Three Days Grace has shared a new song called “Kill Me Fast,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Alienation.

“‘Kill Me Fast’ is one of my favorite songs this band has ever written,” says frontman Adam Gontier. “It’s about ripping the [Band-Aid] off. It’s a plea to someone who’s already halfway out the door, to just let you go. Don’t keep me hanging on while you figure your life out. It’s about the slow torture of not knowing where you stand. That moment when silence hurts more than the truth, and you’re begging for the cut just to stop the bleeding.”

You can watch the “Kill Me Fast” video on YouTube.

Alienation, which also includes the previously released songs “Mayday,” “Apologies” and “Dominate,” drops Aug. 22. It’s the first 3DG album since original member Gontier rejoined the band, forming a two-singer lineup alongside longtime vocalist Matt Walst.

Three Days Grace will launch a U.S. tour in August with Breaking Benjamin.

Mariah Carey has a sweet treat for fans: She’s released another new song off her upcoming 16th studio album  called “Sugar Sweet,” featuring Shenseea and Kehlani.

The song, according to a press release, combines Mariah’s “signature songwriting,” Shenseea’s “vibrant dance energy” and Kehlani’s “soothing R&B vocals.” It follows her first single from this new era, “Type Dangerous.”

Just before the song dropped, Mariah made an appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! for an interview with guest host Fortune Feimster. Mariah discussed the viral moment when she autographed Rihanna’s breast at her Christmas Time tour show in Brooklyn last December.

Feimster joked, “I hope she got that tattooed on her booby,” to which Mariah replied, “She said she was going to, but somehow I don’t think so.”

Here For It All, Mariah’s first new album in seven years, drops Sept. 26.

Tame Impala has premiered a new single called “End of Summer.”

As previously teased, the track is over seven minutes long. Its accompanying video, streaming now on YouTube, passes the nine-minute mark.

“A new era begins,” says frontman Kevin Parker. “This is the first thing I want you guys to hear. I give you ‘End of Summer.’ As is tradition, go and find your favorite sound system.”

“End of Summer” is expected to appear on the next Tame Impala album, the follow-up to 2020’s The Slow Rush. Since then, Parker collaborated with Justice for the song “Neverender,” and recorded tracks for the Barbie and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movies.

Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘Baggage’ is a ‘blissful celebration’ of where she is in life

With a title like “Baggage,” you might get the idea that Kelsea Ballerini‘s latest single is a serious song. Instead, it’s an upbeat take on dealing with some of life’s difficulties.

“It’s kind of this, not only acceptance, but like this blissful celebration of all of the things that bring you to where you are,” Kelsea explains. “And not apologizing for the messiness, or not apologizing for missteps, or not apologizing for the things that make you who you are, and as you are.”

In some ways, “Baggage” reflects Kelsea’s attitude about life these days.

“I think for me I kind of had this delicate balance as I was making my record Patterns where I was like, part of me feels a bit embarrassed about some things and part of me just wants to accept the things that have gotten me here, because I like here. Here is good,” she says. “And so this is the side of it that’s just like, ‘Let’s celebrate it.'”

“Baggage” is also one of the songs on Kelsea’s PATTERNS (Stripped Session), which you can watch on YouTube.

Queen’s Roger Taylor will celebrate his 76th birthday on Saturday, and to mark the occasion a new line of Taylor-inspired jewelry is being released.

Queen announced on Instagram that the rocker’s Taylored of London merch line is set to debut what it’s calling a “Hold Fast” range of limited-edition signet rings inspired by Taylor’s love of sailing. The term hold fast was a command sailors would use during rough weather conditions.

The line will feature two rings, designed by Manuela Gray, each featuring a different tattoo-inspired anchor. They are made from recycled silver, with a bronze disc made out of material taken from a cymbal played by the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer.

The rings are each individually numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Both rings will be available for preorder starting Saturday.

This isn’t the first time Taylor’s cymbals have been turned into jewelry. He previously released Taylored Spinner Pendants and Taylored Spinner Cymbal Rings, both constructed from one of his personal cymbals.

The Chi‘s seventh season is coming to an end. With episode 11 arriving on Friday, Jason Weaver talked to ABC Audio about how his character, Rashad, has helped him grow and become more tuned in with other Black men.

“I think one of the cool things that I’ve been able to do through that character, Shad, is have in real life more meaningful conversations with other Black men. Younger, older. Because Shad’s story is common for a lot of Black men, especially that come from underserved communities,” he says.

Rashad was introduced in season 4 as a former convict trying to do right and reintegrate into society after serving time in prison. He struggled to find a job for a while, but by season 6 secured a role as security detail for Alicia, a woman with ties to legitimate and underworld activities.

Jason notes he’s often approached by Black men who have had similar experiences, and share how the show has given them a new outlook on themselves and their situations.

“The show in some kind of way has made them feel they have a safe space to talk about their experiences and then talk to other Black men about the experiences looking for guidance and insight,” he says, noting in the past he’s only been praised for being funny or simply portraying a character.

“I’m not saying that’s bad, but I think with this show and with this character, Shad, it’s allowing me to have just more real conversations with brothers to where we both walk away from the conversation … feeling like we’ve poured into one another,” Jason says. “It’s rewarding both personally as well as professionally being aligned with this show and being able to tell these kind of stories.”

The Chi is available to watch on Paramount+ Premium.
