Myles Smith has been surprising fans for quite some time with last-minute announcements of free pop-up shows. But the one he did on Wednesday was particularly special, because it was in his hometown of Luton, England.

After tipping off his Instagram followers, Myles arrived in Luton to play an acoustic show in front of the Hat Factory, a venue he performed at before “Stargazing” made him a global star, as the BBC reports. Hundreds of fans turned out to greet the hometown hero.

According to the BBC, when asked what Luton means to him, Myles said, “It’s the best. I was born here, it’s full of the greatest people, I love it.” During the show he invited a 9-year-old fan to join him for “Stargazing.”

Myles’ mom, Deborah Smith, was also on hand, and told the BBC that she’s “eternally grateful” and “incredibly proud” of her son. She also said that growing up in Luton — with its “eclectic mix of nationalities, of cultures, of socioeconomic differences” — made Myles the artist he is today.

Myles wrote on his Instagram Story Wednesday, “So good to be home, thank you to the hundreds of you that turned up last minute. It’s incredible to come back to the town who made me the person that I am and I’m so thankful. I hope I made you proud.”

Given his long history of canceling and postponing shows, Morrissey pulling out of yet another gig isn’t exactly news. But the former Smiths frontman’s reason for his latest cancellation warrants a headline.

Ahead of his scheduled show in Valencia, Spain, on Thursday, a message on the Morrissey Central website was posted reading, “Having travelled for two days by road, Morrissey reached the hotel in Valencia late on Wednesday. Any form of sleep or rest throughout the night was impossible due to festival noise / loud techno singing / megaphone announcements.”

“This experience has left Morrissey in a catatonic state,” the post continued. “Before leaving for tonight’s scheduled concert, please check that the show remains possible under these circumstances.”

A follow-up post then declared, “Tonight’s scheduled show in Valencia has been rendered impossible due to sleep deprivation.”

“Morrissey drove from Milan to Valencia but has been unable to rest in Valencia due to noise,” the second post continued. “The show is not cancelled. Circumstances render the show impossible.”

A third and, so far, final post reads, “Morrissey has described his hotel on Plaza Manises as … ‘indescribable hell. It will take me one year to recover. And that is an understatement.'”

Meanwhile, the show page on the venue’s website now says that the Morrissey concert is “cancelled due to circumstances beyond the promoter’s control.” Refunds will be issued.

Morrissey is currently scheduled to play in Zaragoza, Spain, on Saturday, provided he’s able to get some shut-eye.

A new Morrissey album called Make-up is a Lie dropped earlier in March.

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground media company has joined Broadway’s revival of Proof starring Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle, who will be making their Broadway debuts. The Obamas will co-produce with Mike Posner and director Thomas Kail. “To bring this landmark play back to Broadway with Ayo, Don, Tommy, and Mike at the helm is an extraordinary privilege, and we couldn’t be more proud to be part of this production,” the Obamas said in a statement. “Proof is exactly the kind of story Higher Ground was built to champion. A play that asks profound questions about brilliance, doubt, and what we inherit from the people we love most.”

Rome Flynn, Algee Smith, Desi Banks and Siv Ngesi will play college friends on a boys trip in the upcoming action-comedy Boyz Trip. The trip “quickly spirals into international chaos, forcing them to rely on old bonds, questionable skills, and pure luck just to make it out alive,” the movie’s synopsis reads, according to Deadline. Production for Boyz Trip has already begun in Cape Town, South Africa.

Papoose targets 50 Cent in a diss track titled “Agent Provocateur.” “He was a crab in the barrel until Eminem picked him/ Made himself famous by claiming he was a victim/ His claim to fame was ‘I got shot 9 times’/ But the truth is he only got shot 5 times,” he raps on the song. It marks his second 50 Cent diss track, following “Many Men.” The two have been engaged in a back and forth since 50 poked fun at Papoose’s girlfriend, Claressa Shields, and their relationship on social media.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic One To One concerts are coming to the big screen.

