While her final resting place may not be quite what she was hoping for, Alan Jackson superfan Mary Ann “Marie” Gallant is still getting a special, posthumous honor from her favorite country superstar.

If you followed last week’s viral story about Mary Ann, the Maine woman who hoped to have her ashes spread over Alan’s property, you know that her daughter, Sue Castle, traveled to Nashville with her ashes in hopes of leaving them at their intended destination.

But the story reached so many people that Alan and his team knew she was coming, according to an update from local publication Sun Journal.

Turns out, Alan remembered Marie, a die-hard fan who attended more than 20 of his shows during her lifetime, got a detailed tattoo of his portrait and even once joined him onstage and briefly danced with him to “Remember When.”

While Marie’s ashes won’t be spending eternity on Alan’s property, she is going to be memorialized at his downtown Nashville hot spot, AJ’s Good Time Bar: A tiny exhibit of her favorite car, a 1965 Mustang, will be on display in her honor.

In addition, Sue’s pilgrimage to Nashville earned her free food for life every time she pops back in to Alan’s Nashville bar. She tells the newspaper she’s planning to scatter Mary’s ashes in her own backyard instead.

Creative Arts Agency, one of the biggest talent agencies in Hollywood, has cut ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, ABC News confirmed Monday.

The decision follows the anti-Semitic comments Ye posted to social media and reiterated in various media appearances thereafter.

CAA is the latest organization to end their relationship with Ye. Major partnerships with Balenciaga and Gap have ended, with his Adidas collaboration “under review,” according to a statement listed in multiple reports.

Also revealed Monday is news that film and TV studio MRC won’t release a completed documentary about the rapper. According to The Hollywood ReporterMRC was in the distribution phase before deciding to shelve the project.

“This morning, after discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West,” CEOs Modi Wiczyk and Asif Satchu, as well as COO Scott Tenley, wrote in a letter, per THR. “We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform.”

In LA Sunday, a white supremacist group showed support for Ye by hanging a banner on the 405 freeway that read, “Kanye is right about the Jews” and “Honk if you Know.”

Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, later tweeted in support of the Jewish community saying, “Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.”

Earlier this month, Ye sparked widespread backlash after wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt during a Yeezy fashion show in Paris and tweeting, “I’m going death con 3 on Jewish people.” In an interview with Piers Morgan, the rapper apologized to those he hurt but said he’s “absolutely not” regretful about making the statement.

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has premiered another new song off his upcoming debut solo album, Radio Songs.

The track is titled “HK” and was written while he was on tour with Blur in Hong Kong.

“I fell in love with the city before the plane had even landed — a new record for me,” Rowntree says. “The track was inspired by Hong Kong’s beauty, claustrophobia, and sense of dark foreboding, set against the backdrop of a chaotic Chinese radio station.”

Blur’s most recent album, 2015’s The Magic Whip, was recorded partly in Hong Kong.

You can listen to “HK” now via digital outlets and watch its accompanying video streaming now on YouTube.

Radio Songs is due out January 20, 2023. It also includes the previously released tracks “London Bridge” and “Devil’s Island.”

Next month marks the 55th anniversary of The Moody Blues‘ classic 1967 album, Days of Future Passed. To celebrate the milestone, the band’s longtime singer/bassist, John Lodge, will launch a 2023 U.S. tour showcasing a full performance of the record.

Lodge’s Performs Days of Future Passed tour will feature the 77-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer accompanied by his 10,000 Light Years Band and a guest appearance by his friend and current Yes frontman Jon Davison. In addition to the performance of the album, the show will feature renditions of other popular Moody Blues songs that were written by Lodge.

The trek, which will visit a variety of East Coast venues, kicks off February 18 in Lexington, Massachusetts and runs through a March 15 concert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased by visiting JohnLodge.com.

As with Lodge’s recent solo shows, the new concert will also feature a special recording by late Moody Blues drummer Graeme Edge reciting the Days of Future Passed spoken-word piece he wrote, “Late Lament.”

Lodge has been working on the Days of Future Passed show with his longtime musical director and keyboardist Alan Hewitt, who he’s also collaborating with for his new studio album.

Like the album, the new concert will center on the story of “a day in the life of an everyday man.” The performance will recreate the record’s orchestral parts while adding a modern feel.

“[A]s I looked back to the past, I realised that I also wanted to look forwards to the Future,” Lodge says of the tour. “My hope is that in this show, and album, you will get to revisit 1967, but at the same time, see how this album has grown with me, and with you.”

“I am back as Superman”: Henry Cavill thanks fans as he makes his return official

In what won’t be news if you stayed for the end-credits to Black Adam — or if you came across spoilers about it — Henry Cavill will be returning to the DC universe as the Man of Steel.

In an Instagram video post that began with an image of himself once again dressed as the Last Son of Krypton, Cavill admitted he “waited until the weekend was over” to give people a chance to see the movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and reveal his big news.

“I wanted to make it official — I am back as Superman,” the lantern-jawed English actor said. He teased, “The image you see on this post, and what you’ve seen in Black Adam are just a very small taste of things to come.”

Cavill added, “there’s a lot to be thankful for, but most of all, thank you for your support and for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded.”

The actor was referring to the fact there hasn’t been a proper sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. Prior to the post-credits stinger for Black Adam, however, Cavill appeared as Superman in 2016’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2017’s Justice League and the re-cut Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which debuted on HBO Max in 2021.

