Wicked fans can finally get a taste of the two new original songs from the movie’s sequel.

A new Wicked: For Good clip was released Wednesday, featuring snippets of songs sung by Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.

The songs are “The Girl in the Bubble,” sung by Grande, and “No Place Like Home,” sung by Erivo. They were composed by Stephen Schwartz, who wrote the music and lyrics for the original Wicked Broadway musical. He told ABC Audio in June, “They are storytelling songs … and they’re there because we needed them to tell the story.”

“They are astonishing talents,” Schwartz said of the movie’s stars. “And to have two songs being debuted by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, I mean, as a songwriter, it doesn’t really get better than that.”

In a Fandango interview with director Jon M. Chu and the cast, Chu said there are “so many things” he’s excited for fans to see in Wicked: For Good.

“The temperature is up,” he said in the interview, a snippet of which was shared on Instagram. “In movie one, we saw cracks of who [Elphaba and Glinda] are to become. We saw them make choices that position them on the stage of what could be. And in movie two, we get to see those things play out.”

The new clip and song snippets come as tickets go on sale for the conclusion of the two-part Wicked film series, which hits theaters Nov. 21. The first film, simply titled Wicked, premiered Nov. 22, 2024.

But I really just think that he’s incredibly talented. I think he got a one-of-a kind flow. Like, it’s silky, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “But yo, honestly, though, one of my favorite parts about J.I.D is his singing. I think a lot of people like kinda overlook that. Bro’s singing voice is crazy.”

Don’t Fall In Love Fest will return this fall, continuing to broadcast the best acts from Música Mexicana and rap. Among those on the 2025 lineup are Future, Chief Keef and Saweetie. The festival takes place Nov. 22 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California.

“Based on the success and acclaim of the first season, this was a really fun soundtrack to put together,” says Sam Riback, president of A&R for Interscope Records. “So many artists were drawn to the uniquely captivating love story and the role of music in this series. We could not be more proud of the pool of artists we’ve assembled who helped create the musical backdrop for season two.”

Prior to forming The Pretty Reckless, Taylor Momsen was known as an actor. She’s since retired from her first profession, but a new video posted by the band throws it back to her acting days.

The video, shared on the Pretty Reckless Facebook, shows a TV sitting upon boxes of wrapped presents as the screen cycles through clips of Momsen’s past acting roles, including in the TV show Gossip Girl and the movie Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams. It even includes footage of her acting in an old Shake ‘N Bake commercial.

“My world is changing,” the post’s caption reads.

While we wait to see what the video is teasing, you can listen to The Pretty Reckless’ latest single, “For I Am Death,” which dropped in August.

Momsen was also just announced as part of the presenters and performers lineup for the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which takes place Nov. 8 in Los Angeles. Soundgarden is among the inductees, and Momsen notably performed at the 2019 tribute concert to the late Chris Cornell.

Louis Tomlinson always figured that One Direction would get around to reuniting — but following Liam Payne‘s tragic death in 2024, he says he doubts it’ll ever happen.

While speaking to Rolling Stone UK, Louis was asked whether attending the Oasis reunion concert this summer made him feel any kind of way about a 1D reunion.

“That was one of the first feelings I got when I was there, but I think it’s more that you’re romanticizing the idea than [thinking about] the reality of the situation,” he explained. With Liam’s absence, Louis says the idea of getting back together with the guys is now “infinitely more complicated.”

He adds, “Right now, I can’t foresee a time where I would actually feel comfortable doing that.” He says that if he, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik reunited as a four-man group, it would “feel like something else, almost.”

“Before Liam passed, I kind of always had it in the back of my mind,” he admits. “Like, ‘I’m sure we’ll do something, even if it’s just one big show.’ But now I’d be really surprised [if we do],” he said.

“I also kind of love that the last time that we were on stage together, Liam was there. That’s just so perfect.”

As previously reported, Louis will at least reunite with Zayn for a 2026 Netflix series that will find them traveling across the U.S. and “opening up about life, love, loss, and fatherhood.”

Louis’ new album, How Did I Get Here?, is out on Jan. 23, 2026.

Taylor Swift breaks Adele’s sales record with ‘The Life of a Showgirl’

See if you can get your head around this: Taylor Swift‘s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, has broken a sales record set by Adele‘s 2015 album, 25 — but only if you count it in “equivalent album units.”

Billboard reports that Showgirl has sold 3.5 million equivalent album units since its release on Oct. 3. Those units include actual physical and digital purchases of the album, as well as streaming activity. Billboard counts a certain number of streams as equaling one album sale, using a Byzantine formula we won’t bore you with.

The previous record for equivalent album units was held by Adele’s album, which earned 3.482 million in its first week on sale. But when it comes to actual album sales, Adele still holds the record: She sold 3.378 million albums in her first week versus Taylor’s 3.2 million.

Of course, it’s very likely that Taylor will also surpass Adele’s album record by the end of the week. Billboard is expected to reveal the final tally on Oct. 12, along with where The Life of a Showgirl will debut on the Billboard 200 album chart.

This is all explained in exhausting detail over on Billboard and also by The New York Times.

Rolling Stone is taking a look back at the last 25 years of music.

On Wednesday, the outlet released its list of the 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far.

The selections span geography, genre and style, and the list attempts to encapsulate “the full chaotic glory of 21st-century music, one song at a time,” according to Rolling Stone.

Taking home the #1 spot on the expansive list of tunes is Missy Elliott‘s 2001 hit “Get Ur Freak On.” The song played an instrumental role in Elliot’s career, and helped her gain status as the first female hip-hop artist and third rapper ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

“Everything vibrant and inventive and cool about 21st-century pop is in here somewhere,” Rolling Stone wrote of the song.

Other songs that made the top 10 include Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s 2003 jam “Crazy in Love” at #3, 2015’s “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar at #7 and the soulful 2012 song “Thinkin Bout You” by Frank Ocean at #10.

SZA‘s “Snooze,” OutKast‘s “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad),” Mariah Carey‘s “We Belong Together,”  Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” Steve Lacy‘s “Bad Habit,” Wizkid feat. Tems‘ “Essence,” D’Angelo‘s “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” and Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” all made the top 25.

The full list is available on rollingstone.com.
