Paramore has issued a statement following the alleged assault of crowd members who attended their concert in Magna, Utah on Tuesday.

“A man physically and verbally assaulted multiple women, including an engaged couple at our show,” Paramore writes in an Instagram post. “Our security team and venue staff were made aware and were able to restrain and remove him.”

“We did not realize this was happening, as the incident took place out of view from stage,” the statement continues. “Had we seen any of this happening, we would have stopped the show until the situation was under control.”

Paramore also apologizes to “the fans who were hurt by or who witnessed what happened” while adding that the group “DOES NOT CONDONE violence, homophobia, or bigotry of any kind.”

“It is supremely unwelcome in our community and has no place at our shows,” Paramore writes.

The statement concludes, “To make things as clear as possible: Paramore shows are meant to be a safe place for people. If you can’t respect that, do not come.”

The Utah show was the second date on Paramore’s ongoing comeback tour, which marks their first live show in four years. Last week, Hayley Williams and company dropped “This Is Why,” their first new song in five years. It is the title track off their next album, which is due out February 10, 2023.

It’s been about a week since Hailey Bieber broke her silence on the accusations she stole husband Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez.

To recap, Hailey told the Call Her Daddy podcast, “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it.” She also said Justin’s decision to move on from Selena and be with her was the “most healthy, mature decision he could have made.”

While Justin hasn’t spoken out directly about what his wife said, sources have told Us Weekly how the hitmaker is taking the news. “[Justin’s] proud of Hailey for being herself and thought the whole interview was super cool,” an insider spilled.

The spy also shed some light on why Hailey came forward. “Hailey felt she needed to address that elephant in the room and clear the air with regards to how she and Justin got together, now she’s moved on and doesn’t want to address it,” they shared.

The insider adds Hailey “means no harm to Selena” but that she came forward “to let it be known that she’s had some horrible abuse and it wasn’t okay to treat her that way and nor will it ever be.”

Selena reacted in horror upon hearing her so-called fans were harassing Hailey and went Live on TikTok to call out the “vile and disgusting” behavior. She also called for fans to be kind and understand that “words matter.”

Selena and Justin famously dated off and on for several years before separating for good in 2018. A small but vocal group of fans still believe the two — whom they dub “Jelena” — are meant to be and have continued to attack Hailey for marrying him.

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson celebrates 75th birthday

Here’s wishing a very happy 75th birthday to longtime AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, who was born October 5, 1947.

The gravel-voiced vocalist, who hails from Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K., served as the lead singer of the Newcastle-based glam-rock outfit Geordie throughout most of the 1970s before AC/DC hired him to replace Bon Scott, who died in February 1980 at age 33 from “acute alcohol poisoning.”

AC/DC were already a hugely popular band, but Johnson’s first album with the Australian rockers, 1980’s Back in Black, made them superstars. Brian co-wrote the album’s songs with guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young, including such classics as the title track, “Hells Bells” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.”

Back in Black peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell over 25 million copies in the U.S., making it the best-selling hard-rock record ever in the States.

Johnson continued to co-write AC/DC’s songs with the Young brothers through 1988’s Blow Up Your Video album.

Brian’s long tenure as AC/DC’s frontman was sidetracked in 2016 during the band’s Rock or Bust tour, when he had to stop performing live immediately because of hearing issues. Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose was brought on to finish the trek.

Johnson rejoined AC/DC in 2020 for the recording of the band’s latest album, the chart-topping Power Up.

His most recent performance took place on September 3 during the star-studded London tribute concert for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Brian performed two AC/DC songs, “Back in Black” and “Let There Be Rock,” while backed by Foo Fighters and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.

Johnson will release a new memoir titled The Lives of Brian on October 25.

On Tuesday, ABC News obtained a countersuit that Angelina Jolie filed, accusing her ex-husband Brad Pitt of physically abusing her and two of their children during a flight aboard a private plane flight.

A source close to Pitt is now firing back, denying the allegations. “She continues to rehash, revise and reimagine her description of an event that happened six years ago by adding completely untrue information each time she fails to get what she wants,” the source said of Jolie. “Her story is constantly evolving.”

The source continued, “She had the opportunity to share information with law enforcement who made the decision not to press charges following their investigation. She had the chance to share this during the lengthy custody trial, which resulted in the judge granting 50-50 custody to Pitt following in-depth observations and analysis by doctors, therapists and other experts. Her and her team go back to the same thing month after month with new and false information.”

The abuse accusations were part of a counterclaim to Pitt’s February lawsuit against Jolie that alleged she sold their French estate and winery Château Miraval without his consent.