Cavill captioned his post, “A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed…”

The rumors of a Man of Steel sequel began coming to a boil as Johnson promoted Black Adam. The superstar pushed hard for a storyline that would put the two god-like characters on a collision course — which is just what the post-credits scene teases.

Niall Horan seemingly missed the dress code memo for Doja Cat’s sexy masquerade birthday party

Doja Cat celebrated her birthday in style by hosting a sexy masquerade themed party, where guests were encouraged to don masks and skimpy outfits. Unfortunately for Niall Horan, he missed the memo.

E! News was on hand to photograph the star-studded guest list as they checked into the birthday bash. Among them was Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey, who wore velvet capes and sultry, black garments.

Doja made sure she was the belle of the ball and wore a dramatic, golden mask embossed with feathers that covered her entire face. She, too, wore a long velvet cape and kept it tightly wrapped around her body as she walked into the festivities. Only those inside got to see the full ensemble.

Other guests who took the theme to heart was model Winnie Harlow, rapper Tyga and Normani. There were also a few attendees who decided capes and masks weren’t their flavor.

Shawn Mendes honored Doja’s dress code by wearing an ultra loosely button-down jade green shirt and black dress pants. So, technically, his colors were on point and complemented what everyone else was wearing.

But then there’s Niall, who disregarded the dress code entirely. He rolled up to the event wearing a casual purple tee shirt, denim jeans and sneakers. To put it mildly, he stuck out like a sore thumb.

Knowing Niall, he probably had a good time and maybe gave Doja a pretty awesome gift, too.

Janet Jackson gave Taylor Swift her stamp of approval after listening to one of the songs from Swift’s new album, Midnights.

In a video posted to TikTok, the legendary R&B singer nods along to “Snow on the Beach,” enjoying the new track she’s referenced in.

“i LUV it,” Jackson captioned the video while smiling and humming along. “It’s nice, it’s nice,” she says later in the clip.

On the Lana Del Ray-assisted song, Swift sings, “But your eyes are flying saucers from another planet / Now I’m all for you like Janet / Can this be a real thing? Can it?”

The now-viral TikTok video garnered hundreds of comments from users, many who appreciated Jackson’s acknowledgment of Swift.

“I love that she is listening! Mega fans of both.. this makes me so happy!” one user wrote. “LEGENDS SUPPORTING LEGENDS,” another said.

Just days after dropping her 10th studio album, Swift celebrated Midnights becoming the most streamed album in a single day on Spotify. Swift also became the most streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history.

In response to the Spotify news, Taylor tweeted to her fans, “How did I get this lucky, having you guys out here doing something this mind blowing?! Like what even just happened??!?!”

Ex-MCR drummer auctioning off ’Black Parade’-era costume

Reprise Records

Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar is auctioning off his original Black Parade costume.

“Does anyone want this?” Bryar writes of the outfit. “I have no clue how much it’s worth. It’s my OG Black Parade costume. It was used in the photos, videos, DVDs.”

Bryar notes that the costume is currently “sitting in a box doing nothing” and might come with a few hairs from his dog Fred, who he let wear it “for a minute.”

“The Fred hairs are free,” Bryar says.

To answer Bryar’s first question, it seems that quite a few people would indeed want an original MCR Black Parade costume. As of Monday at 1 p.m. ET, the current bid is $12,000.

Should you want to say so long and good night to that kind of money, you can place a bid now through this Saturday, October 29 via eBay.com. Proceeds will be donated to efforts in Florida and South Carolina helping abandoned and sheltered pets affected by Hurricane Ian.

Bryar, who drummed in MCR between 2004 and 2010, previously auctioned off the kit he played during My Chem’s 2005 MTV VMA performance. At the time, Bryar shared that he was “permanently closing the book on my drumming days.”

My Chemical Romance’s current drummer is Jarrod Alexander, who played in the band from 2011 to their 2013 breakup, and since they’ve reunited at the end of 2019. The band’s current U.S. tour, which was postponed from 2020 to this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will conclude this Saturday with the final day of the When We Were Young festival.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ trailer out now

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ trailer out now
Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios has dropped the official trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The film, the third focused on Paul Rudd‘s Ant-Man/Scott Lang and the second featuring Evangeline Lilly‘s Hope van Dyne/the Wasp in the title, will kick off Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it opens in U.S. theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.

Set to Elton John‘s “Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road,” the trailer also features Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer also returning as Hope’s parents, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne — the original Ant-Man and the Wasp, respectively.

Kathryn Newton has been re-cast as Cassie Long, Scott’s daughter, who in the trailer invents a gadget that sucks the gang into the Quantum Realm and puts them face to face with Jonathan Majors‘ Kang the Conqueror, first seen in season one of Loki on Disney+.

According to the film’s official synopsis, the heroes’ adventure “will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.”

In July, director Peyton Reed and the cast joined Kevin Feige onstage at San Diego Comic-Con for a Q&A and first look at the film. Rudd told the crowd that “Scott is pretty pleased with himself in his role with saving the universe” after the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Even as the trailer hints, some people confuse him for Spider-Man.

Newton added that the new film will explore the dynamic between Scott and Cassie, as her father missed years of her life while trapped in the Quantum Realm. “Cassie is becoming who she’s supposed to be,” she teased. “And I don’t want to say anything else!”

Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
