Bryan Adams is giving fans another taste of his upcoming album, Roll With the Punches, which will drop Aug. 29.
The Canadian rocker has just released the new tune “A Little More Understanding,” with an accompanying video that has Adams performing while a bevy of beautiful people dance around him.
The track has Adams singing about folks finding common ground, saying in the chorus, “So you take a walk in my shoes/ And I’ll take a walk in your shoes/ I think it’s time we choose a little more understanding.”
Roll With the Punches is Adams’ first album since 2022’s So Happy It Hurts. He’s already released several tracks from the record, including the title track, “Make Up Your Mind” and “Never Let You Go.”
Adams is set to celebrate the release with a series of intimate club shows in the U.K., kicking off Aug. 30 in Leeds and wrapping Sept. 3 in Kingston.
He’ll launch a North American tour on Sept. 11 in Kamloops, British Columbia. U.S. dates, featuring Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo as special guests, begin Oct. 25 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and run through Nov. 26 in Minneapolis.
While “Boys Don’t Cry,” that’s exactly what Olivia Rodrigo guitarist Arianna Powell did upon learning she’d be playing alongside Robert Smith.
The Cure frontman made a surprise appearance during Rodrigo’s headlining set at England’s Glastonbury Festival in June, joining the pop star for performances of “Just Like Heaven” and “Friday I’m in Love.”
In an interview with Guitar World, Powell recalls how she reacted when she was told that the onstage collaboration was happening.
“Stacy [Jones], our music director, came and told us, and was like, ‘This is very secret – you cannot tell anyone, but [Smith is] going to be joining us,'” Powell shares. “And I swear to God, I started crying. Like, I started tearing up.”
“I’m a huge fan, especially those guitar parts,” Powell continues. “I love, love, love, love, love, love, love the guitar parts, specifically in those songs, specifically ‘Friday I’m in Love.’ So I was just so stoked to get to actually play that with the artist.”
Powell adds that she spoke with Smith backstage ahead of the set, which “really inspired me and my energy for that night.”
“He was so cool,” Powell says. “He was leaving his dressing room door open for us to hang out. He wanted to talk and be social. Through conversations with him, he was just saying, ‘It’s just another show.’ And he was talking about how much he enjoys performing, and he loves it every time.”

Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has been touring with the acoustic band Saving Grace for several years, and now he’s ready to put out his first album with them.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is set to release Saving Grace on Sept. 26, which has him backed by drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, bango and string player Matt Worley and cellist Barney Morse Brown, and joined by vocalist Suzi Dian.
“We laugh a lot, really. I think that suits me. I like laughing,” Plant says of working with Saving Grace. “These are sweet people and they are playing out all the stuff that they could never get out before. They have become unique stylists and together they seem to have landed in a most interesting place.”
The album, which Plant describes as “a song book of the lost and found,” was recorded between April 2019 and January 2025. It has them covering songs by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley of Moby Grape, Blind Willie Johnson and more.
The first track released from the record is a reimagined version of “Everybody’s Song,” originally recorded by the indie rock band Low. It is now available via digital outlets.
While Plant has been touring with Saving Grace since 2019, they’re now set to bring their show to the U.S. for the very first time. They’ve just announced a fall tour set to kick off Oct. 30 in Wheeling, West Virginia, wrapping Nov. 22 in Los Angeles. A complete list of dates can be found at RobertPlant.com.
A suspect has been arrested in the murder of an American Idol music supervisor and her songwriter husband, police in Los Angeles said Tuesday, even as many questions about the slayings remain unanswered.
The victims — Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, both 70 — were found shot to death in their Los Angeles home during a welfare check on Monday, authorities said.
The suspect — 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian — was arrested at his home on Tuesday, LAPD Lt. Guy Golan told reporters on Tuesday. He said Boodarian had scaled a fence onto the property and was inside when the victims arrived home and then shot and killed them during a “violent struggle.”
It is believed the couple were killed on July 10, when the Los Angeles Police Department received two calls about a possible burglary at the address in Encino after a person was seen jumping the fence onto the property.
Officers responding to the calls that day were unable to go into the home because it is highly fortified, with 8-foot walls with spikes, police sources said earlier. Police flew a helicopter over and saw no signs of a burglary or of any other trouble and left, the official said.
However, surveillance footage later reviewed by police showed the suspect scaling the fence and then apparently entering an unlocked door, Golan said. The victims arrived home about 30 minutes later, he said.
A friend of the victims called police on Monday for a welfare check, Golan said. Responding officers saw blood on the porch and broke a window to get inside where they found the victims with multiple gunshot wounds. They both had gunshot wounds to the head, police said earlier.
The motive remains unclear, Golan said. He said the house did not appear to be ransacked.
“We’re looking into multiple avenues on what the motive may be,” he said.
Police do not believe Boodarian knew the victims and said Boodarian is not a suspect in any other burglaries, police sources said earlier.
There is no camera footage from inside the house that shows what went on, the lieutenant said.
The LAPD will look into how police responded to the initial burglary call last week to make sure it was handled appropriately, he said.
Kaye had been with the TV show American Idol since 2009, according to a spokesperson for the ABC singing competition series.
“We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
From the very beginning, Bailey Zimmerman‘s summer tour has been exceeding his expectations.
“The New to Country Tour so far has been crazier than I even thought it was gonna be,” he says. “I came out the first night in Indianapolis and they were screaming so loud. It was like buzzing my whole body. It was crazy.”
“And I thought we couldn’t beat that,” he continues. “And then I went to Michigan and it was, like, even bigger and better and louder and crazier.”
Because of that, Bailey says his “expectations are gonna be higher for every other city” on his itinerary. Of course, the “Backup Plan” hitmaker is playing his own part in whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
“I come in on a rope swing,” he explains. “There’s a bunch of stuff blowing up and pyro. It’s just like — ah, man, doesn’t get much better than that.”
Bailey’s show pulls into Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Thursday night for Country Jam USA.

Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys‘ Giants collection has run its course at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, but that is not the last time fans will get to view the exhibition.
Swizz tells ABC Audio the art collection, which features nearly 100 pieces by Black diasporic artists, will make its way to Virginia and eventually across the globe.
“It goes to Richmond, Virginia, next, which is going to be amazing with the [historically Black colleges and universities]. We’re going to do big activations,” he teases. “But then it goes around the world, like it’s on tour until like 2030.”
Giants opened in 2024 and “was designed for people to go [to] museums and see a large body of work that looked like [Black people]” and was made by Black people.
Swizz says he’d initially thought other couples of colors had created museum exhibitions, but learned through the process that he and Alicia were the first to put together a collection that would “travel to major museums.”
“We collect it for people to learn and share and want people to feel like it’s their collection also. Not just hoarded in our homes and storages,” Swizz says. “The more people can see the work, the more it works for the community, and the more it works for the arts.”
He says the reception for Giants has been groundbreaking, noting 80% of the visitors are new to museums.
“That means that we do have an entry point for people to feel welcome. When you’re walking through the exhibit, Marvin Gaye‘s playing to help you relax your shoulders and feel like you’re at home,” Swizz shares. “A lot of times you go to museums and you feel like this is some rich people’s thing and I’m not invited, but I’m kind of acting smart…You can be yourself in Giants.”
