Oasis has shared a new live version of the Definitely Maybe song “Bring It on Down,” recorded during the band’s ongoing reunion tour.
This particular performance was captured during Oasis’ Aug. 9 concert in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Oasis has previously released live recordings of the songs “Cigarettes and Alcohol,” “Little By Little” and “Slide Away” from the reunion tour, which marks the first time the long-feuding Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have shared the live stage since 2009.
The tour will come to North America starting Sunday in Toronto.
The Pretty Reckless has returned with “For I Am Death,” the band’s first new song in four years.
“With ‘For I Am Death,’ I want the music to speak for itself, allowing the listener to decide what it means to them,” says frontwoman Taylor Momsen. “The interpretation of the song might align with my own, or it might come from the heart of the audience. Either way, I’m excited to see what people take away from it and what it means to them.”
She adds, “Oh, and rock and roll will never die.”
You can watch the video for “For I Am Death” on YouTube.
“For I Am Death” follows The Pretty Reckless’ 2021 album, Death by Rock and Roll. A press release describes the song as “the beginning of what promises to be a powerful, unpredictable ride through the band’s latest chapter of artistic exploration.”
Along with getting back in the studio, The Pretty Reckless has been opening for AC/DC‘s world Power Up tour.
Bryson Tiller has been on the road as part of Chris Brown‘s Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour, and he says it’s been quite the learning experience. He sang CB’s praises while a guest on the New Rory & Mal show.
“Man, I’ve learned so much from Chris just being on this tour. He’s such a great human,” Bryson said of Chris. “He really loves this s***.”
“He gives it 150 percent. I be waiting, like, ‘What day is he gon’ have a bad show?’ He [doesn’t] have bad shows. Maybe sometimes the audio’s a little f***** up and he can’t hear himself,” he continued. “When he gets on that stage, he does his thing.”
Bryson admits that CB’s performances sometimes add pressure and make him nervous when it’s time for him to open the show. “For me, sometimes I get out there and the crowd’s just kind of like dead, just not giving a f***,” he said. “I’m just like, ‘Oh s***, I’m a little nervous now.’”
Still, he notes the Breezy Bowl tour has surpassed all other treks he’s been on, including his own.
Bryson also discussed what led to his decision to sign with RCA Records over Drake‘s OVO Sounds.
“The only reason I didn’t sign [to OVO] is just because bro didn’t hit me back one time,” Tiller explained. “This was in a moment when my label, like, they was hounding me, they was flying me, they was trying to get me away from Drake.”
He continued, “I’m not saying that he didn’t want me to sign or whatever, but at that moment, like, I had a kid; people back home that’s looking at me like, ‘Is he gonna do it? Is he gonna make it?’ So I had to go with what was the most sure shot.”
The Away From Home Festival (Courtesy AEG Presents)
Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has been curating an event called The Away From Home Festival for the past few years, and this fall he’s bringing it to the U.S. for the first time.
The tour first took place in Louis’ native U.K. in 2021, followed by Spain in 2022, Italy in 2023 and Mexico in 2024. This year the festival will take place in Cooperstown, New York, and will be a two-day event for the first time, running Oct. 4 and Oct. 5. Louis will headline, along with Lauv. The lineup also includes Plain White T’s, Daya, Steve Aoki, Pale Waves and Dirty Blonde.
Having the Plain White T’s on the bill is somewhat of a full-circle moment: When Louis auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, he sang their hit “Hey There Delilah” and got three yeses from the judges, making it through to the bootcamp round.
Louis says in a statement, “I’m so excited to be bringing Away From Home to the U.S., and for the first time, a two day festival! Really honored and grateful to have such a strong line-up over both days, got a few things up my sleeve too. Can’t wait to see you all there, it’s going to be special!”
A presale for tickets starts Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. ET, and the general sale begins Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. ET. Hotel options via Crewfare are available as well, and you can find out about camping options at awayfromhomefestival.com.
