Back in 2022, the BBC announced a new reality series called Home to Roost, which was set to follow Ozzy Osbourne‘s move back to the U.K. Now, following the metal icon’s death on July 22, the project has been reworked into a a standalone documentary film, Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.

A press release describes Coming Home as a “moving and inspirational account of the last chapter of Ozzy’s life, told through unique and intimate access to the whole Osbourne family,” including Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their kids Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne.

“Filmed over three years, it captures the extraordinary roller-coaster of their lives as Sharon and Ozzy attempt to complete their long-held dream of moving back to the U.K., Ozzy heroically battles to get fit enough to perform, and the family deal with the dramatic consequences of his ill-health,” the release reads.

Ozzy performed for the final time alongside his original Black Sabbath bandmates during July 5’s Back to the Beginning concert, held in his hometown of Birmingham, England.

Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home will premiere Aug. 18 on BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

In related news, the city of Birmingham has announced a plan to preserve all the flowers and tributes left for Ozzy on the streets following the public funeral procession held on July 30, and send them to the Osbourne family.

Live Nation Las Vegas

Kelly Clarkson is pressing pause on her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas amid family health issues in order to be “fully present” for her kids.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she announced on social media Wednesday night. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”

Kelly shares daughter River, 10, and son Remy, 8, with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

She continued, “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

Representatives for Kelly and Brandon did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.

Kelly, 43, had four dates remaining this month of her eponymous shows, Aug. 8-9 and 15-16.

Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency is still listed on the Caesars Palace entertainment website for the fall from Nov. 7-8 and 14-15.

The Colosseum also shared Kelly’s update on its social media pages, along with an explanation of more details to come from Ticketmaster and refund options.

Fans impacted by Kelly’s cancellations can choose to hold on to their tickets for 2026 performances. There is a 30-day window for those who prefer a refund.

“Thank you everyone for your understanding. We hope the best for Kelly and her family,” the venue stated in a caption on Instagram.

Kelly began her residency in July, though it began several days late due to her own illness. On opening night, she told the crowd, “It took us a minute. I’m so sorry … You know, we get sick, and that happens.”

Earlier this spring, Kelly also missed several episodes of her talk show, but didn’t address the absences at the time.

How Parker McCollum’s older brother set him up for success

When it comes to musical mentors, Parker McCollum didn’t have to look very far to find his.

“The biggest musical influence or teacher was really my older brother,” he says. “Phenomenal songwriter, loved really raw Americana country music songwriters when he was very young. I’m six years younger than him. So I was like a literal child.”

Tyler McCollum populated Parker’s musical world with the artists who’d become his benchmarks.

“He was giving me Steve Earl records and Traveling Wilbury[s] records and Rodney Crowell records and just, I mean, on and on and on,” Parker recalls. “He’s the one who showed me who The Band is, Exile on Main Street by the [Rolling] Stones. I mean, he was giving all those records when I was a young kid. Robert Earl Keen, James McMurtry, Hayes Carll, Todd Snider, on and on and on.”

Tyler also instilled a musical work ethic in his little brother.

“He was really, really hard on me about the integrity of songwriting at a very young age, and I really identified with that,” Parker says. “I really connected to that when I was a kid. And so nobody’s really taught me as much about songwriting and music as a whole as my older brother.”

Fresh off his third sold-out show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Parker plays the Iowa State Fair and the Crossroads 41 Festival Friday and Saturday.

Maroon 5‘s new album, Love is Like, is due Aug. 15. The first single, “Priceless,” is a duet featuring BLACKPINK member and White Lotus star LISA. Guitarist James Valentine says he thinks that “Priceless” echoes the band’s classic sound from 20 years ago, but also nods to the kind of music they’ve been doing for the past decade.

“You know, I think with that style of groove, to me it really reminds me a lot of ‘Sunday Morning,'” James tells ABC Audio, referring to their 2005 hit. “And we were really lucky to get LISA on it, which was more similar to the sort of pop extravaganza approach that we’ve taken over, say, the last 10 years. So yeah, it’s got feet in both worlds.”

While James was happy to have LISA on the track, he admits he wasn’t exactly familiar with her at first.

“You know, I was late but my wife introduced me to BLACKPINK,” he says. “And then, I was a huge fan of White Lotus. So it was exciting to be watching the show, knowing that she was gonna be on the song.”

LISA is far from the first female artist Maroon 5 has collaborated with. Over the years, they’ve done songs with everyone from Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera to SZA, Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. Why does the group make it a point to work with women so often?

“I mean, the easy answer to that is we’re five dudes,” laughs James. “So we certainly have enough of the male perspective within the band. So in collaborating, I think it’s good to reach out and broaden our perspectives.”

The Alan Parsons Project is set to reissue their sophomore album I, Robot, which was inspired by Isaac Asimov‘s science fiction stories exploring themes of artificial intelligence.

The album will be reissued in a variety of formats on Oct. 17, including a super deluxe box set with four CDs, a remastered version of the album done at Abbey Road Studios and 70 bonus tracks, 47 of which have never been released before. It also features a two-LP vinyl edition of the album, a Blu-ray featuring Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes, a hardcover book and more.

The first 500 copies of the super deluxe edition will include a print signed by Parsons.

