons, ending in 2018. The show turned Cox into a fan favorite as blind lawyer Matt Murdock by day, and New York City vigilante Daredevil by night.

With Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker unmasked as Spider-Man and on the run in No Way Home, fans have been speculating he’s going to need a good lawyer, and who better than the Man Without Fear? Analyzing the trailer like the JFK Zapruder film, some feel they’ve even spotted him.

Cox has denied those mysterious forearms in the shot in question are his. However, he allowed, “I love the idea of…Matt as a lawyer advising Peter Parker. That’d be really, really cool.”

Whether Feige’s revelation is trying to get ahead of persistent leaks, or just red meat for fans of the red-suited hero remains to be seen.

Another persistent rumor states the Multiverse-shredding No Way Home will see previous Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield joining Tom Holland onscreen, to help him best the baddies from previous films who appear in No Way Home. In fact, a recent press screening was only 40 minutes long, reportedly to keep spoilers at bay.

Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts December 17 from Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.

Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC Audio.

Nearly three hundred separate lawsuits have been filed against Travis Scott and the promoters of the tragic Astroworld Festival, which resulted in 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries. Now a legal motion has been filed to consolidate all the lawsuit into one giant case.

Attorneys for the victims and the festival organizers filed a joint petition seeking to combine the cases, which represent 1,250 plaintiffs, into a one litigation before a single judge, Billboard reports.

The lawsuits accuse Scott, who headlined and organized the event on November 5 at Houston NRG Park, as well as promoters Live Nation and other companies involved in the festival, of criminal negligence in how they planned and conducted Astroworld.

The largest lawsuit is a $2 billion case on behalf of 282 clients.

David Lee Roth apparently won’t be jumping into retirement quite as early as he initially planned.

Back in October, the 67-year-old founding Van Halen frontman shocked fans when he announced that he’d retire after the five-show Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues that he’d recently scheduled for New Year’s Eve and early January 2022, but he’s now extended the engagement for four more performances.

The new concerts, which were added because of “popular demand,” are scheduled for January 14, 15, 21 and 22. Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 10, at 10 a.m. PT, while a Ticketmaster pre-sale begins on Tuesday, December 7, at 10 a.m. PT, and a Roth fan pre-sale starts on Wednesday.

The previously announced concerts for the “David Lee Roth Rocks Vegas” residency are scheduled for New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and January 5, 7 and 8.

Roth discussed his decision to add dates to the residency in a video message released on Monday that’s been transcribed by Blabbermouth.net.

“I had no idea how many of you wanted to pay to see me go,” the singer said with a laugh. “So I’m putting more tickets on sale, instead of doing the wrong thing and p***ing more people off.”

He added, “Just when I get out, they drag me back in…Look, I’m vulnerable. I feel sensitive. If I sound that way to you, I’m in the middle of my first retirement. And I’m gonna extend my world goodbye tour of Las Vegas at the House Of Blues for two more weekends — like any good f***ing barbecue. Just like you would, if you could.”

Variety honored the top 25 music acts of 2021 on Saturday, with Olivia RodrigoLil Nas XBTSBillie Eilish and others taking home high honors at its fifth annual Hitmakers Brunch.

Lil Nas X was crowned innovator of the year and reflected on how much his life has changed in 2021, noting that he went into the year worried if he would recapture the success of 2019’s “Old Town Road.”

“This year took a lot of mental strength for me just to even continue to keep pushing after my debut…reached such a high place so, so quickly.  And it’s very scary to try to follow up and keep it going,” he said while accepting his trophy. “I came out. I was myself. I did what I needed to do. I put effort into every single part of my career.”

Olivia, who was named songwriter of the year, spoke about the impact of her debut single, “drivers license,” which she says is “about this really hard time in my life.”  The Grammy nominee was touched by how it resonated with “people regardless of sexual orientation, or gender or age,” and said, “To me it’s a beautiful thing about art: How music can bring us all together and make us feel less alone.”

Billie, who accepted film song of the year alongside her brother, FINNEAS, for penning the Bond theme for No Time to Die, said it was “the most surreal song to be able to make.”

BTS virtually accepted their award for record of the year for their summer smash “Butter” and said they created their song to “share fun, positive energy with many people.”

Many of this year’s honorees later appeared in Lil Nas X’s hilarious TikTok video, which he shared Sunday.

Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff have lost out on an Album of the Year nomination for next year’s Grammys.

The pair had been credited as songwriters on Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut, SOUR, and thus would earn a Grammy trophy themselves should it win the 2022 Album of the Year award. However, an update from the Recording Academy shows that both Antonoff and St. Vincent have been removed as nominees.

Olivia had given Taylor and Jack writing credit on the SOUR song “deja vu” because it borrowed Taylor’s bridge from “Cruel Summer,” which the pop superstar had originally written with Bleachers frontman Antonoff. Taylor’s songwriting nomination for SOUR has been removed, as well.

While the duo won’t win a Grammy with SOUR, they are still Album of the Year nominees for evermore. Jack will also compete for the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.

The 2022 Grammys take place January 31.

“Knowing You”: Kenny Chesney tops the chart with 34th #1 hit

Kenny Chesney is carrying his nostalgic single, “Knowing You,” to the top of the charts.

The superstar has amassed his 34th #1 hit with the song as it reaches the pinnacle position on the country chart after a 37-week climb. It’s the latest single off his 2020 album, Here and Now, which debuted atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and all-genre Billboard 200.

“There is such a beautiful innocence to this song. I love the idea that what was great is what matters; the idea that what you felt that was so good — that’s the thing to hang on to,” Kenny says in a statement. “Wishing the other person well, hoping they’re out there spreading that same joy, feeling that same love wherever they may be? To me, that’s just beautiful.”

Kenny continues, “My hope, throughout the life of this single, has been for people to take this idea and embrace it, embrace that person they loved who’s gone and celebrate every small thing that was part of their relationship.”

The success of “Knowing You” follows that of the album’s title track, which reached #1 last year.

Kenny will embark on the 2022 Here and Now Tour with Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay and Old Dominion next spring, launching on April 23 in Tampa.
