Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum has debuted a music video for “Judgement Day,” the first single from his all-star band King of Chaos‘ forthcoming debut album, which is due out late 2023.

The “Judgement Day” video, which premiered at GuitarWorld.com and also can be viewed on the AFM Records label’s YouTube channel, features guest appearances by ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons and Sorum’s wife, fashion designer/choreographer Ace Harper.

Sorum explains about the clip, “Drawing inspiration from the 1971 film Vanishing Point morphed with imagery inspired by Natural Born Killers, Director Brian Cox … and I conceptualized a man running from his demons on a wild ride to find redemption guided by The Reverend Willy G [portrayed by Gibbons], an Angel … on a motorcycle [portrayed by Harper] and his inner child. A Wayward Wanderer searching for the light.”

“Judgement Day” was co-written and performed by Sorum and his ex-Velvet Revolver bandmates Slash, Duff McKagan and David Kushner, and features Matt on drums and lead vocals. Sorum also played with Slash and McKagan in GN’R.

The single will be released via digital formats on Friday, October 28 and can be presaved now.

As previously reported, the first Kings of Chaos album, which is expected in either the fall or winter of next year, will feature original songs and “guest collaborations with some of rock’s biggest names — including some of today’s most talented and iconic female artists.”

Matthew Perry has apologized for remarks he made about Keanu Reeves in his new memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.

In a passage about celebrity deaths, Perry wrote, “It always seems to be the really talented guys who go down. Why is it that original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us?”

Reeves was also cited in a different passage about late comedian Chris Farley. “His disease had progressed faster than mine had,” Perry wrote of Farley. “I punched a hole through Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room wall when I found out. Keanu Reeves still walks among us.”

Those passages went viral on social media Wednesday night when Reeves’ fans questioned Perry’s comments. Perry has now apologized in a statement to People.

“I’m actually a big fan of Keanu. I just chose a random name, my mistake. I apologize. I should have used my own name instead,” the statement reads.

Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing releases everywhere on November 1.

Luke Combs got some major love when the nominations were announced for the 2022 People’s Choice Awards this week.

Not only was the singer nominated in the Country Artist category, but he also earned three all-genre nods. He’s up for Male Artist of 2022 alongside acts like Bad Bunny and Harry Styles, plus his Middle of Somewhere Tour earned him a nomination for Concert Tour of 2022 — a category in which he’s going head-to-head against Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga among others.

Luke’s also in the running for Album of 2022, thanks to his newest project, Growin’ Up. Competition in that category is fierce, too: Other nominees include Beyoncé’s Renaissance, Lizzo’s Special and Taylor Swift’s just-released Midnights.

As a contender in the Country Artist field, Luke is one of eight A-List nominees. The other artists in the category are Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, Thomas Rhett, Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini.

The 2022 People’s Choice Awards will take place December 6 at 9 p.m. ET. It’s airing on NBC and E!, and actor Kenan Thompson will host the show.

Taylor Swift just released the music video for “Anti-Hero,” but one controversial scene has been edited out after sparking backlash from fans.

The scene in question saw Taylor standing on a scale and, instead of reading her weight, it simply told her she was “fat” in all capital letters.  As of Thursday morning, that scene has been edited out on YouTube and replaced with a clip of Taylor standing on the scale and looking at what it says before turning her head toward her disapproving doppelgänger.

Apple Music similarly updated the music video to reflect the new changes.  It’s believed the controversial scene was removed because fans deemed it fatphobic.

The issue fans had with that particular scene was that they felt Taylor was insinuating being fat was a negative trait. Fans argued that Taylor was expressing a fear of weight gain by equating it to failure.

Meanwhile, other fans pointed out Taylor struggled with an eating disorder and was lampooned for gaining weight during her Reputation era. They argued the scene represented her unhealthy thoughts about her body.

To recap, when announcing the track’s title earlier this month, Taylor had posted a video on Instagram, calling “Anti-Hero” one of her favorite songs she’s ever written.

The song is about “delving into [her] insecurities,” of which she said, “This song really is a real guided tour throughout all of the things I tend to hate about myself. We all hate things about ourselves. It’s all of those aspects of the things we dislike and like about ourselves that we have to come to terms with if we’re going to be this person.”

