For George Strait,Codigo 1530 Tequila isn’t just a drink, it’s an experience.
Now a partner of the private brand, George’s friends introduced him to Codigo more than a decade ago during a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He became an instant fan, as Codigo helped to expand his palate.
“I drank a little bit of tequila, but, when I did, it would go into a shot and I tried to get the taste out of my mouth as fast as I could with some lime and salt,” George describes of his previous tequila drinking habits.”[Codigo] was like a new thing for me. A drink that wasn’t like the typical tequila that I’ve ever tasted. It’s definitely my drink of choice now.”
When it comes to tequila-based drinks, he’s not a fan of sweet margaritas, but does enjoy a paloma. But for the country superstar, nothing beats a glass of straight Añejo tequila on the rocks.
Though he keeps drinking to a minimal at his live shows, George will bust out a bottle of tequila for celebratory moments backstage with his band and crew.
“For years, it’s kind of been a tradition for me and the band, after the show before we go back out for an encore, we’ll celebrate with a shot of tequila and then we’ll go back out for the encore,” he explains.
Codigo is so good that George wrote a song about it in 2018.
Diddy is attempting to clear his name of long-running allegations that he’s stolen from his artists over the years.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, he spoke candidly about his business relations with his artists and denies claims that he owes any of them money.
“There has been negative propaganda put out about me that’s not true,” he said. “And has really stained — tried to stain — my legacy.”
In part of a lengthy answer to the question on many people’s mind, Diddy said, “If you think that I’m a scumbag that would ever steal anything — my name is Diddy.” He added, “I never took nothing from nobody a day in my life. All I’ve ever given is opportunity…”
“So, you’re saying you don’t steal from artists?” CharlamagneThaGod reiterates. “Never, never,” Diddy responded.
Referring to Ma$e, one the most notable artists who’s called the producer out, Diddy said, “First of all, I didn’t do nothing to him.”
“I did one album with Ma$e, how much money do you think I owe this guy?” continued the New York entertainer, who seemed annoyed at discussing the issues between he and the former Bad Boy rapper. He then took jabs at Ma$e, calling him a “fake pastor.”
“And [he] went and conned people,” Diddy continued. “And y’all gone let him throw dirt on the God’s name?”
After asserting that he’ll organize some sort of meeting with any artist who’s willing, Diddy said that Ma$e owes him $3 million.
“That’s facts, I got the receipts,” he said.
He added he’s done being quiet about the issue: “I’m back outside and I’m fighting back for us. And I’m also doing some fighting back for me,” he expressed.

Last week, Steve Perryposted a message on social media teasing his plans to release new Christmas music soon. Now, the ex-Journey singer has shared a TikTok video featuring him singing a bit of what appears to be a new original holiday tune called “Maybe This Year.”
“Hello, everyone. I’m Steve Perry, and this is my recording studio,” Perry says in the clip. He continues, “And these are my holiday lights, and these are my holiday assistants,” showing Christmas lights, a teddy bear, a plush Santa doll and another children’s toy decorating some of his recording equipment.
Steve then says, “And I’m only wishing one thing for each and every one of us, from the bottom of my heart, I swear” and proceeds to croon, “Maybe this year we can try holding on to our love.” He adds, “Maybe this year, you know?”
On September 26, Perry posted a drawing on his social media pages of a grinning, crazed-looking depiction of himself wearing a Santa Claus hat. The caption read in part, “Maybe This Year one NEW SP original Holiday song, plus one more, could be coming!”
Perry’s most recent solo album is the holiday collection The Season, which was released in 2021.

(WASHINGTON) — President Joe Biden and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared side-by-side in hard-hit Fort Myers on Wednesday as the president surveyed damage from Hurricane Ian.
The two leaders, often political opponents, have momentarily put politics aside to respond to the historic storm, which is shaping up to be one of Florida’s deadliest and costliest in decades. Making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, Ian leveled the coast, knocking out power to millions. At least 100 people died.
DeSantis and his wife, Casey DeSantis, greeted Biden and first lady Jill Biden upon their arrival at Fisherman’s Wharf for an operational briefing. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, Republican Sens. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, and other local officials were also at the site.
“Mr. President, welcome to Florida,” DeSantis said, making remarks first. “We appreciate working together across various levels of government.”
Biden spoke with local residents affected by the storm, offering handshakes and hugs as he toured damage at the marina’s. The area was filled with debris, fallen trees, downed electric lines and boats and yachts tossed into piles.
Earlier in the day, the Bidens took an aerial tour to get a wider look at the storm’s devastation before meeting with the governor.
