Legendary rock band Led Zeppelin will be the subject of a new photo exhibition in Los Angeles.

It’s Been a Long Time will feature never-before-seen Zeppelin photos from the archives of music photographer Jeffrey Mayer, including concert and backstage images from the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers’ first tour.

The exhibition is set to open Sept. 26 at Eye For Sound Gallery, which is owned by System of a Down lead singer Serj Tankian.

In addition to the archival photos, Mayer has teamed with graffiti writer and mural artist Marcel ‘SEL’ Blanco to reinterpret five photos as part of SEL’s Sonic Remix Series featuring his “signature LA Street Art Style.”

“Excited to be exhibiting these rare and powerful photos of an iconic band such as Led Zeppelin at Eye For Sound,” Tankian says. “As a musician and artist myself, seeing these great moments in rock immortalized on our gallery walls is always a treat.”

The exhibition will be open to the public and run through October. Some of Mayer’s photos will be available for purchase for the very first time. Images from the Sonic Remix Series will also be available, along with official Led Zeppelin T-shirts.

Welcome Home, indeed: Coheed’s Claudio Sanchez recalls writing ‘Good Apollo’ hit’s riff at parents’ house

Coheed and Cambria‘s 2005 album, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, turns 20 on Saturday. Coming off the band’s previous album, 2003’s In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, which spawned their first radio hit in “A Favor House Atlantic,” frontman Claudio Sanchez remembers being “met with real feedback from the label” for the first time with Good Apollo.

“When we got signed to the label, they were just like, ‘Let them do what they do, they’re kind of an oddity, that’s working for them, let them go with it,'” Sanchez tells ABC Audio. “But then it came time to [pick] the single, and we as a band — we had a strong opinion that ‘Welcome Home’ should be the single, and the label had chosen ‘The Suffering.'”

As Sanchez explains it, “Welcome Home” got a soft launch before “The Suffering” was released as an official single. While “The Suffering” was successful and has remained a staple of Coheed’s live show, they were right to believe in “Welcome Home,” which has become one of their signature songs and their go-to closer.

“Welcome Home” is known in particular for its epic opening guitar riff, which has a very humble origin story — Sanchez first came up with it while living in his parents’ house.

“I was in the kitchen area, and I had an acoustic guitar, and I think I was in my boxers,” Sanchez says. “I was just fooling around, and I came up with that riff into the verse area and started to hum a melody. I just remember being so thrilled and so excited.”

“As I’m, like, losing my mind, I’m like, ‘This is awesome,’ my mom comes [in],” he laughs. “I was so embarrassed!”

Charles Kelley ‘Can’t Lose’ sleep over his new baby son

Charles Kelley and his wife, Cassie Kelley, welcomed their second child, son Archer Lancaster Kelley, on Sept. 16. He joins big brother Ward Kelley, who’s 9. The “Can’t Lose You” singer told ABC Audio that because he and Cassie have been parents for almost a decade, they’re prepared for at least one aspect of having a baby in the house again.

“The hardest thing with Ward was, you know, we were so used to sleeping in till, like, 9, even 10 [a.m],” Charles explained. “But now we’re kind of used to functioning on a little less sleep. So I feel like that’s going to be easier. But we also, y’know [are] not quite as, uh, energetic and agile as we were 10 years ago.”

In addition to his solo career, Charles is a member of “Need You Now” country group Lady A; his bandmate Hillary Scott just welcomed a new baby in July. While Lady A has a holiday tour coming up in December, and Charles has a few solo shows, he says overall, he and the group are lucky they’re able to take time off to be with their new additions.

“I just think I’m in such a settled place, you know, and even as a band, you know, we’re able to like prioritize family so much more and be like, ‘hey, we’re not going to go on the road too much right now,'” says Charles.

“And so the fact that I’ll actually have a couple of months to kind of breathe and just enjoy this baby before we start the Christmas tour is going to be great,” he adds.

P.O.D. is releasing a new cover, but you’ll need to do some digging to figure out which song.

The “Youth of the Nation” metallers have shared a video seemingly depicting the name of the song they’re covering in Morse code.

The code appears to translate to “Don’t Let Me Down,” and the video ends with an image of a bug popping up in the corner. That certainly suggests that P.O.D. will be putting their spin on the Beatles song “Don’t Let Me Down.”

We’ll find out for sure when the cover officially drops on Sept. 25.

P.O.D.’s most recent album is 2024’s VERITAS.

Solange revealed that she was a co-music supervisor for Issa Rae‘s HBO series Insecure. She shared the news on X in response to a person who said Insecure was one of the shows that would “just randomly start playing the best song you’ve ever heard in your life.” “waiittt [this] was a dream jobbbb,” Solange wrote, noting she served as co-music supervisor for the first two seasons.

Denzel Washington has accomplished a lot in his lifetime, including winning Academy Awards, Golden Globes, a Tony Award, and securing Emmy and Grammy nominations. But that’s not how he wants to remembered. In a conversation with Spike Lee, he says he wants people remember him as “a man of faith, a man of God, a human who’s made a ton of mistakes, a humble man, God-loving, wife-loving, children-loving, who did the best he could with what he had.”

Babyface has released a new song that is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix film Ruth & Boaz. He wrote, recorded and produced “Faithful,” which Serayah sings in the film. The song also appears in the end credits of Ruth & Boaz, in which Babyface makes an appearance. “Faithful” is now available on YouTube but will become available on DSPs Friday. Ruth & Boaz and its accompanying soundtrack will premiere on Sept. 26.