Taylor nor her team have publicly addressed the alterations.

George Strait and Chris Stapleton announced a six-date string of stadium shows for 2023 earlier this week — but it turns out, they’re going to make it seven.

The two acts are adding a second date at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, due to fan demand. The new date will be on Friday, July 28, one day before the originally scheduled July 29 show. Little Big Town will open the show, along with all the other 2023 stadium dates that George and Chris have previously announced.

The King of Country’s last official tour took place in 2012, and since then, he’s performed occasional one-off shows and headlined a Las Vegas residency. But when he made the initial announcement for his new dates earlier this week, he told Billboard that teaming up with Chris and Little Big Town just felt like a natural fit for 2023.

“It just felt right. I had the opportunity to work with Chris and Little Big Town and everything just kind of fell in place for next year,” George explained. “I don’t do that many shows anymore, so if we can do a stadium where we can play for more people, that works for me.”

Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, November 4 at 10 am local time.

Harry Styles is a washed-up squid merman in new “Music For a Sushi Restaurant” music video

Harry Styles‘ chaotic new music video takes a page from Katy Perry‘s “Bon Appétit” and The Little Mermaid. In it, he is a fish out of water — literally — and everyone wants to eat him.

Harry released the visual for “Music For a Sushi Restaurant” on Thursday, which depicts him as a half-squid and thickly-bearded merman that was washed ashore and into the clutches of three men who catch and serve seafood for a living.

The humans drag him back to their kitchen and pose for a trophy photo with Harry before tossing him onto a metal table. The singer watches in horror as his captors begin preparing various sea creatures for consumption — knowing full well that he’s next.

Harry escapes his fate by using his siren song to turn the men into his slaves. The three fall into a trance and begin happily tending to all of Harry’s needs — from massaging his tentacles to feeding him whole fish.

Harry is then revealed to be a huge diva, but his reign of terror is short lived. After turning the fishery into a music venue, he loses his singing voice and his hold over the three men.

He is then dragged back into the kitchen and cut up into little bits to be served at the newly rebranded sushi bar.

“Music For a Sushi” restaurant is the latest single off the Harry’s House album to get the music video treatment following “As It Was” and “Late Night Talking.”

The song peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Alan Jackson is getting a special honor at the 2022 CMA Awards complete with a cast of A-List artists who are set to deliver a tribute.

The living legend will receive the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s ceremony, in recognition of his national and international prominence over his decades-long career.

He’ll accept the award in person at the show, and he’ll be there to watch a number of stars perform in tribute to his musical legacy. Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood, Jon Pardi and Lainey Wilson will be on hand to do the honors.

Two months before the debut of the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, the late singer’s estate is honoring her memory with a new fragrance.

The Whitney Houston Signature Fragrance is “inspired by Whitney’s most beloved scents,” Pat Houston, head of the Whitney Houston estate, tells Essence. “It’s a wonderful combination of fruity sparkling florals with the warm and woody dry down in this tall, elegant bottle,” she says.

The fragrance is now available online through the Home Shopping Network and will arrive on Scent Beauty’s website in November. An exclusive holiday gift set will also be launched at Walmart early November.

“I would tell anyone to wear Whitney Houston is to feel inspired and confident like Whitney,” Houston continues. “And she always loved to encourage women to embrace love within themselves, always. I’m hopeful that when people, women, and when men buy it for their mothers or wives or sisters or whatever, actually they know they’re actually favoring one of Whitney’s favorite things: just loving yourself. Her favorite song was ‘The Greatest Love Of All.’ And I always will attribute that line to this Scent Beauty product, her fragrance, Whitney, with her famous signature on the bottle.”

As previously reported, the iconic singer’s movie debut, The Bodyguard, will return to theaters on Sunday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 9 to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The special screenings will also include Whitney’s videos for two songs from the soundtrack — “Queen of the Night” and “I Will Always Love You” — immediately following the film. Tickets are available via TheBodyguard30.com.

To go along with the 30th anniversary, a vinyl version of The Bodyguard soundtrack will arrive November 18, available exclusively at Target.

The I Wanna Dance With Somebody biopic hits theaters December 21.
