Queen + Adam Lambert performed at the 91st annual Academy Awards held in Los Angeles, treating the Hollywood audience to “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.”

The band attended the ceremony to support Bohemian Rhapsody, the biopic about the band’s original frontman Freddie Mercury. The film won four out of the five awards it was nominated for, the most of any other film that evening.

Bohemian Rhapsody earned star Rami Malek the Oscar for best actor and also won best film editing, best sound editing and best sound mixing. The only trophy it lost was best picture — to Green Book.

Hilary Duff is remembering her TV dad, Robert Carradine, with whom she starred on the Disney Channel show Lizzie McGuire.

Carradine died Monday at the age of 71 after a decades-long mental health battle, a representative for his brother, actor Keith Carradine, confirmed to ABC News.

“This one hurts,” Duff wrote on Instagram along with two photos of her with Robert Carradine.

“There was so much warmth in the McGuire family and I always felt so cared for by my on-screen parents. I’ll be forever grateful for that,” Duff continued. “I’m deeply sad to learn Bobby was suffering. My heart aches for him, his family, and everyone who loved him.”

Jake Thomas, who played Duff’s on-screen brother, Matt McGuire, also paid tribute to his TV dad, writing on Instagram about Robert Carradine’s death, “My heart hurts today.”

“I was fortunate to know Bobby for most of my life. And he was one of the coolest guys you could ever meet. Funny, pragmatic, sometimes cranky, always a little eccentric,” Thomas wrote, later adding, “He was a talented actor, musician, and director. But more than anything, he was family.”

Robert Carradine, who also starred in movies including Revenge of the Nerds and Coming Home, died after a nearly 20-year battle with bipolar disorder, according to his family.

Bipolar disorder is a mental illness that “causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration” that are more severe than the usual ups and downs that people experience, according to the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health.

Robert Carradine was born into the famous Carradine acting family on March 24, 1954, in Hollywood, California. His father was actor John Carradine, who starred in films including the The Grapes of Wrath and Stagecoach, and his mother was actress Sonia Sorel.

Robert Carradine is survived by his children, Marika Reed Carradine and Ian Carradine, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Edie Mani, and Ever Carradine, whom he shared with actress Susan Snyder.

Ever Carradine shared a loving tribute to her dad on Instagram, writing, “I knew my dad loved me, I knew it deep in my bones, and I always knew he had my back.”

“My dad was a lover, not a fighter. He was all heart, and in a world so full of conflict and division, I think we can all take a page out of his book today, open our hearts and feel and share the love,” she continued, in part. “I have a thousand stories and I’m being flooded with memories — so if you see me, please ask me about my dad, Bobby Carradine, who made me who I am. Rest easy, dad. I love you the most.”

And the greatest pop song of the streaming era, according to Spotify, is …
Olivia Rodrigo performs at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles, Nov. 8, 2025 (Disney/Frank Micelotta)

After putting together a list of the Classic Pop Albums of the streaming era, Spotify’s music editors have now created a list of the 100 Greatest Pop Songs of the Streaming Era. Unlike the albums list, this one is ranked.

So what’s number one? It’s Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license.” It was released in January of 2021, during a time, Spotify notes, that “the pop landscape was in a lull” because “the pandemic had stalled the development and promotion of new pop artists.”

Boosted by its love triangle backstory, the song “whipped through the pop music discourse,” Spotify writes, reminding us “what it felt like to watch a star be born in real time.”

In terms of actual numbers, when “drivers license” was released, it broke the Spotify record for most streams in a single-day for a non-holiday song, and then broke its own record the next day.

The rest of the top 10 Greatest Pop Songs of the Streaming Era, according to Spotify, are:

2. Chappell Roan – “Pink Pony Club”
3. Taylor Swift – “Cruel Summer”
4. Dua Lipa – “Don’t Start Now”
5. Carly Rae Jepsen – “Run Away With Me”
6. Justin Bieber – “Sorry”
7. Lorde – “Green Light”
8. Drake –”One Dance”
9. Billie Eilish – “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”
10. Ariana Grande – “no tears left to cry”

Other songs on Spotify’s list include Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Adele’s “Hello,” “Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” and multiple other songs by Dua, Taylor, Ed, Billie and Ariana.

(WASHINGTON) — The Pentagon announced the third seizure in the Indian Ocean of an oil tanker allegedly linked to Venezuela’s illicit oil operation that had fled the Caribbean.

“Three boats ran and now all three have been captured,” said a post from the Department of Defense on X announcing the seizure. “The vessel was operating in defiance of President Trump’s established quarantine of sanctioned vessels in the Caribbean and attempted to evade. From the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, we tracked it and stopped it. No other nation has the global reach, endurance, or will to enforce sanctions at this distance.”

The department added it would continue to “deny illicit actors and their proxies freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.”

After the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in early January, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States would continue enforcing a legal “quarantine” of illicit oil tankers transiting to and from Venezuela.

President Donald Trump said that his administration will work with private U.S. companies and the government in Caracas to expand Venezuelan oil production and exports — with the U.S. controlling the revenue of oil sales.

Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodriguez announced earlier this month that the country’s first shipment of liquefied petroleum gas had been exported to the U.S.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Taylor Swift has posted behind-the-scenes footage from her song and video “Opalite” as a thanks to fans who helped get the track to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!!” she wrote. “I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video.”

The carousel includes footage of Taylor recording the song in the studio, practicing the video choreography and admiring the ’90s outfit she wore on set.

Taylor then adds in the caption that The Life of a Showgirl is now her first album since 1989 to produce two number-one hits; it’s song “The Fate of Ophelia” also topped the chart.

“[I]t all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms,” she continues. “Seriously bouncing off the walls about this!! Just wanted to say THANK YOU, might go buy a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate, iykyk.”

That last line is a reference to a scene in the video, in which she and co-star Domhnall Gleeson go on a date to a mall and eat giant pretzels while riding the escalator. She added a pretzel, rock and cactus emoji, referring to other items that are prominently featured in the video.
