Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch has announced the first live shows with his new band The Speaker Wars.

The group, featuring vocalist/guitarist Jon Christopher Davis, is set to play a trio of dates in Texas: Sept. 5 in Austin, followed by Sept. 6 in Houston and Sept. 7 in Dallas.

“This band has the sound of raw authority,” Lynch shares. “Once we got The Speaker Wars in a room, we locked the door and said no one’s leaving. It’s that strong, and it’s good to have my old job back.”

Davis adds, “Playin’ live with Lynch is like slippin’ on a seasoned pair of Levi’s. Smooth, effortlessly-cool, fun, trusty, perfect.”

Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

The Speaker Wars — made up of Lynch, Davis, Jay Michael Smith on guitar, Brian Patterson on bass, Steve Ritter on percussion and Jay Brown on keyboards — released their self-titled debut album in May.

Drew Baldridge‘s first new music of 2025 arrives on Friday, a duet with Emily Ann Roberts called “Get Me Gone.”

“As soon as I wrote this song, I knew it’d be a powerful duet,” Drew says. “It took me a while to find the perfect voice for it, but one day I came across Emily Ann on social media and I loved her sound. So I just hopped in her DMs and asked if she’d collab with me! It’s been amazing to work with her on this song.”

Emily Ann knew the song was “something special” from the very start.

“‘Get Me Gone’ immediately makes you think of the person you love and how you don’t need anything but them to have a good time,” she adds.

The new collab is the follow-up to Drew’s top-10 hit “Tough People” and his first #1, “She’s Somebody’s Daughter.”

Alicia Keys‘ childhood neighborhood gave her the idea for the Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen, and now the musical has inspired her new nonprofit.

The Kaleidoscope Dreams Foundation was founded in 2024 to “open doors, spark dreams, and create space” for historically underrepresented communities, according to its website.

With help from local communities and community-based organizations, KDF offers multi-disciplinary arts programming, including access to the city’s arts scene, educational enrichment, fellowships and other professional pathways, according to the nonprofit.

“[W]e are creating something that makes people and communities feel empowered, inspired and engaged. We want people to know that their stories and their voices matter, that we all belong here,” Alicia tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Our mission is to expand access to the arts, support creatives and diversify the people at the table. We can create spaces where dreams come true.”

Asad Ali Jafri has been appointed the first executive director of the nonprofit.

“We’re proud to build programs that expand access to the arts and support communities that have long been left out of these opportunities,” Asad tells THR of KDF. “We’re creating spaces where dreams can take root and thrive.”

Hell’s Kitchen is now playing at the Shubert Theatre.

Billy Joel admits he was a reluctant subject when it comes to the HBO documentary And So It Goes.

In a new cover story for People, Billy says, “I’ve resisted this kind of thing for so long. I’m sick of talking about myself.”

He notes, “My goal was to get it over with. When I do interviews, people just ask you about yourself and you get a little self-conscious about it eventually. It’s almost embarrassing.”

“I was worried, maybe I’m going to hate this thing, because it’s a lot to ask of somebody, a lifetime of work,” he says of the documentary. “[But] at the end, I didn’t hate it, which, to me, is the real compliment.”

In fact, he shares, “There was some stuff I found out about myself. There was some self-revelatory stuff.” For example, Billy says the doc’s co-director Susan Lacy helped him realize that “a lot of the things I was searching for were my father in my life, and I recognized that in the documentary.”

Billy’s father, Howard Joel, left the family when Billy was 8 years old and moved to Austria, which inspired Billy’s song “Vienna.” The two reconnected years later.

Part two of And So It Goes debuts on Friday.

Signed, sealed, delivered, Stevie Wonder is ours. It’s been over 60 years since he started his career as a musician, and he plans to continue for as long as possible.

“For as long as you breathe, for as long as your heart beats, there’s more for you to do,” Stevie told host Annie Mac on her Sidetracked podcast, debunking any rumors about him retiring. “I’m not gonna stop the gift that keeps pouring through my body.”

