Mayim Bialik is reportedly stepping away from her remaining installments of Jeopardy! in solidarity with the picketing WGA writers, according to Deadline.
The trade says she had a final week of shooting to go in season 39 of the beloved quiz show, but will now let alternating co-host and former Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings take the podium for those installments.
Jennings will close out this season’s new shows starting Tuesday, May 16, and wrapping up Friday, May 19; as always, multiple episodes are filmed per day.
Over the years, all kinds of crazy celebrity-adjacent stuff has been posted on auction sites for crazy amounts of money, like Britney Spears‘ already-chewed gum, Justin Timberlake‘s half-eaten breakfast and a single crumb of a Justin Bieber-branded “TimBit” from Tim Horton’s. But the latest entry into this category just may take the cake.
As captured by The Daily Mail, a listing on the clothing sales site Depop offered a pair of dried-up contact lenses for $10,000, advertising that they were “contacts that have seen Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour.”
On Twitter, fellow fans reacted in a variety of ways: Some thought it was disgusting, some thought it was crazy, and some kicked themselves for not thinking of it first.
“swifties are so unhinged, i love us so much,” one tweeted.
“Maybe I should sell my glasses that have seen Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Cher, Joan Jett, and Blondie,” someone snarked.
“Thanks for the idea im doing this after I see the Jonas brothers LMFAOO,” joked a third.
And another tweeted, “Not mad at them at all ! Personally I’d sell them individually.”
The listing was eventually taken down, with the user posting, “LMAO IT WAS A JOKE.”
Nothing But Thieves has shared a new song called “Overcome.”
The track appears on the “Trip Switch” outfit’s upcoming album Dead Club City, a concept record centered around the eponymous city.
“‘Overcome’ has always felt like a ‘throw your stuff in a bag and get away’ song,” NBT says. “Dead Club City (the city) would definitely feel enticing for someone like that. We’re all battling something, so having a song on the album that would describe why someone would want change felt right.”

Dead Club City, the follow-up to 2020’s Moral Panic, arrives July 7. It also includes the previously released song “Welcome to the DCC.”
Nothing But Thieves will launch a U.S. tour in support of Dead Club City in September.
Cole Swindell is a five-time nominee at the 2023 ACM Awards. This achievement, as big as it is, still feels surreal to Cole, whose smash hit “She Had Me At Heads Carolina” earned the nods.
“I was in disbelief,” Cole tells ABC Audio while recalling how he felt when he got the big news. “I always wondered what that would feel like. And it’s just, it’s unbelievable, you know? Especially 10 years into your career and [with] a song that is the biggest song of your career. It’s been the best, best feeling.”
“Going into Thursday night with a huge performance with Jo Dee, those nominations, I wouldn’t have all that without her and the original,” says Cole as he references Jo Dee Messina‘s timeless hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California.”
Asked which win would mean the most to Cole, his response reflects his core artistry.
“Single [of the Year] would be cool. But Song of the Year, as a songwriter, I mean, that’s always been a dream of mine,” he shares. “Who knows what will happen? But that has always been number one. I moved to town to write songs, so that would be a really special one. But hey, if I win any of them, it will be special.”

Steve Perry is one of the many artists set to appear on Dolly Parton’s upcoming rock record, Rockstar, collaborating with the icon on the Journey classic “Open Arms.”
In a post on Facebook, Perry expressed how “thrilled” he is about the excitement surrounding the record, noting, “I have been a Dolly Parton fan for years and years and to sing one of my songs with her was truly a thrill.”
He adds, “When I first got the track I could not believe how strong and amazing her voice was. I did my very best to keep up with that girl, but boy she’s got fire! And to quote her on my telephone she said ‘I think we harmonize well together, don’t you?’ And I said ‘Absolutely my dear. Absolutely.'”
Dolly’s Rockstar will be released November 17. In addition to Perry, it features a whole host of rock stars, including Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Steven Tyler, Elton John and Stevie Nicks. It is available for preorder now.
Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren is revealing a private cancer battle he has gone through for the past eight years.
The 65-year-old Swedish actor opened up about his health scare during an interview on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, telling the host that doctors successfully removed a cancerous tumor in his kidney in 2015.
Lundgren said routine scans were “fine” for five years until doctors found “a few more tumors around the area” after doing an MRI in 2020.
Six more tumors were surgically removed, but doctors later told him that one tumor had grown to “the size of a small lemon.” Side effects from therapy for it started taking a toll on his body.
Lundgren said his doctor told him to “take a break and spend more time with family … So I kind of asked him, ‘How long do you think I’ve got left?’ And I think he said two or three years, but I could tell in his voice that he probably thought it was less,” he recalled. “I thought it was it for sure.”
