Volbeat has announced a North American tour in continued support of the band’s latest album, 2021’s Servant of the Mind.
The trek, which will also feature Halestorm on select dates, kicks off July 12 in Toronto, and includes a mix of U.S. and Canadian stops.
“We are so excited to finally see our friends in Canada again and also get to play shows for some of our friends in the U.S. that we haven’t had a chance to see since Servant of the Mind was released,” Volbeat says. “The incomparable Halestorm will be joining us for most of the shows, too. We hope to see you at the party!”

Michael Ray has returned with a brand new song, “Get Her Back.”
Written by Dallas Wilson, Jordan James, Lalo and Michael Tyler, the midtempo track boasts triple entendre lyricism and a midtempo production that amplifies the narrator’s heartbroken yet bitter sentiments.
“I was raised on country songs that turn what you think on its head. You think you know what the song’s all about, then you hear the hook – and it’s something completely else,” Michael tells the press.
“That’s what the greats like Haggard, Cash or Conway were all about. So, when I heard this, the way it flipped the script twice, I knew I had to cut ‘Get Her Back.’ The way it’s written is so tight, and then what Michael Knox did in the studio? The track is so sexy, he really intensifies that sense of what’s going on here,” he adds.
Additionally, Michael has teamed up with director Spidey Smith for a dramatic and cinematic music video for his new song.

Green Day has unearthed a never-before-seen live video from 1990.
The performance was recorded weeks before the punk trio released their debut album, 39/Smooth, which celebrated its 33rd anniversary this week.

Ted Nugent is hitting the road one last time. The singer announced on social media that he’s heading out on what he calls the Adios Mofo ’23 Tour, which he says will be his last trek ever.
“This is ‘Adios Mofo.’ This is my last tour,” he says in a new video. “Now, I’ll always play music. I’ve got new records I’m gonna make. I can’t wait to unleash some of these new songs.”
He thanked all his fans for their support and insists his “musical dream will continue,” but says he will no longer tour because “a hotel room is a jail for me.” He also says his dogs won’t let him be away for even a day, noting, “the logistics are just too complicated when you have dogs and grandkids and kids and so many other things.”
Nugent adds, “This will be the greatest, most intense, tightest, most dynamic, outrageously fun tour of my life. But ‘Adios Mofo.'”

