It’s almost time to say goodbye to Atlanta.

FX announced in a brief teaser that the fourth and final season of the hit show, which brings the crew back to their home city, will premiere in September.

If it feels like a quick turnaround, that’s because season three ended in May. The final two seasons were shot back-to-back.

Donald Glover, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry and LaKeith Stanfield were featured in the short video, all standing in front of a liquor store surrounded by references to episodes from the first three seasons of the show – including everything from a hair salon stylist to Uncle Willy’s alligator.

Veteran folk-rock singer/songwriter and former Youngbloods frontman Jesse Colin Young has postponed the final three dates of his current U.S. tour leg after testing positive for COVID-19.

The affected shows had been scheduled for tonight in Santa Cruz, California; July 30 in San Juan Capistrano, California; and July 31 in Solana Beach, California.

In a message, Young’s wife and manager, Connie Darden Young, explains, “I am so sorry to report that Jesse has tested positive for Covid today. He will have to isolate now in Los Angeles forcing us to postpone the last three shows of the tour.”

She adds, “Jesse’s symptoms are mild and he is doing well and hopes to reschedule soon…Jesse regrets these postponements of his upcoming performances; but, his health is our number one concern. He is looking forward to seeing all of his fans very soon.”

Each venue will announce the rescheduled dates for the postponed concerts. Tickets that have already been purchased will be honored for the new dates.

Young, who celebrated his 80th birthday this past November, has one other confirmed concert on his schedule: A September 30 show in Lincoln, California.

(UVALDE, Texas) — The Uvalde, Texas, school board has canceled its special session on Saturday that was to have considered the recommendation to fire Police Chief Pete Arredondo for cause following widespread criticism of how he handled the response to the May school shooting.

The school board sent an update Friday that the meeting to consider Arredondo’s termination will be held at a later date “in conformity with due process requirements, and at the request of his attorney.” The meeting has yet to be rescheduled.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District has recommended Arredondo be fired.

Arredondo is currently on leave while an investigation into the conduct of law enforcement at the shooting on May 24 takes place. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed in one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history. Arredondo will remain on unpaid leave at this time, the school district said Friday.

Saturday’s meeting would have been a closed session, but, legally, a determination to fire him would have to be publicly announced.

Despite the Uvalde school district’s active shooter plan calling for its police chief to assume command in the event of a shooting, Arredondo allegedly failed to take on the role of incident commander or transfer the responsibility to another officer on scene during the May 24 attack, according to a report issued this week by a joint committee of the Texas Legislature.

“The Uvalde CISD’s written active shooter plan directed its police chief to assume command and control the response to an active shooter,” according to the report.

Last month, Arredondo told The Texas Tribune he did not consider himself the commanding officer on the scene.

He also said that no one told him about the 911 calls that came in from students who were still alive in the classrooms during the 77 minutes before law enforcement breached a classroom door and killed the 18-year-old gunman.

“We responded to the information that we had and had to adjust to whatever we faced,” Arredondo said. “Our objective was to save as many lives as we could, and the extraction of the students from the classrooms by all that were involved saved over 500 of our Uvalde students and teachers before we gained access to the shooter and eliminated the threat.”

At an open forum hosted by the Uvalde school board Monday, parents and community members called on officials to fire Arredondo immediately, with some also calling for the firing of other members of Uvalde’s school district police force who were present during the shooting.

Jamie Lee Curtis doubts the Marvel Cinematic Universe will want to add her to their ranks anytime soon.

While promoting her film Everything Everywhere All at Once back in May, the actress poked fun at the other universe-spanning movie that was released around the same time, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

She called out the MCU directly in an Instagram post, writing that her film “out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there.”

“Is this one of those Internet feuds? All I’ll say is we would SLAY in a Family Feud contest with the Doctor Strange strangers,” she continued.

Now, in a recent interview with People magazine, Curtis explains exactly why she poked fun at the Marvel flick, saying, “I have nothing against Marvel as an entity. I’ve seen a lot of Marvel movies.”

Everything Everywhere All at Once was a little movie that could…we were able to tell a multiverse story that really touched people,” Curtis said. “It doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie in order to be a spectacle and to really move you.”

So, after all has been said and done, would she ever consider acting in a Marvel movie?

“If the role was interesting and if I could bring what I do to it, of course I would,” she said, before clarifying, “But, I would find it hard to imagine that Marvel’s going to figure out something to do with a 64-year-old woman.”

Everything Everywhere All at Once is A24’s highest-grossing film of all time. An extended cut of the film will be re-released in theaters on July 29.

