Cardi B‘s relationship with Offset may not have gone like she wanted, but she says it wasn’t a waste of time. Speaking with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cardi says her marriage was one of the many experiences life has brought her way.

“Even in the long marriage that I was in, there’s a lot of things that I regret and there’s a lot of things that people are gonna be like, ‘You see, you wasted your time,’ but I don’t feel like it was a waste of time,” she says. “I actually see what comes with being a wife, being a mom, so I experienced that. It’s like, I have to experience pain. I have to experience good times. I have to experience what it was like to have a family, to be a wife.”

Cardi married Offset in 2017 and filed for divorce in 2024; their divorce is not yet finalized. Cardi tells Cooper she spent months separated from Offset before she decided to call it quits.

“There has been moments that is like, I wouldn’t see a motherf***** for two, three months. We’re not in the same house,” she says. “But if you’re not ready to leave, you’re just not ready to leave.”

She is now pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs, who she says would  contact her “at the right time.”

“He almost hit me up at the times that I felt uneasy,” Cardi says. “I’d be like, ‘I don’t know if I should deal with this person ’cause I know this person, he’s a little hot, but I’m gonna talk,’ and then we had really good conversations. … Even when we wasn’t talking, I was like, ‘I need to talk to this person. I’m talking to this person every day.'”

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford got married to his longtime partner, Thomas Pence, in 2024, and in a new interview he shares that it’s something he’s been wanting to do for years.

During part two of Halford’s appearance on Jake Shear’s Queer the Music podcast, Halford reveals that he would often ask Thomas to get married but would always get turned down. It wasn’t until Thomas asked that they finally wed.

“I stopped asking … just sort of, ‘Let’s get married.’ ‘No, I don’t wanna get married.’ ‘Oh, let’s just get married. We’ve been together forever.’ ‘No, I don’t wanna get married,'” Halford says of his proposals. “And then suddenly on one of our night walks, he goes, ‘I think we should get married.'” Halford says after that he went “straight home” and called a pastor.

As for the wedding itself, Halford says, “It was obviously me and him and an officiant, as they call them, who are legalized to marry people,” noting they were also joined by their friend Jim Silvia, who is Judas Priest’s tour manager, and his wife.

“There was just four of us around the pool, around the cactus, the heavy metal cactus,” he says. “And it was over in an instant. But it was just a beautiful, simple ceremony.”

Halford says it’s up to people to decide for themselves whether marriage is important, but for him and his husband, it’s “just a nice thing.”

“It seems like you’ve completed something in your relationship, more than anything else,” he says. “The commitment goes to another level when you get married. It’s a great thing to do. And if it doesn’t work, that’s life. But I think after being together for 35 years, it’s working.”

Pentatonix has gifted fans with the news of a new holiday album.

Christmas in the City, the group’s first release on their new label, Republic Records, will arrive Oct. 24. A new single, “Bah Humbug,” is out now. In a statement, Pentatonix member Mitch Grassi says of the original tune, “This song tells the story of A Christmas Carol in a really fun, theatrical way.”

He adds, “What I love about this arrangement is that we are all featured individually, and get our moments to let our ‘characters’ really shine. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song tell this particular story in such a succinct, creative way!”

Pentatonix will release an exclusive Vevo live performance of the new song Thursday.

The new album features holiday favorites with new original music. According to a press release, it “celebrates the magic of Christmastime in New York.”

Pentatonix’s Christmas in the City tour starts Nov. 8 in Utah and wraps up in the group’s hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, on Dec. 22. The group’s Scott Hoying may or may not be on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars at that point; if he hasn’t been eliminated, he’ll have to pull double duty appearing on tour and on the show.

She will make stops in Birmingham on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, before making her way to Phoenix on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25. The final dates will take place in Chicago on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

“Women are holding so much beneath the surface emotionally, spiritually, and silently,” Campbell says in a press release. “We don’t just need motivation. We need moments that minister and bring us to healing and wholeness in Christ. A place to exhale, tools that restore hope, and a reminder that we are deeply seen, deeply loved, and never alone. That is the heartbeat of Laugh, Cry, Heal.”

