There was a meeting of the Trevors at the 65th annual Grammy Awards. Host Trevor Noah shared the moment in which he encountered Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith Jr., at the event.

In the clip posted to Instagram, Noah walks up to Busta while singing the chorus to his 2001 song “What It Is.” He then praised Busta’s performance in the tribute celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. “That was everything,” he says, to which Busta thanks him. The rapper then points out that they’re both Trevors, a fact Noah says he learned as “his biggest fan.”

“I was, like, I’ll be his backup whenever he needs it, whenever he needs it,” Noah says. “Right here. If Spliff [Star] is busy, you call me,” he tells Busta, before breaking out into a verse from the rapper’s “Party Is Goin’ On Over Here.” Busta smiles and occasionally joins him in rapping until the video comes to an end.

“Flipmode is the greatest!!!” Noah captioned the video.

Journey is currently on their 50th anniversary tour, and it looks like there’s something special in store for fans going to their upcoming show in Austin, Texas.

Guitarist Neal Schon took to social media to tease what he’s calling a “special surprise” at the February 22 show in Austin. While he didn’t say anything else, fans think they know what it is.

Schon has said in the past that he was hoping to get Journey’s original keyboardist, Gregg Rolie, to join the tour. Fans think that’s what Schon’s teasing, especially since Rolie currently lives near Austin.

“Yes, a surprise… I wonder who lives in Texas,…hmmm, I wonder….who could it be??” one fan commented alongside a keyboard emoji, with another adding, “I’m gonna take a swing and say Mr. Rollie [sic] is gonna join you guys haha I hope my guess is right brother. Love it man, you deserve it.”

New Missouri bill takes ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law even further

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) — A new Missouri bill takes Florida’s controversial Parental Rights in Education law, dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” law, even further.

The bill says that “no nurse, counselor, teacher, principal, contracted personnel, or other administrative official at a public or charter school shall discuss gender identity or sexual orientation with a minor student” unless they’re a licensed mental health care provider and have a guardian’s permission.

The Missouri bill goes further than the Florida law, which restricts classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity through kindergarten to grade 3, by not specifying an age group and explicitly barring discussions on these topics.

The bill has already earned backlash from LGBTQ rights organizations and allies. They say the bill has the potential to erase books or lessons about LGBTQ people from classrooms and marginalizes LGBTQ students and faculty.

“The recent ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill that passed in Florida was step one in erasing conversations about gender identity and sexual orientation within grade school curriculum,” PROMO Missouri, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, said in a statement. “Missouri is taking the next giant leap by aiming to stop faculty, staff, and students from talking about these and related topics at all.”

The Missouri Senate Education and Workforce Development Committee held a hearing Tuesday on Republican state Sen. Mike Moon’s proposed legislation, however committee members did not vote. PROMO Missouri protested the Tuesday hearing.

Supporters of these bills say these restrictions give parents more of a say about what their kids learn in classrooms.

Moon’s office did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.

Moon said the bill is “hoping to not spur the conversations, or just stay away from it altogether” and he is “hopeful” it won’t interfere with content about history, social studies and other subjects, according to the Springfield News-Leader.

Some school districts in Florida have removed books and changed curriculums in the wake of the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law, as well as the “Stop WOKE” law that restricts certain race-related content.

The Missouri bill coincides with the introduction of another bill from Moon that would ban transgender girls from participating in girl’s sports and would cut funding to any school that allows it.

Similar bills have been proposed in Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas, Indiana and other Republican-led states.

Former fixer Michael Cohen meets with prosecutors investigating Donald Trump

(NEW YORK) — Donald Trump’s one-time lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen arrived Wednesday at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to meet with prosecutors investigating the former president’s role in alleged hush payments to a porn actress before the 2016 election.

This is Cohen’s 15th interview with the district attorney’s office but the first since a recently convened grand jury began hearing evidence about the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about a long-denied affair with Trump.

Cohen helped arrange the payment with David Pecker, then-publisher of the National Enquirer. Pecker appeared before the grand jury on Jan. 30.

The hush-money case was rejected by former District Attorney Cy Vance, but revived under current District Attorney Alvin Bragg, whose office has been fending off criticism of a decision not to charge Trump earlier.

“I thought it’s important not only to shed light on the evidence but also the back and forth that took place,” said Mark Pomerantz, a former special assistant district attorney who co-led the investigation until his resignation last year and the author of a new book, People vs. Donald Trump: An Inside Account.

“The underlying question of guilt was not one that divided people,” Pomerantz told GMA3 in an interview airing Wednesday. “I think there was a fear that if you go forward with the case and don’t win, you shake public confidence in the legal system.”

Bragg has said the case Pomerantz wanted to bring, that centered on Trump’s allegedly fraudulent statements of financial condition, was “not ready” and he expressed concern the book’s publication could hurt the ongoing investigation.