Disney is the parent company of Marvel and ABC News.

Malti is six months old, and no one is more excited than her proud parents, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.

The Quantico actress split the honor of her 40th birthday with her bundle of joy in a new Instagram post, where Malti is sporting a onesie that declares “6 months.”

“Just a girl and her birthday squad!” Priyanka wrote. “So grateful and thankful to be surrounded by so much love and to be able to spend time with my nearest and dearest. (Even though a lot of them flew in from very far).”

She continued, “The most incredible celebrations, planned and executed to perfection by my [love] @nickjonas. Words are not enough to thank you for the most memorable birthday… you really know how to love baby. I’m a lucky girl.”

“I’m so touched by all the birthday love I’ve received this year,” the actress added. “The lovely DMs, surprises, calls, texts, and big hugs made the day even brighter and made me feel truly special. Thank you everyone who reached out, it means the world. Here’s to the beginning of the rest of my life.”

While Priyanka shared a handful of photos from her own birthday celebrations in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the standout snap is second in the carousel of photos, which shows Malti celebrating her six-month birthday.

Malti is wearing a little pink tutu and has a white headband with a bow on it as she is held in her mother’s arms. Meanwhile, Nick is holding up a small birthday cake along with the note, “Happy 6 months B-day MM.”

As previously reported, Nick and Priyanka spoke openly about Malti spending “100 plus days in the NICU” shortly after birth but didn’t explain what caused her health scare.

Fans were treated to the extended trailer of the Lord of the Rings prequel series, The Rings of Power, Friday at San Diego Comic-Con.

The trailer was shown at a panel hosted by J. R. R. Tolkien superfan Stephen Colbert, who got the massive ensemble cast and crew to spill details about the long-anticipated new series in front of almost 7,000 fans.

According to Entertainment Tonight, showrunner Patrick McKay said that he plans for the series to follow a “50-hour story,” teasing the potential for at least five seasons of the fantasy epic.

The new saga is a “human story” that poses the question “how far in the darkness would you go to protect the ones you love?” showrunner J. D. Payne shared at the panel.

The three-minute extended trailer shows off that darkness, as well as the cast of new characters, as antagonist Sauron lurks in the shadows.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premieres September 2 on Prime Video.

Pentatonix teamed with Diane Warren and Jon Batiste  for “Sweet.” Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix said in a statement, “We were so honored to collaborate with such musical titans… hey’ve brought the world so much love and joy in their music. We hope the people feel like dancin’ and prancin’ when they listen to ‘Sweet’!”

Goo Goo Dolls dropped “You Are The Answer,” the second single to be released off their Chaos In Bloom album. The ballad highlights the love one has for their significant other in times of hardship and is reminiscent of a choir song with its soulful elements. The song follows their previously released “Yeah, I Like You.” Chaos In Bloom arrives August 12.

The Weeknd released a remix of “How Do I Make You Love Me” with Sebastian Ingrosso and Salvatore Gannaci. The remix takes the song in a funk-inspired direction. If you’re a fan of the original version, The Weeknd dropped the official music video, which is 2D animated. Just a word of warning, this visual goes heavy with horror themes.

Ed Sheeran teamed with Russ for the new song “Are You Entertained” and also starred in its music video. The song is about reaching for the top and realizing what’s important to them. For Ed, he realized he needs to put his family — and more importantly, himself — first in his quest to turn his dreams into a reality.

It’s Friday! Let’s see who’s out with new tunes…

The Chainsmokers released the official lyric video for “Time Bomb,” a song they say “is prettying banging.”  Not only that, they’re already teasing their fifth studio album and promised fans on Twitter that it’ll “100%” have more collabs.

The Weeknd released a remix of “How Do I Make You Love Me” with Sebastian Ingrosso and Salvatore Gannaci. Not only that, he released the official music video for the original mix, which is 2D animated and goes ham with horror elements.

Macklemore is back, and he teamed with “Dance Monkey” singer Tones and I for “Chant.” He also released the official music video for the uplifting, self-love anthem. The song is about overcoming his addiction struggles.

Beyoncé released two new remixes of “Break My Soul” — an a capella version so fans can enjoy her soaring vocals and also an instrumental version.

Ed Sheeran teamed with Russ for the new song “Are You Entertained” and also starred in its music video. The song is about reaching for the top and realizing what’s important to them.

Mike Posner joined forces with Masked Wolf for “Madhouse.” The song offers a thrumming bass, electro-infused beats and a dark sonic undertone and is about knowing you’re untouchable.