According to the lawsuit, Pitt called Jolie’s sale to a third party “unlawful.”

The cross-complaint, however, states Jolie’s attorneys claimed she and Pitt closed the transaction of Miraval without any agreement on how they could both sell their interests in the property.

In June 2020, Jolie began negotiating with Pitt on a potential sale of her interest in the winery, but when she submitted a sealed document titled “Offer of Proof and Authority re Testimony Regarding Domestic Violence” during the couple’s child custody case the following year, Pitt’s team notified Jolie’s that he would be “stepping back” from the Miraval deal, according to Jolie’s cross-complaint.

As he continues to recover from a tour bus crash that occurred last weekend, Hardy is canceling two shows in the upcoming couple of weeks: one in Columbus, Ohio and one scheduled performance in Arlington, Texas as an opening act for Morgan Wallen’s first-ever stadium show.

“I’m very sorry, but it’s just what I need to do right now,” the singer said in a video message on Instagram. He added that Ernest will take his place at the Texas show, and the Columbus show will be rescheduled to July 1, 2023.

“I love you guys. Thank you for all the love and support,” Hardy went on to say. He also requested continued prayers for the other people involved in the crash, especially his bus driver Ricky, who “is not in the clear yet.”

“He really needs it, and he got a good report tonight, but he needs all the love and all the prayers that he can get,” Hardy said.

Morgan also shared the update in his Instagram Stories, noting that he’s sad to remove Hardy — who is his close friend — from the bill of the marquee show.

“Hardy, man, I think you know how bad I wanted you to be a part of my first stadium show,” the singer said. “But way more important than that, I’m just glad you’re alive….please keep Hardy and his crew, and Ricky specifically, in your prayers.”

There’s certainly plenty of drama between many of the rap girls these days, but one duo that’s spreading the love is Lil‘ Kim and Cardi B

Appearing on a special reboot episode of Rap City, which aired ahead of the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night, Kim gushed about her fellow New York rapper, providing details about their close relationship.

“There’s rumors you did something with Cardi,” inquired Rap City host Big Tigger. “When are we getting that Cardi song?”

The rap legend didn’t quite answer the question but was excited to talk about their friendship.

“Cardi is like the love of my life,” she said with a smile. “Y’all don’t even know — she makes me laugh.”

Kim added of their relationship, “We talk a lot, people have no idea. She’s my little sister but she’s really my big, little sister.”

The rap legend said Cardi often offers advice and “directs” her on certain industry moves. “We just laugh a lot,” Kim continued.

Though there was no confirmation about an upcoming collaboration track, the rappers were recently spotted in the studio together, as seen in a video clip shared by The Neighborhood Talk.

In a series of Twitter posts last December, Cardi went to bat for Lil’ Kim, defending the “Crush on You” rapper against cyberbullying.

“I know how much it hurts to constantly get picked on,” Cardi wrote, adding that, “When I collab wit her is going to be at the right time & the right song. I don’t rush BIG MOMENTS!.”

As far as the hip-hop world is concerned, hopefully, that “right song” is on its way soon.

Ellie Goulding says she isn’t offended when people forget she’s a songwriter.

The British pop star spoke with BBC about winning the President’s Award at this week’s BMI Awards, which goes to songwriters, music publishers and composers. “I think people forget that I write my own music, and it just feels good,” she expressed, adding this is the first time she’s been recognized as a songwriter.

“When you’re writing songs close to your heart and you’re putting them out there, that’s all you can really do, and then everything else is a bonus,” Ellie said, adding, “It’s hard work writing songs – especially pop songs, that takes a different kind of dedication.”

Ellie, who’s been writing songs since she was a teenager, explained there are certain “formulas” to follow when writing pop. “There’s things not to say, there’s things to say. And so it’s a real art form,” she said.

“I’m so lucky that I get to do it as my as my job because I love it so much,” she continued. “I’ve been writing pop songs since I was a teenager. And so to be recognised by songwriting for the first time, it’s very cool.”

Ellie’s life has changed dramatically since she burst into the U.K. music scene back in 2009 with her debut single “Under the Sheets.” She saw international success two years later with “Lights.”

Ellie says the “whole climate of music” has changed since she first stepped into the limelight and credits social media for moving the needle.

“I quite enjoy the challenges, what you have to do as an artist now isn’t easy — it’s something you have to work at,” she explained. The hitmaker added, “I’m on TikTok, I’m on socials, I put myself out there and I actually enjoy it. I don’t mind having fun.”