Patti Smith’s debut album, Horses, is turning 50 this year, and to celebrate the album is being reissued with some added extras.
Legacy Recordings is set to rerelease Horses as a two-LP and two-CD set on Oct. 10. It will feature a remastered version of the album, along with previously unreleased outtakes and rarities. The bonus material includes eight never-before-released songs, which include Smith’s 1975 RCA audition tape.
And one of those never-before-released songs is the track “Snowball,” which is now available via digital outlets.
Smith is set to head out on tour celebrating Horses’ milestone anniversary beginning Oct. 6 in Dublin. The tour hits the U.S. starting Nov. 10 in Seattle and wraps Nov. 29 in Philadelphia.
Released in November 1975, Horses was a huge hit with critics and landed in the top 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. It has appeared on several lists of the greatest albums of all time, and in 2009 it was chosen by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Recording Registry.
Amidst a tour and the continued rollout for Chromakopia and his surprise album Don’t Tap The Glass, Tyler, The Creator has another announcement: the lineup for his Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival.
He’ll be taking the stage at the 2025 event, which will also feature performances from Tems, T-Pain, Childish Gambino, Doechii, A$AP Rocky, Clipse, 2 Chainz, Larry June and The Alchemist. The full lineup is available via a word search puzzle found on the Camp Flog Gnaw website.
The carnival, produced with Goldenvoice, is slated to go down on the Dodger Stadium grounds on Nov. 15 and Nov. 16.

Artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains‘ William DuVall have shared tributes to late Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, who died Wednesday at age 51.
“Rest in Peace Brent Hinds,” QotSA writes. “With love & respect. See you on the other side old friend.”
“Oh man, we’ll all miss you, Brent,” Soundgarden says. “Peace & love to you, your family, friends, colleagues, and to your long time Mastodon brothers, [bassist] Troy [Sanders], [guitarist] Bill [Kelliher] & [drummer] Brann [Dailor].”
DuVall, who played with Hinds in the band Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, adds, “This has knocked the wind out of me. RIP to the great Brent Hinds.”
Hinds was a founding member of Mastodon and played alongside the unchanging lineup of Sanders, Kelliher and Dailor for 25 years before parting ways with the metal outfit in March.
Mastodon announced Hinds’ death Thursday, saying he “passed away as a result of a tragic accident.”
“We are in a state of unfathomable sadness and grief,” they added.
A press release from the Georgia’s Fulton County medical examiner says Hinds died Wednesday of multiple blunt force injuries. The Atlanta Police Department had reported that a man driving a motorcycle Wednesday night was killed in a crash with a BMW SUV that failed to yield.

System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian has released a new solo song called “Electric Dreams.”
The track will appear on an upcoming compilation called Covers, Collaborations & Collages, due out Oct. 24. As Tankian explains, the set consists of “pre-existing archival recordings, some of them from way back.”
“I wanted to put out a record of collaborations I haven’t released before, along with covers, which I haven’t done,” Tankian shares. “The rest, the collages, are parts that fit the puzzle in the same tone, the same vibe.”
“Electric Dreams” is out now via digital outlets. Tankian will put out one song from Covers, Collaborations & Collages each week leading up to its official release.
Covers, Collaborations & Collages follows Tankian’s 2024 solo EP, Foundations.
System of a Down, meanwhile, will launch a run of stadium concerts starting Aug. 27 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Kings of Leon and Zach Bryan are jamming together once more.
After collaborating with the country star on the song “Bowery,” the “Use Somebody” rockers have released a second track alongside Bryan, “We’re onto Something.”
You can listen to “We’re onto Something” now via digital outlets, and watch its accompanying video streaming now on YouTube.
In addition to teaming up in the studio, Kings of Leon opened for Bryan at his shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Those gigs marked KoL’s first live shows back after frontman Caleb Followill was sidelined due to breaking his foot in May.
The most recent Kings of Leon album is 2024’s Can We Please Have Fun.
