Red Hot Chili PeppersUnlimited Love is the best-selling rock album in over a year.

The record debuts at number one on the Billboard 200 with a total of 97,500 equivalent album units, 82,500 of which were traditional album sales. The last rock artist to beat that figure was Beatles legend Paul McCartney, whose 2020 solo effort McCartney III moved 107,000 units — 104,000 of which were album sales — upon its chart debut in January 2021.

Surprisingly, Unlimited Love is only the second RHCP album to top the Billboard 200. The first was 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, which was notably the last album to feature guitarist John Frusciante before he left the Peppers in 2009. Unlimited Love marks the band’s first album with Frusciante back in the fold since he returned in late 2019.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will launch a global stadium tour in support of Unlimited Love beginning with a European run in June, followed by a U.S. leg kicking off in July.

Miley Cyrus‘ parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, are moving to end their nearly 30-year marriage, again.  This marks the third time the couple has filed for divorce.

TMZ reports Tish was the one who initiated the divorce, filing the necessary documents in Tennessee and requesting their assets be divided equally.  She has cited “irreconcilable differences” as cause for the separation.

In addition, the outlet states Billy Ray and Tish have stopped living together and have resided in separate homes for more than two years. This aligns with fans’ theories, as they noticed the two haven’t appeared together in Miley’s Instagram — even for family holiday photos — in recent months.  In addition, neither Tish nor Billy Ray have been seen together in public since 2020.

The former couple have twice before filed for divorce, with Billy Ray first pulling the plug in 2010 before reconciling.  Three years later, Tish filed for divorce in 2013 but the two again reconciled.

The former couple tied the knot in 1993 and share five children together.

Jada Pinkett Smith showed up to support friends Shonda Rhimes and Debbie Allen on the opening of the Rhimes Performing Arts Center over the weekend, marking the actress’ first public appearance since her husband, Will Smith, slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars over a joke Rock made about her.

The Red Table Talk host shared a picture of herself on Instagram on Sunday, wearing a glittery, gold strapless dress and congratulating Allen on her Debbie Allen Dance Academy, which will be housed in the performing arts center.

“@therealdebbieallen said wrap it all in gold and come let the kids fill your soul,” Jada captioned the image. “You are the legacy that so many other legacies will stand upon. Thank you for ALL that you do.”

In a follow-up post, Pinkett posed with both Allen and Rhimes and recognized the Bridgerton producer for “helping the dreams of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy become a reality.”

The new performing arts center, which is open to students eight and older and will teach them a variety of dance genres, is a two-story, 24,000 square foot complex that includes five dance studios and an aerial studio named after Will and Jada, according to Broadway World.

Saturday served as Jada’s first red carpet event since Will Smith was banned from the Motion Picture Academy for ten years for slapping Rock two weeks ago. The day after the incident, Smith posted an apology to his Instagram account, saying in part, “My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable.”

Smith later resigned from the Academy and, after learning of the consequences of his actions, including being banned from all future Academy events for ten years, including the Oscars, he said, “I accept and respect the Academy’s decision.”

Jessie James Decker tells her story of accidentally “harassing” Kelsea Ballerini after a CMT Awards show

Jessie James Decker is among the artists performing from the RAM Trucks Side Stage of the 2022 CMT Music Awards tonight, but it’s not her first time attending the ceremony: She’s got a hilarious story about a wine-fueled mishap that happened backstage during a previous CMT Awards.

That year, Jessie was at the show to present an award, and when she’d finished, she spent some time hanging out with her fellow country artists and enjoying the backstage bar.

“So I have a third glass of wine, and I’m feeling good. I ran into an artist named Clare Dunn,” Jessie recounts on a new episode of CMT’s I Probably Shouldn’t Tell You This series.

Jessie had long been a fan of Clare, so the two made plans to co-write and exchanged numbers. Then, later on that same evening, Jessie ran into Kelsea Ballerini.

“I said, ‘Hey, we should catch up and hang out.’ She was like, ‘You know what, take down my number and let’s get together soon,’” Jessie recalls.

The next morning, Jessie decided to firm up her plans with Clare, and texted her asking for song pitches, though she was a little surprised not to hear back until the end of the day. After several hours — and a few reminder texts — the songs finally came through, but Jessie was confused to see that all the songs had Kelsea’s voice on the demo.

That’s when things clicked: She’d gotten the numbers switched. “I was like, ‘OMG, I thought I was texting Clare Dunn.’ It was so fine — she just wrote a bunch of ‘ha-has’…I ended up saving their numbers correctly,” Jessie sums up.

Still, no CMT Awards will ever go by without Jessie remembering the one she spent “harassing Kelsea Ballerini,” the singer adds.

Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary plans will make fans “lose their f***ing minds”

Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary plans will make fans “lose their f***ing minds”
Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary plans will make fans “lose their f***ing minds”
Pedro Gomes/Redferns

Backstreet Boys just relaunched their DNA tour at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in on Friday, and they’ll play two more shows at the Las Vegas venue before continuing the tour in earnest on June 4 in Chula Vista, California. But the group is already thinking ahead to 2023, which is when they’ll be celebrating their — gasp! — 30th anniversary.

“We have some interesting tricks up our sleeve,” AJ McLean tells the U.K.’s Official Charts Company. “I’ll say this: If these things come to light, our fans are literally going to lose their f***ing minds.”

AJ declined to go into detail about the mind-blowing plans, but he did tease, “We have some really incredible things in the works that will probably take all the way up to our 30th to plan; there are lots of moving parts. We definitely have a couple of big, big, big things — probably the biggest we’ve done in years — planned. It’s gonna be awesome.”

He notes, “30’s a big one, so we have to do something massive.”

Before that happens, though, AJ says he’ll release a solo EP with “a couple of feature[d artists] on there that are more in the millennial world.” Later this year, Backstreet Boys will release a Christmas album and will reportedly do a holiday residency in Las Vegas.

AJ also points out that even though people think Harry Styles is pushing the boundaries of fashion by wearing nail polish, he’s “been doing it for 25 years,” and has his own nail polish line. What’s more, AJ says he was inspired to do it by someone several generations before him: Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler.
