Cole Swindell‘s latest radio single, “We Can Always Move On,” couldn’t be any less autobiographical, since he and his wife, Courtney Swindell, are expecting their first baby any day now.

Their baby girl is expected to arrive in early August, and Cole promises songs about his daughter won’t be far behind.

“The baby songs are definitely gonna be in the future, and I’ve already got a file on my phone with some titles and stuff,” he reveals. “I can’t wait. I’m already thinking, like, ‘Who has a baby girl?’ or ‘Who’s going to wanna write this with me?'”

“That’s important, too,” he adds. “I’ve learned over the years, any ideas you think are great, you know, you save them for the right people. And there’s some great writers I’m friends with.”

Hopefully Cole will be able to get in some quality time with his new daughter before he launches his Happy Hour Sad Tour Sept. 4.

Ed Sheeran is careful to keep his two daughters off of social media, but he says it’s a struggle.

Speaking to Australia’s 60 Minutes TV show, Ed reveals he’s had some “real arguments” with people who’ll take a photo of his daughters if he’s out with them and then then won’t delete it when Ed politely asks them to. “I’m fine with taking pictures anytime,” he says. “But I just think it’s weird with a 4-year-old and a 3-year old.”

As for why he’s so protective of his children, he reveals, “It’s things that people don’t really even take into account. Like kidnap threats and s*** like that. We’ve had attempted break-ins and people coming with whatnot that I’ve found in the car and stuff like that.”

“It’s way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies,” he adds. “We have a level of security that just probably won’t change until I pass away. That’s just our life now.”

“To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad. … But I think I would definitely want a more normal life for my kids,” Ed says when asked if he’d give up his fame for some privacy.

“Like, I’ve never taken them to a zoo, for instance. … They’ve been to zoos, but just not with me. I’d love to do that sort of stuff — push them [on the swings] in a park in London without wearing a ski mask.”

Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, the album that kicked off Jeezy‘s career, is 20 years old, which calls for some reflection. He tells ABC Audio his fondest memory of release day was “the possibility of creating a new life and doing something that I was learning to love.”

“A lot of the stuff that I had been doing before then, I couldn’t see the future in it, but I knew that this was something that I could do if I really just applied myself and was very disciplined about it,” he explains. “I was just excited [about] just the possibilities of doing something legitimate that I loved.”

Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 was met with positive reviews, debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 and quickly going Platinum. It helped to define the sound of trap music and is now certified double Platinum.

“I think it was real. I think it was authentic and I think it was something that hadn’t been heard because my superpower was actually speaking in the code that the streets understood and you would have to be from that to understand that,” Jeezy says about why the album resonated with so many fans.

While he thinks the music was good, he suggests it stuck with people on a deeper level because they felt like he was talking to them.

“I think that people really understood that I was for them,” Jeezy tells ABC Audio. “It was like real music for real people just going through a real struggle that had real obstacles in their way.”

TM:101, a live symphonic reimagining of the album, is now available on streaming platforms and is being played around the world as part of Jeezy’s current tour.

Primary Wave Music

Details of the Bad Company tribute album Can’t Get Enough: The Music of Bad Company were recently released, and the soon-to-be Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band’s Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke have some pretty positive things to say about the upcoming release.

“It has been very interesting listening to other musicians interpret our songs,” Rodgers tells Billboard. “I spent time listening and found myself smiling a lot. I am quietly impressed that these artists wanted to pay tribute to Bad Company.”

The album features appearances by Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and Phil Collen, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The ConspiratorsThe Struts and more. Rodgers notes, “We are thankful that everyone played from every inch of their hearts on this release. You can hear it.”

Drummer Kirke tells the mag that it’s an honor to have all these artists cover their songs: “It means that the music has endured and has transcended multiple generations. It’s a salute to the songwriting.”

In addition to Bad Company songs, the album features a cover of Free’s hit “All Right Now.” Kirke tells the magazine it’s a “relevant and welcome inclusion,” considering he and Rodgers were both in Free before going on to form Bad Company.

“(It) kind of started the whole ball rolling, didn’t it?” Kirke says, with Rodgers adding that the song “marked the beginning of this musical life for Simon and I.”

Plus, Rodgers adds, “That song never disappoints … it still has a way of engaging people and lifting you up.”

Can’t Get Enough: The Music of Bad Company will be released on Oct. 24 and is available for preorder now.

Photos of artists including Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Nirvana will go on display as part of an upcoming exhibition held in Chicago.

Alternative Nation: A Retrospective, presented by Behind the Gallery, shows “a raw, unfiltered look at the rise of alternative music and culture from the 1990s through the early 2000s,” according to a press release.

“This show isn’t just a trip down memory lane—it’s a time capsule of a moment when music felt dangerous, emotional, and deeply human,” says Behind the Gallery founder and curator Stephen Dallimore. “Each photographer was there, trusted by the bands, and that connection comes through in every frame. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s long overdue.”