He added he still loves playing music and has no issue revisiting his classic hits onstage. “Songs are like children, they’re with you forever,” he said. “They are statements from the spirit within you, and singing those songs is like me taking another breath.”

Stevie released his debut album, The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie, when he was 12 years old. He’s now gearing up for an October filled with shows as part of his Sing your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart tour. Dates and more information can be found on steviewonder.net/.

After unveiling eight Lady Gaga wax figures in 2011 and seven Harry Styles wax figures in 2023, Madame Tussauds is now upping the ante, rolling out no less than 13 — naturally — figures of Taylor Swift at its museums worldwide.

The 13 figures, each modeled after one of Taylor’s Eras Tour looks, have taken 40 artists 14 months to create. The figures will be on display in 13 cities across four continents, including Hollywood, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and Nashville.

In Hollywood, Speak Now Taylor is wearing a lilac Nicole + Felicia embellished ballgown, which has been specially recreated by the designer for the new figure, and sports a blue and purple microphone.

Fearless Taylor in Las Vegas is wearing a gold-fringed Roberto Cavalli mini-dress with Christian Louboutin knee-high boots and a gold and black glitter mic.

New York has Midnights Taylor, with a multicolored tinsel jacket, midnight-blue Zuhair Murad embellished playsuit, matching garter and boots, and midnight-blue microphone.

In Orlando, Reputation Taylor wears a black sequined Roberto Cavalli catsuit with red snake detailing, with matching boots and microphone, while evermore Taylor in Nashville is wearing a floor-length Etro mustard-colored dress.

Madame Tussauds senior figure stylist Danielle Cullen says, “This is the most ambitious project in Madame Tussauds’ 250-year history which only feels right to reflect the stratospheric status of Taylor Swift.”

Miley Cyrus took the stage at an intimate Paris club for a Spotify-sponsored concert in June, and now it’s live on the streaming platform for you to listen to — and watch.

Billions Club Live with Miley Cyrus: A Concert Film is a celebration of Miley’s hits that have passed 1 billion streams, as well as a promotion for her current album, Something Beautiful. In addition to behind-the-scenes moments, it features performances of songs like “Flowers,” “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop,” “The Climb” and “End of the World.”

Miley says during the show, “So many of the songs I’ve written through brokenness, and now that I feel so whole and complete … it’s created this very beautiful mosaic that I can honor and admire.”

She said reaching the billion-stream milestone is fun “because it was unexpected,” adding that her fans are “the fire that makes it burn.”

Miley’s Billions Club concert was only the second that Spotify has ever done: the first featured The Weeknd.

Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham announce reissue of their only studio album as a duo, ‘Buckingham Nicks’

Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham announce reissue of their only studio album as a duo, ‘Buckingham Nicks’
Rhino Records

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham have finally revealed the news they’ve been teasing for days.

The former couple, and Fleetwood Mac bandmates, are set to reissue their only studio album as a duo, 1973’s Buckingham Nicks, on Sept. 19.

The album will be released digitally and on CD, with newly remastered sound. There will also be special vinyl editions released on Rhino High Fidelity audio — one limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies and one that’s limited to 2,000 copies, featuring two replica 7-inch singles. There will also be a variety of colored vinyl variants.

As a preview of the release, the track “Crying in the Night” is now available via digital outlets.

This will mark the first-ever reissue of the album, which has been unavailable for decades. While Buckingham Nicks wasn’t a commercial success, shortly after the release Mick Fleetwood heard a track from the album and was so impressed he invited Buckingham to join Fleetwood Mac. Buckingham insisted his then-girlfriend Nicks come with him, and the pair officially joined the band on New Year’s Eve 1974.

Discussing their partnership, Nicks shares in new liner notes, “[We] knew what we had as a duo, two songwriters that sang really well together. And it was a very natural thing, from the beginning.”  Buckingham shares that the album “stands up in a way you hope it would, by these two kids who were pretty young to be doing that work.”

Buckingham Nicks is available for preorder now.
