Mariah Carey has performed on stages all over the world, but on Sept. 17 she’ll be singing a very unusual place: the Amazon rainforest.

Mariah is part of a concert called Amazônia Live – Today and Always, which is set to take place atop a floating stage on the Guamá River in Belém, Brazil, a city known as the “gateway to the Amazon.”

The concert, produced by the team behind the Rock in Rio concerts, is designed to raise awareness about how important it is to preserve the rainforest. For one thing, according to the organizers, it’s an important step in reducing carbon emissions. A documentary will capture the event, as well.

The event will take place a week before Mariah releases her new album, Here For It All.

BIA has announced she’s releasing some new music. Named after birth name, Bianca, her first full-length album will arrive on Oct. 10.

Jake Worthington’s ‘When I Write the Song’ (Big Loud)

Jake Worthington‘s sophomore album arrives Friday, containing one of the more memorable country song titles of all time: “Hello S***** Day” with Miranda Lambert.

That’s not the only star-studded collaboration on the 14-track When I Write the Song, either. Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart joins him on “I’m the One,” while newcomer Mae Estes duets on “I Feel You.”

“It’s a reminder to fight the good fight,” Jake says of the project. “I’m a strong believer in ‘do what moves ya.’ Make the kind of music that wrecks your world or picks up all the pieces. If it makes you feel that kind of way, and if that’s what you need, then don’t let anybody or anything change that. That’s what this record is to me.”

Fans may remember Jake as the runner-up on season 6 of The Voice in 2014, where he was a member of Blake Shelton‘s team. These days, he’s busy on tour with Jon Pardi and Zach Top.

You never know what you’re going to get on Justin Bieber‘s Instagram feed.

On Wednesday, the SWAG artist posted photos and videos of himself riding on a Segway wearing just a pair of tighty-whities. It’s not clear when Justin went for the ride down the wooded road — on Monday he also posted a photo of himself in his undies, hanging out with friends. In the past he’s posted photos of himself going swimming in his underwear.

While most fans seemed to enjoy the thirst trap, one wrote in the comment, addressing Justin’s wife, “Hailey, take the phone away from your husband.”

But Justin also did a different kind of stripping down, posting no less than seven different videos of himself in a karaoke room alone singing various tracks from new albums SWAG and SWAG II, including “Things You Do,” “All the Way,” “Speed Demon” and “Go Baby.”

Fans praised Justin for letting them hear his “raw live vocals,” and others wondered if the singer is prepping for a tour in support of his two albums. One wrote, “Plz go on tour, I have adult $$$ now.” But another fan warned, “you all should know a tour will burn him out mentally.. we don’t need a tour we need Justin to be happy and healthy.”

Justin’s last tour, the Justice World Tour, started in February 2022 but was postponed, and later canceled, after 49 shows while Justin prioritized his health.

Luke Bryan‘s last official concert of 2025 is Oct. 4 in Ocean City, Maryland. But if you’ve got a little cash to throw around, you can see a Luke Bryan show like no other.

The “Country Song Came On” hitmaker’s set to play Music Health Alliance’s annual Coulda Shoulda Woulda fundraiser Oct. 22 at Cannery Hall in Nashville.

Subtitled “Stories & Songs to Heal the Music,” it’s “an intimate evening of stories and songs that ‘coulda, shoulda, and woulda’ made it to the airwaves.” Songwriter Liz Rose came up with the concept, having written hits like “Teardrops on My Guitar” and “You Belong with Me” with Taylor Swift, as well as Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush.”

Since it’s the nonprofit’s “signature fundraising event,” it’s not cheap to attend. A table for 10 guests starts at $2,500 and goes up from there. You can find out more online.

Music Health Alliance provides free health care support to professionals in the music business.

Alex Warren celebrates 1 billion streams of ‘Ordinary’

Alex Warren (Jack Dytrych)

After topping the U.K. singles chart and the Billboard 100 chart for weeks, Alex Warren‘s inescapable single “Ordinary” has finally reached the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify — his first song to do so. The MTV VMA best new artist took to his Instagram Story to share his feelings about the milestone and to thank his fans.

“I released this song 7 months ago and I never thought this would happen,” he writes. “I wrote this song about falling in love and how no one does in this generation, I wrote it for my wife.”

“I’m so happy that out of all my songs this was the first to do it,” he says of hitting 1 billions streams. “Just thank you thank you thank you. 12 year old me is definitely smiling and I know my parents are too. I love you guys.”

Both of Alex’s parents have passed away; his father when he was a kid and his mom in 2021, from complications due to alcoholism. Alex frequently jokes about how he’s become famous for “singing about my dead parents”; many of his songs, including one of his current singles, “Eternity,” are inspired by their absence in his life.

Turnstile is the latest artist to reimagine their songs for NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series.

The Baltimore rockers performed five tracks during their performance — “Dreaming,” “Sunshower,” “I Care,” “Never Enough” and “Birds” — all tracks from their latest album, Never Enough, which was released in June.

And even in the tiny space, the band really got into their performance. Frontman Brendan Yates jumped off the desk during “Birds” and executed what NPR says is the first-ever Tiny Desk stage dive. He even got in a little crowd surfing.

Turnstile is getting ready to kick off The Never Enough Tour, featuring SPEED and Jane Remover, with special guests Amyl & The SniffersBlood Orange and Mannequin P**** performing on select dates. The tour begins Sept. 15 in Nashville. A complete list of dates can be found at turnstilehardcore.com.
