Chris Janson gives fans a sneak peek at the title track of his new album in a new video on social media.
“Whether I will or I won’t, probably better I don’t/ I could promise you a definite maybe/ But if wild horses is what you want/ Then saddle on up here, baby,” he sings on the uptempo track, which is set to arrive on Friday.
The full Wild Horses album drops Aug. 1 and includes Chris’ current hit, “Me & a Beer,” as well as the tracks “This Flag” and “The Bride,” which are available now.

Paul Simon has added two new shows to his current Quiet Celebration tour, and folks at home may get to experience them one day.
The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer just announced he’ll be playing McCaw Hall in Seattle in August, and he plans to record both shows.
According to a press release, the concerts are being filmed “for archival purposes and possible broadcast.” It notes that the shows “will provide a unique opportunity for audiences to become part of the Quiet Celebration tour.”
Tickets for the Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
Simon kicked off his Quiet Celebration tour in April. His next show is Wednesday at Disney Hall in Los Angeles, the final night of a five-night stand at the venue.
When Trisha Yearwood‘s new album, The Mirror, arrives on Friday, she’ll have some special guests, including Lady A‘s Charles Kelley.
Charles adds what Trisha calls an “amazing standout harmony” to the track “The Record Plays On.”
“I loved this song before he sang on it, and once he put his vocal on there, it was like, this is the benchmark,” Trisha says in a social media video that also includes a snippet of the song.
Hailey Whitters duets with Trisha on “Drunk Works,” while Jim Lauderdale appears on “The Shovel.”

With an Emmy already under his belt for the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, Kendrick Lamar now has a chance to win another. His halftime performance at the 2025 Super Bowl received four nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards, which were announced Tuesday morning.
The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Starring Kendrick Lamar earned a nod for outstanding music direction and will face Beyoncé‘s Beyoncé Bowl in the categories of outstanding variety special live, outstanding directing for a variety special and outstanding choreography for variety or reality programming.
Bey’s Netflix documentary also received a nod for outstanding production design for a variety special; it has earned a total of four Emmys nominations.
Questlove follows behind with three nominations, including outstanding directing for a documentary/nonfiction for Ladies & Gentleman…50 Years of SNL Music. His documentary about Sly Stone, Sly Lives! (Aka The Burden of Black Genius), is up for outstanding documentary or nonfiction special, and SNL Music: The Homecoming Concert is nominated foroutstanding music direction.

The Emmy nominations were announced Tuesday, with Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh earning a nod, along with projects about Sly Stone, The Beatles and Bono.
Mothersbaugh, a founding member of Devo, earned a nomination for outstanding original main title theme music for his work on Netflix’s The Residence. Although he’s made music for TV for years, this is his first Emmy nomination.
Also nominated is the Hulu Sly Stone documentary Sly Lives! (aka The Burden of Black Genius), directed by Amir “Questlove” Thompson, which was recognized in the outstanding documentary non-fiction category. Questlove also earned a nod for outstanding direction for a documentary/non-fiction program for Ladies and Gentleman…50 years of SNL Music, which charted the history of musical guests on the NBC late-night comedy show.
And several musical projects were nominated in technical categories, including the Disney+ doc Beatles ’64, Bono’s Apple TV+ documentary Bono: Stories of Surrender, the CBS special An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile, ABC’s 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction special and SNL50: the Homecoming Concert.
One rocker who didn’t get an Emmy nod was Bruce Springsteen, although he was eligible for his Hulu documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. That continues to leave The Boss one award shy of an EGOT, as he’s already won 20 Grammys, an Oscar and an honorary Tony Award.

Peter Frampton has announced a new set of tour dates.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will kick off a new leg of his Let’s Do It Again tour on Oct. 17 in New Orleans, with the nine-date trek also hitting San Antonio, Tulsa, Memphis, Atlanta and more before wrapping Nov. 2 in Hollywood, Florida.
“Let’s continue making amazing memories together,” the 75-year-old Frampton wrote next to the announcement on social media.
A presale for tickets begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
Frampton launched the Let’s Do It Again tour in April, marking his first tour since becoming a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Prior to that he embarked on what he called the Positively Thankful tour, which launched in September 2024.
Long time no see is the story of Stevie Wonder‘s life. He made that clear at a recent show following years of speculation that he isn’t actually blind.
“I must say to all of you something that I was thinking,” he said to the crowd at Blackweir Live in Cardiff, Wales, according to a clip shared to social media. “I wanted to let the world know this, but I wanted to say it right now. You know there have been rumors about me seeing and all that. But seriously, you know the truth. The truth is, shortly after my birth, I became blind.”
Stevie described how the visual impairment has ended up being a blessing in his life.
He shared, “It’s allowed me to see the world in the vision of truth. See people in the spirit of them. Not how they look or what color they are, but what color is their spirit.”
Queens of the Stone Age are taking their Catacombs tour overseas.
The “No One Knows” rockers have announced a European leg of the trek, which finds them performing “all-new arrangements crafted specifically for the occasion.” The newly scheduled shows will take place in October and will hit Italy, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and England.

The Catacombs tour is inspired by Queens’ new concert film, Alive in the Catacombs, which was recorded at the famed Catacombs of Paris. The U.S. leg runs from Oct. 2 in Chicago to Nov. 21 in New Orleans.
Queens of the Stone Age are also plotting a return to Paris, the details of which will be announced at a later date.

“Hallelujah” follows Black Veil Brides’ 2024 EP, Bleeders. The band’s most recent album is 2021’s The Phantom Tomorrow.
Black Veil Brides will be playing the upcoming Warped Tour stops in Long Beach, California, and Orlando, Florida, as well as the Louder than Life and Aftershock festivals.
Styx is doing what they can to help the victims of the flash floods that occurred July 4 in Texas.
“We are heartbroken over the devastating floods from July 4th in the Texas Hill Country,” the band wrote on social media. They note that Live Nation and Styx’s charity, Rock to the Rescue, have made a $10,000 donation to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, which will go toward those affected by the floods.
The band is also donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of their upcoming album, Circling from Above, on their website and at their shows to the organization.
Circling from Above isStyx’s 18th studio album and their first album of new material since 2021’s Crash the Crown. The album will be available for streaming and download on Friday.