“I’m sure it’s much worse from the ground,” Biden said. “But you can see a whole hell of a lot of damage from the air.”
Biden touted his administration’s response so far and emphasized the federal government’s ongoing commitment to the people of Florida as they recover and rebuild, which he said will take years.
“We’re not leaving till this gets done. I promise you that,” Biden said.
Ahead of the visit, the White House said Biden would announce he is doubling the length of time the federal government will cover all the costs associated with search and rescue, debris removal, sheltering and other emergency measures from 30 days to 60 days.
Desantis had requested the aid extension last week. In response to the announcement, he told reporters, “It’s important, but we may need more.”
Biden said 4,000 federal personnel are on the ground in Florida and the Southeast. Search and rescue teams have knocked on over 70,000 doors, he said, with 3,800 people. He also discussed more ways the federal government can help with other actions FEMA, the Small Business Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Wednesday’s visit was the first face-to-face meeting between Biden and DeSantis since the governor ordered migrants flown from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, which the White House this week continued to slam as a “political stunt.”
Biden and DeSantis have put politics aside to respond to Hurricane Ian, as they spoke several times before and after the storm hit as Biden issued emergency declarations.
“I want to thank President Biden and Jill Biden as well as Administrator Deanne Criswell for coming down here looking at a really really significant damage here in Lee County and there’s other places where you have really significant damage as well outside of this general area,” DeSantis said Wednesday.”We were very fortunate to have good coordination with the White House and with FEMA from the very beginning of this.”
The Florida trip came just days after Biden traveled to Puerto Rico, which was hit by Hurricane Fiona last month.
The Category 1 storm hit the island on Sept. 18, knocking out power for most of the U.S. territory’s residents and killing at least 13 people. As of Biden’s visit, more than two weeks after the storm, more than 100,000 people were still without power.
During his visit to Port of Ponce, on the south side of Puerto Rico, Biden announced more than $60 million in federal funding to help the island better prepare for extreme weather events in the wake of Hurricane Fiona.
“Puerto Rico is a strong place, and Puerto Ricans are strong people,” Biden said as he spoke at the Port of Ponce. “But even so, you have had to bear so much and more than need be, and you haven’t gotten the help in a timely way.”
Paramore has issued a statement following the alleged assault of crowd members who attended their concert in Magna, Utah on Tuesday.
“A man physically and verbally assaulted multiple women, including an engaged couple at our show,” Paramore writes in an Instagram post. “Our security team and venue staff were made aware and were able to restrain and remove him.”
“We did not realize this was happening, as the incident took place out of view from stage,” the statement continues. “Had we seen any of this happening, we would have stopped the show until the situation was under control.”
Paramore also apologizes to “the fans who were hurt by or who witnessed what happened” while adding that the group “DOES NOT CONDONE violence, homophobia, or bigotry of any kind.”
“It is supremely unwelcome in our community and has no place at our shows,” Paramore writes.
The statement concludes, “To make things as clear as possible: Paramore shows are meant to be a safe place for people. If you can’t respect that, do not come.”
The Utah show was the second date on Paramore’s ongoing comeback tour, which marks their first live show in four years. Last week, Hayley Williams and company dropped “This Is Why,” their first new song in five years. It is the title track off their next album, which is due out February 10, 2023.
It’s been about a week since Hailey Bieber broke her silence on the accusations she stole husband Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez.
To recap, Hailey told the Call Her Daddypodcast, “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it.” She also said Justin’s decision to move on from Selena and be with her was the “most healthy, mature decision he could have made.”
While Justin hasn’t spoken out directly about what his wife said, sources have told Us Weekly how the hitmaker is taking the news. “[Justin’s] proud of Hailey for being herself and thought the whole interview was super cool,” an insider spilled.
The spy also shed some light on why Hailey came forward. “Hailey felt she needed to address that elephant in the room and clear the air with regards to how she and Justin got together, now she’s moved on and doesn’t want to address it,” they shared.
The insider adds Hailey “means no harm to Selena” but that she came forward “to let it be known that she’s had some horrible abuse and it wasn’t okay to treat her that way and nor will it ever be.”
Selena reacted in horror upon hearing her so-called fans were harassing Hailey and went Live on TikTok to call out the “vile and disgusting” behavior. She also called for fans to be kind and understand that “words matter.”
Selena and Justin famously dated off and on for several years before separating for good in 2018. A small but vocal group of fans still believe the two — whom they dub “Jelena” — are meant to be and have continued to attack Hailey for marrying him.