The Creed II star said he wasn’t “bitter” after hearing this news, as he’s had “a frickin’ great life” and has “lived like five lifetimes in one already with everything I’ve done,” but he did feel bad for his loved ones, including his two daughters, Ida and Greta, and his fiancée, Emma Krokdal.
Happily, Lundgren sought a second opinion, and his new doctor discovered a mutation in one of the tumors that opened the door to additional treatments, which started working within months.
By 2022 the tumors had shrunk by about “90 percent,” he said.
Lundgren will be seen in two big movies later this year: September’s Expendables 4, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, out December 20.
A Bob Marley classic has returned to the top of the charts, and it’s all because of the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso.
Billboardreports that the Marley and The Wailers classic “Three Little Birds” is number one on the Top TV Songs chart, after appearing in sixth episode of Lasso‘s current third season.
The episode focused on AFC Richmond and company’s free night in Amsterdam and ends with Rebecca, played by Hannah Waddingham, launching into the song, sparking a team singalong. The inclusion of the song resulted in 9.6 million on-demand U.S. streams, as well as 4,000 new downloads last month.
And that’s not the only song Ted Lasso has helped return to the chart. The Peter, Paul & Mary song “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” lands on the same chart at 10, thanks to its appearance in the fourth episode.
Pras of the Fugees is taking legal action against those who’ve shared social media posts alleging he’s an FBI informant. According to the Los Angeles Times, his attorney Jonathan Noah Schwartz sent out notification letters to representatives for 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving and Rolling Stone. He claims their statements defame Pras’ character, and caused him to lose business deals and make less revenue from his music.
Pras, born Prakazrel Samuel Michel, was convicted of various charges tied to an illegal foreign influence scheme, during which he said he communicated with the U.S. government. His testimony resulted in the allegations about him being an informant.
50 called him a “rat,” while Irving tweeted, “A whole FBI informant was in the Fugees for that long??” Rolling Stone, however, reportedly referred to Pras as “an informal FBI informant,” before adjusting it to say he “voluntarily met with FBI agents.”
“It is and was absolutely and demonstrably false for You to publish that Michel was a ‘government informant,’” Schwartz wrote to Rolling Stone. “Labeling a hip-hop artist such as Michel, the reputation of whom is dependent upon ‘street credibility’ and not being a ‘snitch,’ a ‘government informant’ most certainly tends to subject said hip-hop artist to hatred, distrust, ridicule, contempt and/or disgrace, along with injury in their trade or profession.”
Pras previously denied the informant allegations to TMZ, saying, “I was never in the past, present, or future an FBI or a CIA informant … This is not a Tekashi 6ix9ine situation.”
He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and is waiting to be sentenced.
Last year, Rod Stewart made headlines when he rented a house near his home in England in order to put a roof over the heads of a Ukrainian family of refugees. Now he’s thinking of taking in a second family.
After the war in Ukraine started, Rod and his nephews organized a convoy of trucks to bring much-needed supplies to the border and to bring back a number of refugees. He was then put in contact with a different group of refugees — a family of seven who’d escaped the war and had made it to the U.K. He rented them a house, and has pledged to pay their rent and bills for a year. On top of that, he found jobs for two other refugees on his estate.
Now, Rod tells the Las Vegas Review Journalthat he’s considering building another house just so he can take in a second family. “I’m just waiting for the Ukrainian offensive to stop this guy,” Rod says, referring to Vladimir Putin. “We can’t let him win. It’s 1939, all over again.”
During his Las Vegas shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Rod wears a blue and yellow suit, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and dedicates his hit “Rhythm of My Heart” to the people of Ukraine.
Rod recently played his 182nd show in Las Vegas, which he says is more than he’s done in any other city. However, for now he’s refraining from kicking his signature soccer balls into the audience — not only because people fight over them, but occasionally people get injured by them.
Otis Redding passed away in 1967, but his music lives on. The four Redding albums released after his death are about to come out in a new vinyl box set, along with a compilation of the albums’ 24 singles in Mono.
The limited edition Otis Forever: The Albums & Singles (1968-1970) will be released June 9 as a multicolored set, with The Dock of the Bay on yellow vinyl, The Immortal Otis Redding in silver, Love Man in green, To Tell The Truth in blue and The Singles in yellow. Only 1,000 copies are being produced and sold through Rhino.com. There will also be a six-LP black vinyl set released to retailers.
In addition, fans will be able to purchase The Singles 1968-1970 as a standalone double album. It will include such songs as “(Sittin’ On )The Dock Of The Bay,” “The Happy Song (Dum-Dum),” “Hard To Handle” and more.
