An original white label 7-inch test pressing of Queen’s 1975 classic “Bohemian Rhapsody” sold for close to $12,000 during the annual White Label Auction to benefit the Brit Trust.
White label test pressings are made so artists, managers and labels can listen to the audio ahead of a single’s release. Usually only a few are produced.
This year marked the fifth annual White Label Auction, and prior to this year’s lot the auctions have raised over $215,000 for the music industry charity, which was established in 1989 to “improve lives through the power of music and the creative arts.”
This year’s auction also included white label pressings from The Beach Boys, Dire Straits, Genesis and Eric Clapton.
“Bohemian Rhapsody,” written by Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, was featured on their album A Night at the Opera. It hit #1 in the U.K. and was Queen’s first chart-topper. The song was rereleased in 1991 following Mercury’s death and returned to the #1 spot.
Queen is set to revisit A Night at the Opera with a set of vinyl reissues dropping Oct. 17. In addition, on Oct. 31 “Bohemian Rhapsody” will be released on transparent blue heavyweight 12-inch vinyl, as a 12-inch picture disc and as a blue cassette single.
Zach Bryan recently sparked controversy after sharing a clip with new music that mentions U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
The singer-songwriter made headlines over the weekend after sharing the clip on his official Instagram account Friday. The lyrics in the audio clip reference ICE raids, as well as the police.
“Didn’t wake up dead or in jail/ Some out of town boys been giving us hell/ I got some bad news/ I woke up missing you,” Bryan sings in the clip. “My friends are all degenerates, but they’re all I got/ The generational story of dropping the plot/ I heard the cops came/ cocky motherf******, ain’t they.”
He continues, “ICE is gonna come bust down your door/ Try and build a house no one builds no more/ But I got a telephone/ Kids are all scared and all alone.”
The clip concludes, “The bars stopped bumpin’/ The rock stopped rolling/ The middle finger rising, and it won’t stop showing/ Got some bad news/ The fading of the red, white and blue.”
Echoing the final lyrics, Bryan captioned the post, “The fading of the red white and blue.”
The clip was posted as President Donald Trump‘s administration continues its immigration crackdown across the country, with ICE carrying out a series of immigration raids in cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Bryan’s lyrics have split the internet, with some celebrating them, and others criticizing the Grammy winner and U.S. Navy veteran.
Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, reacted to Bryan’s new audio clip on X, writing, “Stick to Pink Skies, dude,” a reference to Bryan’s hit song “Pink Skies,” from his 2024 album, The Great American Bar Scene.

Justin Bieber has a message to share: “Not everything sucks.”
That is what’s written on the mirror over the bar in the Abandon Ship pub in Dundee, Scotland, where Justin shot the video for “Bad Honey,” from his latest album, SWAG II. Justin is seen in the clip holding a beer and wandering around the empty pub.
According to the BBC, Justin was recently in Scotland playing golf. On Saturday he went to the bar and asked if they had any DJ equipment. Rae Wright, the bar manager, told the BBC, “He put his speaker on, set the place up, put a couple of lights on and then he just started filming.”
Wright added that she wasn’t sure if it was the singer at first, explaining, “I’m used to the ‘Baby’ Justin Bieber with the hair flick and stuff, but obviously I’ve followed him a little bit. But no one walks around Dundee in a green beanie looking like that. And then my manager gave me the side eye that said, ‘No this is really the Biebs.'”
Wright confirmed that Justin was “lovely” and “chatted to the bar staff like we were actually people, which a lot of people don’t seem to do.”
Photographer Rory Kramer, who shot the video, wrote on Instagram, “Shot this impromptu video when we went out in Scotland the other night. Then Justin and I cut the video together on the flight home.”

Tyler, The Creator attended the Marty Supreme screening at the New York Film Festival Monday night and expressed gratitude to director Josh Safdie.
“Thank you to you, Josh. Please make the biggest noise for this man. I’m so grateful, beyond grateful,” Tyler said in a clip posted by the nonprofit Film at Lincoln Center. “I play piano and put on cool clothes. I do not act at all. And this man is so good that I trusted him and said, ‘Anything you need. I don’t want to read this script, I will show up and be there. Because I trust this man.”
He continued, “And the team, working with y’all, it was so wonderful. I got emotional up there because you gave me a chance, so I thank you, I love you, and thank you. Please give it up.”
Loosely inspired by the story of Marty Reisman, Marty Supreme follows Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) on his quest to become a champion table tennis player. Tyler takes on the role of his partner-in-crime Wally, marking his feature film debut.
Marty Supreme also features Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’zion, who attended Monday’s screening, as well as Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher.

