With Jane’s Addiction over, Perry Farrell is going on to new musical ventures.

Farrell is featured on a new track from English techno DJ Carl Cox called “Joya,” out now.

“It means the world to me that we’re making people so happy with our music,” Farrell says.

“When the opportunity came to work with Perry, I jumped at it and sent him the idea for ‘Joya’!” Cox says. “It just came together so beautifully and I have been proud to play it as the closer for all of my sets in the last year. People respond to it with such joy, and that is what I was aiming for all along!”

Jane’s, of course, publicly combusted in 2024 when Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro got involved in a physical altercation during a concert in Boston. The band ended soon thereafter, and Farrell and his now-former bandmates — Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins — have filed legal action against each other.

The BBC Ozzy Osbourne documentary Coming Home is coming to Peacock.

According to Deadline, the film will premiere on the streaming service Oct. 13.

“We are pleased our partners at Peacock have committed to what is a deeply moving look at one of the world’s most well-known families,” says Matt Creasey of the distribution company Banijay Rights, which handled the Peacock streaming deal.

ABC Audio has reached out to Peacock for confirmation.

Coming Home, which was originally conceived as a series called Home to Roost before being reworked as a standalone film, follows Ozzy’s move back to his native England alongside his wife, Sharon Osbourne, after years of living in Los Angeles.

The BBC had originally set to premiere Coming Home on Aug. 18, nearly a month after Ozzy’s death on July 22, but the airing was delayed at the last minute. The broadcaster later said, “We are respecting the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film.” It then debuted on Oct. 2.

Journey’s Jonathan Cain has left the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band, according to his now-former bandmate Neal Schon.

Schon revealed the news in a post on X, writing, “Jonathan Cain announced his farewell to Journey tonight. I’m nowhere near done!” He added, “Journey has so much more life ahead! I’m sure we will have a great tour!”

Schon later explained why Cain is leaving in a response to a fan comment, writing, “He wants to do his ministry.”

Cain is worship leader at City of Destiny in Florida, the church where his wife, Paula White, is the pastor.

Schon and Cain’s relationship has been rocky over the years, with both of them filing lawsuits against each other in 2024. They settled the lawsuit in August of that year and continued to tour together. Journey’s last show was in April.

The news comes as Cain is getting ready to release a new song, “No One Else,” which he says was “was written in honor of Charlie Kirk,” the late Turning Point USA founder who was killed in September. The song will benefit TPUSA and is set to drop Oct. 23.

As for Journey, while they have no tour announced for the rest of the year or 2026, they are scheduled to play the 2026 Stagecoach Festival, taking place April 24-26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Journey is part of the April 25 lineup.

Charlie Wilson‘s Sunday show at the FedExForum in Memphis has been pushed back a few months. The event, which is part of his R&B Cookout trek, has been rescheduled for April 12, 2026.

FedExForum announced the news Thursday evening, noting the decision was made by the tour’s organizers.

“We regret to inform you that this weekend’s Uncle Charlie’s Cookout shows including the concert at FedExForum on October 12, 2025 must be postponed,” read a post on FedExForum’s Instagram. “The new date at FedExForum is Sunday, April 12, 2026. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.”

Charlie’s shows in Birmingham, Alabama, and Brandon, Mississippi, have also been postponed.

In other Charlie news, his latest single, “Keep Me in Love,” topped the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, becoming his 11th #1 on the list. The song marks his return to the throne as the male R&B artist with the most chart-toppers in the history of the Adult R&B chart.

“All these years later, I’m still here because I never stopped loving R&B. I stayed true to the music, and the music stayed true to me. Styles come and go, times change, but love and real songs will always last,” Wilson says in a press release. “That’s why I’m still here, making music that people can feel.”

A new exhibit at the Trap Music Museum in Atlanta pays homage to late rapper Rich Homie Quan. It’s one of the ways his father, Corey Lamar, hopes to keep his son’s legacy alive.

“I’m ecstatic — sad that it has to be this way — but grateful for him to be acknowledged,” he told WGXA.

Lamar also donated a scholarship in Quan’s honor to his alma mater and teamed with Quan’s former marketing manager for the rapper’s posthumous release, Legacy of Hits.

Quan was additionally honored with three formal proclamations in Atlanta, including Rich Homie Quan Day and Rich in Spirit Day.

Born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, Rich Homie Quan died Sept. 5, 2024, from an accidental drug overdose. Lamar acknowledges his son was “in a dark space” and hopes his story will encourage Black men to seek help when necessary.

“A lot of men carry a lot of things as Black men, and if you don’t get help — if you don’t raise your hand and acknowledge you have a problem — this can lead to death,” he said.

Lamar noted that Quan’s loss has left him with a feeling he doesn’t wish on any other parent.

“[Quan is] not only my son, but my best friend — not only my best friend, but my business partner. We had a great relationship, father and son,” he shared. “Quan didn’t make moves without me, and I didn’t make moves without him.”

The Rich Homie Quan exhibit at the Trap Music Museum is now open to the public.

Dasha releases new EP, single ‘Work on Me’

Dasha releases new EP, single ‘Work on Me’
Dasha, ‘Anna’ EP (Warner Records)

Dasha‘s new EP is out Friday, along with a new single.

The eight-track EP is called Anna, which is a reference to her birth name, Anna Dasha Novotny. It’s described as a “deeply personal body of work.” Speaking on the Country Music Now podcast, Dasha explained that she went by “Anna” from kindergarten to sixth grade before switching to “Dasha” when she started her music career at age 13. She said the song “Oh, Anna” on the EP is about “losing yourself and finding yourself again.”

She sings, “I feel more like a scared little kid/ Than I ever did back then/ I need you to come back a little, come back a little/ Make me that girl again/ Oh, Anna.”

But Dasha’s new single, “Work on Me,” is a confident come-on. In the video we see her working in an all-female mechanic shop, and a guy pulls up, gives her the keys and tells her rudely, “Fix it.” She and her girls sabotage the car so when he drives away, it breaks down. In between, Dasha and her team do choreo while singing, “I’m a little broken, baby/ Could you work on me?”

Anna also includes Dasha’s hit “Not At This Party” and the previously released track “Train.”

The “Austin” singer is currently in London and will open for Kane Brown on Friday. Then she heads back to North America for a few more shows.

Paramore’s also covered the Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House,” while Byrne returned the favor with a rendition of Williams and company’s song “Hard Times.”

The Twits, an adaptation of the Roald Dahl book of the same name, premieres on Netflix Oct. 17. It also features three more songs Byrne wrote for the film.
