Janet Jackson shared a kiss with her 23-year-old backup dancer Darius “Dario” Boatner during a recent stop on her Together Again Tour. While some were shocked to see the viral video, others say it’s not abnormal for the singer to spice up her shows.

While transitioning into “Tomorrow 2” at Summer Jam, Cardi B used the Annie song “Tomorrow” and displayed images of Annie twerking on the huge screen. When some questioned if she was shading Ice Spice, she shut down the rumors, saying, “Cut the bulls***, please…Y’all being too messy.”

Lil Uzi Vert‘s purple dreads are back. The star debuted the look during their set at the Roots Picnic Saturday, where they announced The Pink Tape is dropping this month.

Lil Durk‘s Almost Healed album has debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200. It earned 125,000 equivalent album units, becoming his best sales week yet.

Previously released on YouTube, Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem‘s “Hillbillies” is now available on all DSPs. Behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot were shared featuring Tyler, the Creator, who also made an appearance at the birthday party for RZA, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna‘s son.

Drake attempted to give money to a streamer on KICK, but his card was declined. “Embarrassing,” he joked. “Yeah, what just happened?! Yeah, we’re just not even…”

RAYE announces new North American dates, releases “Flip a Switch” video

“Escapism” singer RAYE most recently toured the U.S. opening for Kali Uchis, but she’s just announced she’s coming back for her own headline dates.

RAYE’s My 21st Century Blues World Tour will start a North American leg September 29 in Washington, D.C., before wrapping up November 7 in Los Angeles. A presale starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time via RayeOfficial.com. The general on-sale begins June 9 at 10 a.m. local time.

Meanwhile, RAYE’s dropped the video for the follow-up to “Escapism,” “Flip a Switch.” It features her teaming up with “Players” artist Coi Leray. The clip starts with RAYE on the floor, seemingly shot to death by her boyfriend. But then time runs backward and she gets up as the bullet flies out of her shoulder.

We next see RAYE on a British double-decker bus, where she and a bunch of women, and eventually Coi, dance suggestively as they travel through the London streets. At the end, RAYE gets off the bus, points a gun at the same guy who shot her in the beginning and shoots him.

‘1923’ coming to Blu-ray and DVD August 8

The Yellowstone prequel series 1923 is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 8.

The record-breaking Paramount+ drama from creator Taylor Sheridan stars Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton and Helen Mirren as his wife, Cara, as the Dutton clan fights for their ranching empire in a changing America.

The series also stars Brandon Sklenar as WWI vet-turned-big game hunter Spencer Dutton, Julia Schlaepfer as his eventual bride, Alexandra, and Timothy Dalton as the sleazy baron Donald Whitfield.

The new release comes making-of featurettes including “Unstoppable Change: The Adventure of 1923“; “I Am the Land: Teonna Rainwater,” centering on Aminah Nieves‘ native character; “Reflecting Humanity: The Art & Craft of Editing 1923“; and “Inside the Series,” as well as other exclusive content.

Julian Lennon to host new art docuseries, ‘Inspired’

Julian Lennon is taking a stab at hosting. Variety reports the musician, son of The Beatles‘ John Lennon, will host a new docuseries, Inspired, that looks at how an artist’s creative process is influenced by their surroundings.

Each episode will have Lennon meeting with artists, helping viewers experience a location from their point of view.

“What’s so special about this series is getting to know an artist and the culture of a place through a specific lens — this unique relationship an artist has with a certain place that gets their creative juices going,” he says. “It’s a new entry point into both artist and place, which is one of the brilliant strokes of this series.”

So far there’s no word on when or where Inspired will air.

nothing,nowhere. has announced a fall U.S. tour in support of his new album, VOID ETERNAL.

The headlining outing begins September 5 in Burlington, Vermont, and comes to a close October 12 in Santa Ana, California. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 9.

Gene Simmons on why KISS is giving up the road: We’re gonna quit while “we’re on top”

KISS will finally say goodbye to the road this December when they wrap their End of the Road tour in New York City. While some fans may want them to go on forever, Gene Simmons believes it’s important for them to go out while they are still on the top of their game.

