Alice Cooper‘s Tuesday concert in Loveland, Colorado featured a surprise reunion with Nita Strauss.

According to Louder, Strauss, who had just played nearby Denver with Demi Lovato on Monday, joined the shock rocker for a rendition of the classic “School’s Out.” Following the show, Strauss tweeted, “I had the best time! Thanks for the warm welcome.”

Strauss played guitar in Cooper’s touring band from 2014 to this year, when she announced she wouldn’t be joining the group on their fall tour. She then revealed she’d joined Lovato’s live band to tour the pop star’s new, rock-driven album, Holy F***.

Since sharing the news of her new gig, Strauss has suggested that her departure from Cooper’s band may not be permanent.

“There’s no shutting of a door and changing of the guard,” Strauss told Louder. “It’s just I’m taking a step back a little bit.”

Wynonna Judd is currently in the midst of The Judds’ farewell tour, a trek that she originally planned with her mom and duet partner, Naomi Judd.

But things changed after they announced the string of dates. Naomi died by suicide on April 30 at the age of 76 after a lifelong battle with mental illness. Wynonna ultimately decided to go ahead with the tour, albeit reconfigured as an all-star girls’ night with a rotating cast of guest performers, including Trisha Yearwood, Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBryde and others.

Though stepping out onstage without Naomi is a difficult and emotional experience, Wynonna says that the tour is a chance for both her and the audience to close a chapter of the legendary mother-daughter duo’s career.

“This is my opportunity to step into a situation that I don’t know that I am ready to do what I’m about to do, but I think it’s going to heal me,” the singer tells People.

She hopes that it’ll be a similarly cathartic experience for the concertgoers, many of whom have been fans of the Judds for decades and are also grieving Naomi’s death.

“I’m teaching what I want to learn, which is how to have peace and joy in a really negative [time],” Wynonna continues. “I want people to know that they’re loved. I want people to know that there is hope.”

The Judds Final Tour continues through this month. Martina McBride, who was named as the opening act on the original billing, will continue to perform all the dates.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama announced Wednesday a star-studded list of guest moderators who will join her on her upcoming book tour in support of The Light we Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.

The tour kicks off in Washington, D.C on November 15-17 with Ellen Degeneres moderating the first two nights. As the trek continues in major cities across the U.S. throughout the month of December, Mrs. Obama’s guests include Gayle King in Philadelphia, Tyler Perry for two nights in Atlanta and Tracee Ellis Ross in San Francisco. The final stop in Los Angeles will feature Oprah Winfrey.

“For me, The Light We Carry book tour will be about starting important conversations and digging deeper into the questions that all of us are grappling with as we live through uncertain times,” Mrs. Obama said. “I can’t wait to get back on the road and dive into it with such a thoughtful, impressive group of moderators.”

The book — which releases globally on tour kick-off day, November 15 — features a series of fresh stories and reflections on change, challenge and power. It includes Mrs. Obama’s belief that “when we light up for others we can illuminate the richness and potential of the world around us, discovering deeper truths and new pathways for progress.”

If you ask the average Harry Styles fan, chances are they’ll say seeing him in concert is much better than going to work or school. Well, one young fan took it a step further: she skipped daycare to see him live.

Harry had an aww-worthy exchange with his little fan, who is named Camila. TikTok user @strawberriesandstyles shared an adorable video of Camila holding up a sign that read, “Skipped daycare to be here.” The hitmaker took notice of the banner and the young child who was happily holding it.

Harry’s face lit up as he waved to her and asked while flashing a thumbs up, “Are you having a good time?” He appeared genuinely delighted when Camila said yes.

“Look at that tiny face,” he gushed and continued to chat with his special guest. He asked her name and told her, “We hope you’re having a good time tonight. I hope you’re enjoying the show.”

Harry then found out that this was Camila’s first concert, which made him even more ecstatic. “First concert. Get it. Let’s go,” he celebrated with a fist pump. He told the crowd to make noise for his young fan and declared, “Much better than daycare!”

Harry just wrapped a limited residency at Moody Center in Austin, Texas as part of his Love On Tour run. He now heads to Chicago’s United Center for another slew of dates, running from October 6 to October 15.

The musical comedy Pitch Perfect turns 10 years old Wednesday, and to celebrate, Peacock released the teaser to its spinoff series, Bumper in Berlin.

Pitch Perfect series star Adam Devine introduces the teaser in character as Bumper Allen and proceeds to cover, a cappella style, the mash-up “Take On Me X 99 Luftballoons,” harmonizing with multiple versions of himself.

The streaming service teases the series “brings all the catchy music, laughter and friendship from the franchise and more as we follow Bumper’s quest from a capella amateur into bona fide superstar.”

As previously reported, Modern Family vet Sarah Hyland and She-Hulk star Jameela Jamil also star in the series, which sees Bumper re-teaming with Flula Borg‘s Piëter Krämer when one of Bumper’s songs goes big in Germany.

Hyland will play Heidi, their assistant, who “secretly harbors dreams of being a singer-songwriter herself, and moonlights by performing original songs in a Berlin cabaret.”