“I didn’t write the book to try and help Donald Trump avoid prosecution. The message of the book is the evidence was there,” Pomerantz said.

Trump has always denied having an affair with Daniels and has called Bragg’s investigation a “witch hunt.”

(DETROIT) — The Michigan State Police says it continues to investigate the deaths of three Michigan rappers after confirming Tuesday each died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police have determined that their deaths were not a random incident and believe they have determined a motive, though it has not yet been released.

The rappers — 38-year-old Armani Kelly, 31-year-old Dante Wicker and 31-year-old Montoya Givens — were last seen on Jan. 21.

Their remains were found last week in the basement of an abandoned apartment complex in Highland Park, Michigan.

The men were scheduled to perform for a rap event at Lounge 31 that was canceled at the last minute due to an issue with the DJ.

Police had been concerned about their disappearance because there had not been any activity on their phones or online accounts.

Police said the three men were together at some point on Jan. 21, but they do not know if they left Lounge 31 together.

Megadeth sued over ’The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!’ artwork

Megadeth sued over ’The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!’ artwork

Megadeth has been sued for copyright infringement by the person who created the artwork for the band’s latest album, The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!

In the suit, which was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, artist Brent Elliott White, who created art for previous Megadeth albums, alleges that the thrash metallers used his his work for the cover of The Sick “all without having paid [White] and without his permission.” It names Megadeth, frontman Dave Mustaine and the label Universal Music Group among the defendants.

When details of The Sick were first announced in June 2022, White claims that, “Without a signed agreement with Plaintiff in place and without paying Plaintiff anything for his work, Megadeth knowingly released Plaintiff’s artwork and — shockingly to Plaintiff — credited its lead singer, Dave Mustaine, for the album’s ‘Art Concept.'”

White says he then reached out to Universal Music Group, reiterating that they “don’t have a contract or art release or usage agreement.” White alleges that, “Defendants attempted to force Plaintiff to accept the same terms as for the first Megadeth album he provided artwork for,” which he had previously stated “would not be acceptable.”

By the time The Sick was eventually released in September 2022, White says he still did not have a contract or usage agreement with the defendants, thus they were using his artwork “without his permission.”

The suit also alleges that Megadeth improperly licensed White’s artwork to third parties.

“To date, Megadeth has still failed to pay Plaintiff for the work he performed for Megadeth,” the suit reads. “Moreover, Plaintiff has not been credited for his artwork.”

Reps for Megadeth and UMG have not responded to The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment.

Model mom: Ashley Graham responds to flak for weaning her twins off breastmilk
Good Morning America

Ashley Graham has been open with her Instagram followers as she journeyed into motherhood, telling ABC Audio before the birth of her first child, Isaac, in 2020 that she was taking notes from her social media followers. “The mommy community has embraced me so much,” she said at the time.

But now, as a mom of twins, she’s learning online feedback cuts both ways. She told guest Daily Show host Chelsea Handler on Tuesday night that she’s gotten flak online for her decision to stop breastfeeding her twin sons, Malachi and Roman.

“There’s this whole thing with people telling you how to feed your child,” the model and body positivity advocate vented.

“With my first kid, I was like, ‘I can only breastfeed! This is the right way!'” she said of raising Isaac, now 3.

Graham continued, “Then I had the twins, and I was like, ‘I’m not doing this. This is not working here. Both of you want both of these? This is a lot of work.'”

“Overnight, my whole life changed, and it felt like I was feeding a nation,” she joked.

The 35-year-old former Sports Illustrated pinup said five months after she and husband Justin Ervin added the twins to their family, she switched to formula, and the now-1-year-old boys are “so strong and happy.”

Stars chime in on Steve Albini’s Steely Dan hate

Music producer Steve Albini recently went on a Twitter rant about how much he hates Steely Dan, and now other artists have chimed in on the debate.

“I will always be the kind of punk that sh*ts on Steely Dan,” he tweeted. “Christ the amount of human effort wasted to sound like an SNL band warm up.”

But apparently not everyone agrees with Albini’s take, with rockers like Jenny Lewis and St. Vincent, plus actor Ben Stiller, not afraid to show their love for the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers.

“i f***ing love steely dan,” wrote Lewis, with Stiller commenting on her tweet, “Me too.” And St. Vincent agrees,  tweeting, “For the record – I F***ING LOVE STEELY DAN.”

But not everyone disagrees with Albini’s take. Americana artist Jason Isbell chimed in that his wife, fellow Americana artist Amanda Shires, is anti-Steely Dan, too. He tweeted, “My wife hates Steely Dan so much she’s starting a fan group called the Albini Babies.” Albini responded, “Sir please pass on from me to your kind missus the highest appropriate compliment. She is a good woman. And now I’ll leave you be.”