The album will also be released on black and clear vinyl, and as an expanded CD that includes four bonus tracks.

Originally released in 1977, I, Robot landed in the top 10 on the Billboard Albums chart  and featured the top-40 single “I Wouldn’t Want to Be Like You.” According to the description that appeared on the original album, it tells “the story of the rise of the machine and the decline of man,” and serves as a “warning that his brief dominance of this planet will probably end, because man tried to create robot in his own image.”

All formats of I, Robot are available for preorder now.

BET indefinitely suspends BET Hip-Hop and Soul Train awards shows

The BET Hip-Hop Awards and Soul Train Awards have been put on pause, as the awards shows have been suspended indefinitely. Speaking to Billboard, BET President Scott Mills explained the decision was made as part of the change in leadership and the media landscape.

“I would say that it’s less about them being no longer and more about our team having to reimagine them for this changing media landscape that we find ourselves in,” Mills says. “I think what we’re going to see are more people taking franchises and saying, ‘This might have started on linear television, but now I’m going to move it to another space. Do I move it to streaming? Or do I move it to another platform?'”

He adds that the shows “aren’t gone” and notes the team is “actively thinking about where those award shows might best live as the media climate continues to evolve.”

The NAACP Image Awards and the Stellar Awards, Mills continued, currently remain active.

The Soul Train Awards launched in 1987 while the BET Hip-Hop Awards debuted in 2006. The shows were respectively known for their celebration of R&B and soul artists, and the cyphers.

Nine Inch Nails join rare ‘Billboard’ club with ‘As Alive as You Need Me to Be’ single

We can’t speak for God, but Nine Inch Nails are getting “Closer” to Billboard history.

The Trent Reznor-led outfit has become just the fourth act in history to chart on the Billboard Alternative Airplay tally in five distinct decades: the ’80s, the ’90s, the 2000s, the 2010s and the 2020s. They land on the ranking for the first time in the 2020s with their new single, “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” recorded for the Tron: Ares movie soundtrack.

NIN joins Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and Depeche Mode as the only other artists to achieve that feat. Notably, Alternative Airplay started in 1988, so there wasn’t much time to make the chart in the ’80s.

There are two other acts that have charted on Alternative Airplay in ’80s, ’90s, 2000s and 2010s that could join the five-decade club should they score an entry before the calendar flips to 2030: Beastie Boys and Jane’s Addiction. However, it seems like it might stay a four-member club, since the Beasties haven’t been active since member Adam Yauch‘s 2012 death, and Jane’s disbanded in 2024 following an onstage altercation.

NIN’s Tron: Ares soundtrack will be released on Sept. 19. While Reznor has frequently scored films alongside his bandmate Atticus Ross, the Tron: Ares soundtrack is specifically being billed as a Nine Inch Nails project.

Disney’s Tron: Ares hits theaters Oct. 10.

Music notes: Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and more

If you’re planning on bingeing the first four episodes of Wednesday season 2 just so you can see Lady Gaga make her appearance, we’ve got some bad news for you: She’s not in those episodes. Four more episodes will arrive on Sept. 3, so that’s presumably when we’ll see Gaga in her role as Nevermore teacher Rosaline Rotwood.

Erupcja, one of the many upcoming movies Charli XCX appears in, will have its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this fall. According to the festival, the movie is about “the combustible chemistry between a Polish florist and a British tourist” — Charli plays the tourist. It’s Charli’s second movie to premiere this year at Toronto — the other is called Sacrifice.

Having released two singles with country star Kane Brown, Marshmello is now teaming up with another country star with pop crossover appeal: Jelly Roll. You can hear a snippet of the Jelly-Mello collab, called “Holy Water,” on Instagram now; the song will be out Friday. “We knew this one was special from the jump,” wrote Marshmello. “Absolute [sic] honored brother,” Jelly wrote in the comments.

Ed Sheeran is releasing a new video called “A Little More” Thursday, but one of his older videos just hit 4 billion views on YouTube. “Perfect,” which co-stars actress Zoey Deutch, is Ed’s second clip to reach that milestone, following “Shape of You.”

Mickey Hart has shared his thoughts about Dead & Company’s recent three-night stand at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, writing on Instagram that it felt like “3 days of coming home.”

The three shows took place Aug. 1, 2 and 3 and celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead.

“In those final moments of the weekend, it was truly profound. I saw 60,000 people sparking light, in love, entrained big time and coming our way,” Hart writes. “Different than applause after a song, it sounded more like an ahhhhhh. All the peace and love in proximity generated a collective energy that was shared by all. Very rare stuff indeed.”

Mentioning the band’s late members Jerry GarciaPhil Lesh and Ron “Pig Pen” McKernan, Hart writes that during the shows he saw them “hovering over the crowd smiling like Cheshire Cats.”

“In the final moments of the weekend standing right next to Bob [Weir] and feeling the raw emotion coming our way from our fans, I felt Bob’s heartbeat, along with mine, and the deep connection we have with all of you,” he shared, concluding the post with, “All the years combine. They melt into a dream.”

Grateful Dead was founded in the City By the Bay in 1965 by Garcia, Weir, Lesh, McKernan and Bill Kreutzmann, with Hart and lyricist Robert Hunter joining the group in 1967.