“Well, look, at a certain point Mother Nature takes over no matter what your plans are. And at a certain time, you’ve gotta have the dignity and pride but also the love and admiration of your fans to know when it’s time to call it quits,” Simmons shares in an interview with Australia’s The Sunday Project. “We’ve all seen boxers that stay in the ring too long, and we’ve all seen bands that stay on the stage too long.”

Simmons says that while he’s “still looking pretty damn good,” he realizes “the physical nature of what we do is gonna limit how long we do it, so we’re gonna quit while the quitting’s good, while we’re on top.”

Simmons also expressed how grateful he is to KISS fans, noting that “without them, I’d be asking the next person in line if they’d like some fries with that. Don’t kid yourself.”

KISS kicks off the U.K./European leg of the End of the Road tour on Monday, June 5, in Birmingham, England. They wrap the tour for good December 1 and 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A complete list of dates can be found at kissonline.com.

Lil Baby speaks out against violence during funeral for slain Atlanta teen

Lil Baby recently used his platform to address violence in the Atlanta community. While at the funeral of Bre’Asia Powell, a teen who was fatally shot at a graduation party, he delivered a eulogy in which he urged those in attendance to stop the violence.

“What I do want to say to the youth, to like a younger generation, and I’m saying it as a ‘we,’ because I’m with y’all, we gotta change,” Lil Baby said at the homegoing service, held at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, per XXL. “A lot of time when people talk it’s more so like on the males, but I’m speaking for the males and the females. The females make the young males think this and that is cool when it’s not.”

“The same girls, they ain’t gon’ be with you, they gon’ be with the opps when you go to jail,” the rapper continued. “I’m only here to not speak but like she said, we gotta come up with a plan and I’m here to help the plan.”

ABC reports Powell was at a graduation party in the parking lot of Benjamin E. Mays High School on May 28, when shots were fired and she was struck. Authorities discovered a critically injured 16-year-old on the scene, who was later confirmed to be Powell. She eventually succumbed to her injuries.

Chris Young duets with young fan onstage

Chris Young shared the stage with a special guest in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during his performance of “At the End of a Bar.”

While it wasn’t Mitchell Tenpenny, Chris did invite a young boy to join him onstage for a surprise duet. The video, posted by Chris, captured the pair joining on the chorus of his number-one hit as the crowd cheered in the background.

“Had a little help on #attheendofabar @m10penny you have competition,” Chris captioned the Instagram clip.

Fans also raved in the comments about the surprise onstage duet, with one concert attendee saying, “Amazing show last night!!! This was definitely a highlight..”

“At the End of a Bar” is featured on Chris’ latest album, Famous Friends. The project also spawned the chart-topping single “Famous Friends,” as well as “Raised on Country” and “Drowning.”

Hip-hop’s official birthday party to take Yankee Stadium, with Lil Wayne, Lil’ Kim, Fat Joe and more

Celebrations for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop are planned for throughout the year, but on the genre’s actual birthday, the party will be at Yankee Stadium. Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium will take place August 11, with performances from a variety of hip-hop stars. Included on the bill are Run-DMC, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Fat Joe and Ghostface Killah.

The show will also feature a Queen of Hip Hop segment with performances from artists Eve, Lil’ Kim, Remy Ma and Trina; a Pillars of Hip Hop portion with Kool Herc & Cindy Campbell, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Roxanne Shante, Scorpio and the Sugar Hill Gang; and a showcase featuring legendary DJs.

“I am honored to hit the stage in the Bronx, the birthplace of Hip Hop and celebrate all of my heroes,” said Run in a statement.

“Aug 11th is Hip Hop’s 50th birthday! So…’Up in the Bronx’ where it all started we will be celebrating this historic moment in history!” DMC added. “I am honored to pay tribute to the culture that allowed this little shy kid from Queens to grow up and become The Mighty King of Rock! Thank you Hip Hop!!!”

Co-produced by Mass Appeal, Live Nation and Yankee Stadium, tickets for hip-hop’s official birthday celebration are available via presale June 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET. The general on-sale begins June 9 at 10 a.m. ET.