She also announced the lineup for the event, featuring a mix of therapists, clinical experts, artists and cultural voices. The lineup includes relationship expert Love McPherson, gospel artist Lena Byrd Miles, pastor and life coach Adrian Lindsey and Campbell’s sister, confidence coach GooGoo Atkins.

Campbell says she curated the lineup with intention, featuring “women with a passion for healing inside and out, and a powerful male voice to stand alongside them.”

“Together, they represent truth-telling, emotional depth, spiritual grounding, and joy,” she says in a press release. “They speak to our real lives, not just our highlight reels. This is who I trust to help us laugh, cry, and most importantly, heal.”

Florence + The Machine have released “One of the Greats” from their new album, Everybody Scream. That’s not subjective — that’s the actual name of the song.

Florence Welch explains in a statement that the song is “sort of a long poem about the cost of greatness: Who gets to decide what that is? Why do I even want it?”

In the song, Welch sings about literally coming back from the dead to “show you what it takes/ To become one of the greats.” She also describes her ambivalence about fame, singing, “Got everything I thought I wanted and cried hungover in a hotel closet.”

Welch says in the statement, “I feel like I die a little bit every time I make a record. … Yet I always dig myself up to try again, always trying to please that one person who doesn’t like it, or finally feel like I made something perfect and I can rest.”

She notes, “Early in my career, I was consistently ridiculed and derided for the bigness of my expression. I was thrust into the spotlight but also told again and again I didn’t deserve it, or that because it wasn’t to their taste it wasn’t good. So maybe this is a 15-year outpouring of frustration. But also, a lot of the lines I just left in because I thought they were funny.”

Among those funny lines: “It must be nice to be a man and make boring music just because you can.”

Welch co-wrote the song with Mark Bowen of fellow U.K. rockers IDLES; it was produced by Aaron Dessner. Welch says, “I wanted it to feel like you were disintegrating into nothing at the end. Which is sometimes what the creative process feels to me.”

Everybody Scream is out Oct. 31.

Darius Rucker is joining forces with R.E.M.’s Mike Mills and The Black Crowes‘ former drummer Steve Gorman for a new supergroup, Howl Owl Howl.

The group formed in 2021 out of a casual jam session between the three longtime friends, with a press release noting that session turned into “something unique.” As for the sound, Howl Owl Howl “fuses organic roots rock with an open-minded alternative flair, matching a fluid, feel-oriented rhythm section to the barrel-chested vocal rasp of an iconic frontman.”

“It feels great to be singing with a rock band again. It’s like buddies getting together, but also getting to play with your idols,” Darius shares. “The stuff we’re writing is so different than anything I’ve tried to do before.”

Mills adds, “You never can explain band chemistry. We all like each other. And we all admire each other musically. All those things come together and if it weren’t fun, we wouldn’t be doing it.”

Music fans will get their first experience of Howl Owl Howl when they release their debut track, “My Cologne,” on Oct. 31.

They are also planning to hit the road for the nine-date Howl Owl Howl tour starting Nov. 3 in Indianapolis. The tour wraps Nov. 15 in Athens, Georgia, which is the birthplace of R.E.M. A complete list of dates can be found at howlowlhowl.com.

Of course, Darius’ band, Hootie & the Blowfish, currently has a #3 country hit with Scotty McCreery and “Bottle Rockets,” which features the band singing their 1994 smash “Hold My Hand.”

Clipse have been tapped as headliners for the 2025 Pepsi Philly Eats Fest, an event celebrating the city’s best bites. They will take the stage as part of a lineup featuring Ari Lennox and Philly’s own Freeway, as well as appearances from members of the Eagles franchise.

Pepsi Philly Eats Fest is slated to take place at Eakins Oval on Oct. 4 and serves as Clipse’s thank-you to Philly, one of the cities that has supported them since the start of their career.

“Philly was one of the first cities outside our own to show us real love when we were coming up, and we’ve never forgotten that,” Pusha T and No Malice said in a press release. “The energy is unmatched, from the music to the food to the people. That’s why we’re excited to be part of Pepsi Philly Eats Fest, celebrating the flavors and fans that make this city special.”

The event will follow Clipse’s history-making moment at the Vatican for the Grace of the World concert, where they became the first rappers to perform at the location. They took the stage alongside John Legend and an orchestra for a live rendition of “The Birds Don’t Sing” off their latest album, Let God Sort Em Out.