Former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley has undergone quadruple bypass heart surgery.
In a statement posted to Bayley’s Instagram, the musician’s management writes, “Blaze is out of surgery & we understand the operation has gone well.”
“More news as & when,” the post continues. “THANK YOU EVERYONE!”
As previously reported, Bayley, 59, was hospitalized in late March after suffering a heart attack. At the time, Bayley’s management shared that he was in “stable condition,” though, understandably, his upcoming tour dates would be postponed.
Upon the news, the Iron Maiden Twitter account posted, “Everyone at Iron Maiden wishes Blaze a quick and full recovery!”
Bayley joined Iron Maiden in 1994, and contributed to the albums The X Factor and Virtual XI. He parted ways with the group in 1999, after which longtime vocalist Bruce Dickinson rejoined the band. Dickinson has remained Maiden’s singer ever since.
Drake has reacted to an artificial intelligence version of him rapping to Ice Spice‘s “Munch (Feelin’ U).” He reposted The Shade Room’s Story about Universal Music Group’s request to block artificial intelligence companies on his Instagram Story, specifically sharing the slide in which the AI version of Drake is heard rapping Spice’s song.
“This is the final straw AI,” he wrote. His disapproval of artificial intelligence was shared by Universal Music Group, which asked DSPs to stop artificial intelligence companies from training technology with UMG’s music.
“We have a moral and commercial responsibility to our artists to work to prevent the unauthorized use of their music and to stop platforms from ingesting content that violates the rights of artists and other creators,” a UMG spokesperson said in a statement, per Variety. “We expect our platform partners will want to prevent their services from being used in ways that harm artists.”
Radiohead‘s Jonny Greenwood is trading “Fake Plastic Trees” for real ones — specifically, olive trees.
The guitarist has announced that he’s selling olive oil from the Italian farm where he “spend[s] all my time outside of music.”
“It’s only a few bottles, but I’m really proud of the final product, for all that this is what rockstarsofacertainage seem to drift into doing,” the 51-year-old Greenwood says, offering up Sting as an example of a fellow rock star of a certain age.
Greenwood continues, “It’s an addictive thing, though, harvesting and pressing this glorious fruit, and spending more and more time with Italian friends in this beautiful country.”
The oil comes in a bottle designed by frequent Radiohead visual collaborator Stanley Donwood. It’s available now to order via Radiohead’s W.A.S.T.E. HQ web store, though it currently only ships to U.K. addresses.
As for all his time spent with music, Radiohead still continues to be quiet, though Greenwood’s been busy with The Smile, his side project with Thom Yorke. He also just announced a collaborative album with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa, due out in June.
Lewis Capaldi is known for his emotional ballads and apparently he has the power to apply that singing style to one of the most upbeat songs ever.
For the British radio station Capital FM, Lewis performed a “bedroom cover” — a song by a different artist, performed while on a set designed to look like their childhood bedroom. He chose the theme for one of his favorite TV shows, Friends, “I’ll Be There For You.”
While the song is super happy sounding, the lyrics aren’t, so Lewis really leans into that as he sings a slowed-down version of the song on acoustic guitar.
And speaking of emotional ballads, Lewis has released another one from his upcoming album. This one is called “Wish You the Best,” and Lewis says it “came from the idea of a person you used to be with, telling you all this amazing stuff about their life, without you in it.”
He adds, “It’s a song about what we don’t say to those people. I was fascinated by the things left unsaid, whether that be in a relationship or a friendship.” He co-wrote the song with JP Saxe of “If the World Was Ending” fame.
On Twitter, JP writes, “I love this song so much. I’d been wanting to write with @LewisCapaldi since the first moment I heard him. We wrote this the day we met. I’m so happy it’s in the world now.“

(NEW YORK) — Spring has sprung and summer is around the corner which means long strolls and rolling strides outside to enjoy the warm weather months.
But with heat waves already setting in across parts of the country, ABC News’ Good Morning America tapped Dr. Liz Weinandy, lead dietitian at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, to explain what to watch out for if dehydration hits, as well as the best things to drink and eat to keep your body nourished.
Symptoms of dehydration
“There are several signs a person might be dehydrated,” she said. “Headache or confusion, extreme thirst, very dark urine, infrequent urination, fatigue, muscle cramping and lightheadedness. In extreme cases of dehydration, it can lead to heatstroke or hyperthermia (abnormally high body heat).”
When it comes to preventative measures and staying hydrated, Weinandy said, “the best way to avoid dehydration is to drink before you get thirsty.”
“In some situations, it is easier to get dehydrated, like being active in hot temperatures,” she continued.
Best drinks for hydration besides water
While some supplements like hydration packets that are added to water can be helpful for some, Weinandy said H2O still reigns supreme for staying hydrated.
“Water is usually best and suitable for most people unless they are excessively sweating, then replacing electrolytes like potassium and sodium start to become more important,” Weinandy explained. “Sports drinks and electrolyte replacement solutions are very appropriate in this situation, although keep in mind most people do not need them.”
“As for food, most fruits and vegetables have a higher water content compared to other foods,” she said. “Melons, strawberries, pineapple, cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce are especially high in water and can help prevent dehydration.”
Who’s at-risk for dehydration?
Weinandy said another factor to keep in mind is that “some groups are at a higher risk of becoming dehydrated.”
“Infants, elderly and people who cannot communicate clearly” can all be more prone to dehydration, she said. “Also, being dehydrated increases the risk of developing kidney stones because urine is more concentrated.”
How much water to drink to stay hydrated
ABC News chief medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton said the amount of water you should consume daily depends on your age, height and where you live.
Most guidelines call for the average woman to drink around 2.7 liters per day, and 3.7 liters for men.
One liter is equivalent to 33 ounces.
“Your body’s own systems will tell you when you need more water and it’s called thirst,” Ashton said. “A lot of times people think they’re hungry and they’re actually thirsty. See how it works for you.”