Before he became the frontman for Volbeat, Michael Poulsen was in a band called Dominus. Now you can finally hear what that band sounded like with a click of a button.
Remastered editions of the four Dominus albums have officially been released on streaming services.
“Unless you have a copy of the long out-of-print CDs or found a low-res bootleg online, chances are you’ve only heard about Michael’s first band Dominus, but never heard Dominus,” Volbeat says. “Well, that changes today.”
One of the Dominus albums is titled Vol.Beat, which Poulsen repurposed when coming up with the band name Volbeat.
The most recent Volbeat album is God of Angels Trust, which was released in June. The band is currently on tour in Europe alongside Bush.
A week after topping the country charts in the U.S., Scotty McCreery is repeating the feat in the Great White North.
“I’m thrilled to see ‘Bottle Rockets’ become my first No. 1 in Canada and happy to share that with one of my favorite bands ever, Hootie & The Blowfish,” Scotty says. “Thank you to the fans, Canadian country radio, Sony Music Canada, and The Orchard for all the support, not only on this song but throughout my career.”
Though “Bottle Rockets” is his first time atop the Canadian country ranking, it’s his seventh #1 in the States. It’s also his fastest-rising chart-topper, making it to the pinnacle in 20 weeks.
“Bottle Rockets” is the lead single from Scotty’s Scooter & Friends EP. So far, he hasn’t revealed what his next release will be. He kicks off his Two for the Road Tour with Dustin Lynch Nov. 6 in Saginaw, Michigan.

Paramore‘s Hayley Williams is featured on a new song called “Past Lives” by Jay Som, the moniker of indie artist and boygenius touring member Melina Duterte.
“To say this was a dream come true would be an understatement,” Duterte says. “Hayley is an incredibly kind person, a true collaborative spirit. I know I’m not alone when I say we’re all so lucky to witness her talent and live in the same timeline as her.”
“Past Lives” will appear on the upcoming Jay Som album, Belong, due out Oct. 10. The record also includes the previously released song “Float,” which features Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World.
Williams released a new solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, in August.

Even though they’ll be going head-to-head with her in the charts, Tate McRae and Sombr are thrilled that Taylor Swift specifically cited them in interviews as two of her favorite current artists.
On her Instagram Story, Tate posted a clip of Taylor’s Monday night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which Jimmy asked her to name the last song she listened to by any artist. “Oh, Tate McRae’s got a great new song called ‘Tit for Tat,’ you gotta listen to it,” said Taylor. “It’s, like, full volume, over and over again on repeat.”
Tate wrote, “Oh my godddddddddd” — with 10 D’s — followed by multiple crying emojis and the word “whaaaaaaaaaaat” with 11 A’s.
Meanwhile, Sombr posted on Instagram a quote from another recent interview Taylor did, in which she praised him and Tate. “Tate McRae is amazing. Sombr is amazing,” Taylor said in the interview. “There are so many incredible artists that I love listening to … I’m supporting them by streaming their music constantly in my house.”
“i [heart] my life,” he captioned the post. “i [heart] @taylorswift. thank you.”
Canada’s MuchMusic posted a clip on TikTok of Sombr’s Monday concert in Toronto, during which he told the crowd, “Today is very weird for me because the biggest artist alive recognized me: Taylor Swift.”

President Donald Trump said Monday that Sean “Diddy” Combs has reached out to ask for a pardon following his conviction on two prostitution-related charges.
“A lot of people have asked me for pardons,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “I call him Puff Daddy, [he] has asked me for a pardon.”
A representative for Combs declined to comment on Trump’s remarks Monday.
Combs was sentenced on Friday to over four years in prison. He will get credit for the 12 months he’s already served at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024, as well as be fined $500,000.
Combs’ lawyers, who spoke exclusively with ABC News on Friday, said they are considering an appeal, arguing that the judge unfairly imposed a sentence four times longer than what they had requested and that it was improperly based on unproven allegations not included in the conviction.
“The jury made it very clear in their verdict that they acquitted him of the sex trafficking and the RICO counts,” lead attorney Teny Geragos said at the time. “Not guilty means not guilty.”
According to a letter from his legal team, Combs has asked to serve his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey that houses about 4,000 inmates and offers a drug treatment program known as RDAP, or the Residential Drug Abuse Program.
“In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the Court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix for RDAP purposes and any other available educational and occupational programs,” Geragos said in the letter on Monday.