Other artists captured in the exhibition include Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Björk and Danzig.

Alternative Nation: A Retrospective will be open Aug. 15 through Aug. 20 at the Chicago cocktail bar After.

Keshia Knight Pulliam is honoring her former The Cosby Show co-star Malcolm-Jamal Warner after his tragic death.

In a touching Instagram post on Sunday, Pulliam shared a clip of Warner performing onstage at the City Winery in Atlanta, followed by footage of two young girls, believed to be each of their daughters, walking with a horse on a farm.

“A week ago I lost my big brother but I gained an angel,” she wrote in the caption. “I love you… I miss you… We got our girls.”

On her Instagram Story, Pulliam explained why it took her some time to speak out about Warner’s death.

“Thank you for every text call and all of the love that you have sent my way,” she wrote. “I’ve just needed a moment…”

Warner was 54 when he drowned last Sunday on vacation in Costa Rica.

Pulliam and Warner famously portrayed siblings Theo and Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992 and remained close friends ever since.

Just one month before his death, Pulliam appeared on Warner’s podcast Not All Hood NAH, where the pair reflected on their long-lasting friendship and the close bond between their daughters.

“She is more than my friend, she is family. Our bond goes way beyond The Cosby Show,” Warner said of Pulliam at the time. “We have both managed to navigate through the murky waters of child stardom with our souls and dignity intact.”

“He’s stuck with me for life,” Pulliam joked, calling Warner “family.”

In addition to Pulliam, other The Cosby Show co-stars, including Raven-Symoné, Geoffrey Owens and Bill Cosby, have paid their tributes to Warner following his death.

Julia Garner says Madonna biopic is ‘supposed to still happen’

Back in 2022, it was announced that Julia Garner would portray Madonna in a biopic of the Queen of Pop. The movie was then put on hold in 2023 so that Madonna could go on tour, but in 2024 Madonna indicated that she’d gone back to working on the project. So where does the film stand now? According to Garner, it’s still a going concern.

Appearing on the SmartLess podcast, Garner was asked by co-host Sean Hayes, “Were you supposed to play Madonna at some point? Is that going to still happen?” She replied, “Yeah, I mean, that’s supposed to still happen.”

Garner described what it was like to audition for the project, noting, “I kind of just wanted to see if I could do it, because I wasn’t a trained dancer, and I had to learn how to dance and then dance in front of her and convince her that I can dance, basically, and sing. And sing with her.”

To get herself psyched up for that process, Garner says she “just thought, ‘OK, what would Madonna do?’ Which is convince you that she deserves to be in this room, and I owned it. I was kind of like, ‘You can take it or leave it, but if you leave it, if I leave, then that’s on you.’ That kind of mentality.”

Asked if the project was “still brewing,” Garner said yes, but added, “But I also feel like anything that’s great … I feel like it takes a long time.”

Meanwhile, Garner can currently be seen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Eddie Murphy has shared more details about a potential new film centered on his beloved Shrek character, Donkey.

The actor spoke about the Donkey film and the upcoming Shrek 5 during a recent interview with Screen Rant.

“We’re still in the booth, and literally, we’re still doing Shrek,” Murphy said. “We start in September on Donkey — we’re doing a Donkey one, and that’ll [be released] three years from now. But we’re about two years into Shrek 5. Still in the booth and about to start Donkey in September.”

Murphy also shared some details about what fans can expect from the Donkey film.

Donkey‘s going to be like how Puss in Boots had his own movie, Donkey’s going to have his own movie — [his] own little story with his dragon wife and his kids that are half-dragon and half-donkeys. They’ve written this funny story. We’re doing that, starting that in September.”

While Murphy had spoken about a potential Donkey-centric film in the past, this marks his most substantive comments on the the subject yet.

DreamWorks has not announced a Donkey film. The Shrek spinoff Puss in Boots was released in 2011. Its sequel, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, debuted in 2022.

Shrek 5 releases in theaters on Dec. 23, 2026.

Billy Joel recently announced that he was planning to release some archival rarities that were discovered during the making of his HBO documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, and now he’s debuted his first clip.

The rocker shared a video of a May 16, 1975, performance of his now signature tune “Piano Man,” from the British television music series The Old Grey Whistle Test.

“This next song is a true story,” a mustachioed Joel says before beginning the performance. “I say that because some of the stuff I write is a pack of lies.”

More videos are expected throughout the year, including the unreleased first-ever performance of the classic hit “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant,” recorded at CW Post University, and his first TV appearance in 1972.

Billy Joel: And So It Goes is now streaming on HBO Max. As a companion to the documentary, Joel released a new digital 100-track album, also called Billy Joel: And So It Goes, on Saturday.