The concert film Power to the People, which features the subtitle John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with Elephant’s Memory and Special Guests – Live at the One To One Concert, New York City, 1972, will screen in theaters nationwide on April 29 and May 3.

The film captures John and Yoko’s historic August 1972 concerts at Madison Square Garden, which were Lennon’s only full-length performances after The Beatles’ 1970 breakup. The concerts, which raised money for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, featured performances of songs like “Imagine,” “Mother,” “Instant Karma!” and more, as well as special guests Stevie Wonder, Sha Na Na and others.

The footage of the concerts have been restored, re-edited and remixed by a team led by the couple’s son, Sean Ono Lennon. Highlights from the concerts previously appeared in the documentary, One to One: John and Yoko, directed by filmmaker Kevin Macdonald.

“It was a concert that had a legendary status in my mind, because it was my dad’s last concert,” Sean said in a statement. “Maybe not everyone realizes how special it is for me to hear my dad talking or to see him. I grew up with a set number of images and audio clips that everyone’s familiar with. So to come across things that I’ve never seen or heard is really deep for me, because it’s almost like getting more time with my dad.”

Tickets for Power To The People go on sale March 20, which would have been John & Yoko’s 57th wedding anniversary.

A brand-new look at The Devil Wears Prada 2? Groundbreaking.

Tickets are now on sale for the highly-anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. To celebrate, there is a new spot that shows off even more about the upcoming movie.

Set to Madonna’s song “Vogue,” the teaser finds Meryl Streep back as editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. She knocks impatiently on a hotel room door that belongs to Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs.

“Pull yourself together, we have work to do. And by we, I mean you,” Miranda says to Andy.

Later in the trailer, Miranda sits at the head of a table in a board room meeting.

“And the models were encouraged to mill around like starving goats in the parking lot of a methadone clinic in New Jersey?” Miranda says. When someone in the room clears their throat in discomfort, Miranda continues, “What? What am I not allowed to say? Methadone? New Jersey?”

This teaser comes almost 20 years after Streep and Hathaway made their turns as the iconic characters in the original 2006 film. Joining them in the sequel are Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who reprise their roles as Emily and Nigel.

Also returning are Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman, who will once again play the characters Lily and Irv.

Director David Frankel, who helmed the first film, returns to direct the sequel from a script by the writer of the first film, Aline Brosh McKenna.

A new cast of characters are also coming along for the ride. They are to be played by Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will arrive in theaters on May 1.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and 20th Century Studios.

(WASHINGTON) — The UFC will host training sessions at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, this weekend, the mixed martial arts promotion and FBI announced on Thursday.

FBI Director Kash Patel has long been a UFC fan and talked about doing this type of training in one of his first calls with staff at the FBI.

“I’m thrilled to announce this historic seminar between the FBI and the UFC at Quantico,” Patel said in a statement. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth — helping the world’s premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people.”

The seminars will be on March 14 and 15 and will be led by current and former UFC fighters, including one champion, UFC said.

“I have tremendous respect for the FBI and the work they do every day to protect this country,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a statement. “Our UFC fighters are some of the baddest men and women on the planet and they are heading to Quantico to train the best FBI agents in mixed martial arts. It’s an incredible opportunity for our athletes to experience, and we’re proud to support the FBI in strengthening their defense techniques.”

UFC fighters taking part in this weekend’s training include current interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethe, the first UFC BMF champion Jorge Masvidal, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman, former UFC strawweight title challenger Claudia Gadelha, former UFC lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler, top UFC flyweight contender Manel Kape and mixed martial arts legend Renzo Gracie, the UFC said.

“This collaboration is part of an overall initiative by the FBI to provide its agents with exciting, innovative training options and to constantly look for opportunities to revamp and improve their preparation to continue to be the best of the best,” the FBI said in a release.

The FBI did not say what type of training would be conducted.

The Trump administration and UFC relationship is not new. Trump has attended multiple fights in recent years and the White House is hosting a UFC fight on the Ellipse later this year.

The White House-UFC event, which has been named UFC Freedom Fights 250, is June 14, which is also President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The event is also meant to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary.