Jamil takes on the role of Gisela, “Piëter’s ex-girlfriend and Bumper’s main rival,” who is “a bombastic and flashy up-and-coming German pop star[who] will stop at nothing to beat him to stardom.”

Lera Abova will play Anna, Piëter’s “cool Berlin DJ sister.”

Workaholics vet Devine and Elizabeth Banks, the latter of whom directed Pitch Perfect 3, will executive produce the small-screen bow.

Originally starring Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, Banks and Anna Camp, with Devine and Borg in supporting roles, the three Pitch Perfect movies have made more than $600 million worldwide.

All episodes of Bumper in Berlin premiere on Peacock November 23.

Oliver Sim: The xx will “definitely” release new music

Rick Kern/WireImage

The xx hasn’t released a new album in over five years, but according to bassist/vocalist Oliver Sim, that streak won’t last forever.

Speaking with Consequence’s Kyle Meredith with… podcast, Sim declares that the “Crystalised” trio “definitely” plans to continue putting out new material.

“The xx will always be my home and will always be my priority,” Sim says. “Normally I wouldn’t speak for [bandmates] Romy [Madley Croft] and Jamie [xx], but I know they feel the same.”

Sim just dropped his debut solo album, Hideous Bastard, last month, and he’s “excited’ to see how that, as well as Croft and Jamie’s own solo material, will impact the direction of The xx’s music going forward.

“How is this gonna change the band?” Sim wonders. “What have we all learned independently?”

Before you start getting too excited, Sim notes that “nothing is recorded at the moment,” but does confirm that “There is more music from The xx, definitely.”

Nickelback looks back at “Those Days” with new Get Rollin’ song

BMG

Nickelback has shared a new song from their upcoming album, Get Rollin’.

The track is called “Those Days,” but we’d guess that its working title was “Photograph Pt. 2” given how both songs are about looking back at your youth.

“Those Days” includes the lyrics, “Remember when they played ‘Purple Rain’ to our first slow dance” and “Remember Guns N’ Roses came out we were standing in line.” Sadly, there’s no update on Joey or whatever the hell was on his head.

You can listen to “Those Days” now via digital outlets. It’s also accompanied by a lyric video full of references to Star WarsTop Gun and other retro movies, streaming now on YouTube.

Get Rollin’, the 10th Nickelback album and follow-up to 2017’s No Fixed Address, is due out November 18. It also includes the previously released single “San Quentin.”

How is Rihanna feeling about becoming the newest Super Bowl halftime performer? She finally broke her silence but made it clear she’s keeping her cards close.

TMZ ambushed the star in Los Angeles after she was done shopping to ask about the big game. Rihanna called the pap “sneaky” for waiting for her outside the store, but that didn’t stop her from throwing a few bones.

“I’m nervous,” she revealed through a dramatic whine when asked how she feels about taking on football’s biggest stage. She then quickly deadpanned, “But I’m excited.”

The pap didn’t let up and continued peppering Rihanna with NFL-centered questions, namely who will be accompanying her on the halftime show.

At the moment, no one has been announced as the singer’s co-headliner; there are some reports Rihanna will do the event solo — as Lady Gaga did in 2017.

The paparazzi threw out a few potential guests to Rihanna, such as A$AP Rocky, but she declined to answer. Instead, Rihanna threw up a peace sign and continued walking to her car. The hitmaker did call out a polite “Thank you, girl” before climbing into the vehicle.

The Super Bowl halftime show will mark Rihanna’s return to music after an extended, six-year absence. The singer last released the album Anti and its supporting tour back in 2016.

Carly Pearce shares the voicemail she got from Loretta Lynn about her song “Dear Miss Loretta”

ABC/Connie Chornuk

When Carly Pearce stepped onstage at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night, her performance was extra meaningful and emotional: Loretta Lynn’s death had been announced just that morning.

Fans in the crowd might’ve guessed that Carly would perform “Dear Miss Loretta,” a tribute to the country legend that she included on 29: Written in Stone in September 2021, and she did — but that’s not all.

While she was onstage, Carly explained that after she released “Dear Miss Loretta,” she got a voicemail response about the song from Loretta herself. Then, she proceeded to pull out her cell phone and play the message for the crowd.

True to Loretta’s deadpan, forthright personality, the voicemail contained plenty of humor. “I’m layin’ here in bed, just taking it easy. I’m fixin’ to get up and wash my face maybe, comb my hair….I haven’t got no place to go, have I?!” the message opens.

But Loretta’s words quickly become more heartfelt. “I love your song. Thank you, sweetheart. I love you, honey,” she continues. “Come and see me sometime.”

As she played the voicemail, Carly turned to the crowd with tears in her eyes. “I’ve listened to that message a lot today, and if that doesn’t capture the purest form and the essence of her beautiful soul, I don’t know what else does,” she said before launching into her performance of “Dear Miss Loretta.”

Loretta Lynn died on Tuesday, October 4 at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She was 90.
