Mobb Deep‘s talent and impact on hip-hop culture is Infinite, a point proved on their brand-new album. It’s their first since member Prodigy passed in 2017 and the latest in Mass Appeal’s celebratory Legend Has It series.

The album bridges the past and present with features from Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and H.E.R., as well as Nas and Jorja Smith, who are featured on lead single “Down For You” and in its accompanying video.

The Alchemist produced the project alongside Mobb Deep’s very own Havoc, who also went through the vault and selected the best Prodigy lyrics for each song.

“When I was picking Prodigy’s verses, I felt like a beggar,” he shares in a press release. “To me, there is no greater MC, and I am blessed to have been his partner.”

Infinite arrives as Mobb Deep celebrates the 10th anniversary of their second studio album, The Infamous.

Nashville Notes: Mr. Top’s ‘Rocky Top,’ ERNEST sings Toby Keith and more

Nashville Notes: Mr. Top’s ‘Rocky Top,’ ERNEST sings Toby Keith and more

Zach Top knows how to get a crowd on his side. When he performed at Thompson-Boling arena in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Oct. 9, he made sure to play “Rocky Top,” the classic bluegrass tune that for decades has been the go-to song for the University of Tennessee’s Volunteers. Of course, the fans went nuts and sang along at the top of their lungs.

ERNEST has teamed up with Apple Music’s Lost & Found campaign — which pairs artists with unreleased songs — to cut a long lost song by the late Toby Keith. Called “End of the Night,” it was written in 2015 by Toby, David Lee Murphy and Bobby Pinson, but was never released. On Apple Music, you can listen to Toby’s original demo of the song, and ERNEST’s take on it. “We live in the greatest city for songwriting of all time, so there are an endless amount of songs,” ERNEST says. “Every now and then, you get to pull a little diamond out of there and a little piece of history, and this is no exception.”

Vince Gill is marking the 50th anniversary of his music career by curating a series of EPs that he’s dubbed 50 Years from Home. The first one, I Gave You Everything I Had, is coming Oct. 17. It includes six brand-new songs, and a version of “Go Rest High on That Mountain,” which features a new third verse.

Moody Blues guitarist and lead vocalist Justin Hayward has paid tribute to his late bandmate John Lodge, whose death was announced Friday.

“I’m very sad and shocked to hear of John’s passing,” Hayward wrote on Instagram, next to a picture of them performing together. “I have such happy memories of making music together. My sincere condolences to his dear wife and family.”

Both Lodge and Hayward joined Moody Blues in 1966, with Lodge replacing bassist Clint Warwick, and Hayward replacing vocalist and guitarist Denny Laine.

With Lodge’s death, Hayward is now the last remaining member of the classic Moody Blues lineup.

Also paying tribute to Lodge on social media is the band Yes, former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, who, like Lodge, is a native of Birmingham, England.

Iommi wrote on X, “Sad to hear of the passing of John Lodge of the Moody Blues. I had lunch with him a few weeks ago, so quite a shock. They were another Birmingham band, often overlooked. RIP.”

Megan Thee Stallion will be honored for her mental health advocacy over the years. Nonprofit suicide prevention organization The Trevor Project announced on World Mental Health Day that they’ll be presenting her with the 2025 Health Champion of the Year award.

“From breaking stigma around mental health to creating resources like Bad B****** Have Bad Days Too and establishing the Pete & Thomas Foundation, Megan uses her powerful voice and platform to uplift BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities,” The Trevor Project wrote on Instagram. “Her raw honesty reminds LGBTQ+ young people everywhere that vulnerability is strength, and you are never alone.”

The Health Champion of the Year award is typically given to “public figures who use their voice to challenge stigma, shift culture, and advocate for the mental health of LGBTQ+ young people,” according to a press release, and Meg is honored to be this year’s recipient.

“My goal has always been to use my platform to help break stigmas around mental health and provide resources for those seeking safe spaces to have honest and heartfelt conversations. Mental health impacts all of us, so it’s important to lead with love and empathy,” Meg says in the press release. “I’m grateful for organizations like The Trevor Project that are committed to spreading awareness and supporting our LGBTQ+ youth in powerful ways.”

Journey’s Jonathan Cain is denying reports that he’s ready to say goodbye to the band.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s spokesperson tells ABC Audio that Cain “remains an active member of Journey, and any reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.”

“He is fully dedicated to touring with the band over the next couple of years and has only expressed plans to retire at a later time,” the statement continues.

The statement is an apparent response to social media posts made by Cain’s Journey bandmate Neal Schon.

Schon first shared a post on X, in which he wrote, “Jonathan Cain announced his farewell to Journey tonight. I’m nowhere near done!” He added, “Journey has so much more life ahead! I’m sure we will have a great tour!”

Schon later followed up the post with a clip of an interview Cain recently did in which he said Journey would be going on a farewell tour in 2026. He said in the interview, “So I’ll be saying goodbye to that.” Schon then clarified, “We will be touring with Jon all through 26-27 celebrating the music we’ve created.”

The news comes as Cain is getting ready to release a new song, “No One Else,” which he says was “was written in honor of Charlie Kirk,” the late Turning Point USA founder who was killed in September. The song will benefit TPUSA and is set to drop Oct. 23.

As for Journey, so far they have one show scheduled for 2026. They are playing 2026 Stagecoach festival, in Indio, California, on April 25.

If you happened to be at Parker McCollum‘s concert in Tallahassee, Florida, on Sept. 26, you got to witness him singing a duet live for the first time with the woman he recorded it with. But if you weren’t there, now you can watch it on Instagram.

Parker has posted footage of the show where he and his pal Kassi Ashton sang their collaboration, “Sounds Like Something I’d Say.” Kassi wrote the track years ago; the two pals recorded it for the 2025 deluxe version of her 2024 debut album, Made from the Dirt.

In the video you can hear Parker singing, “Every woman deserves a moment of weakness/ Last night, with me, was yours, I guess/ I must have whispered what you wanted to hear/ And when I asked you, you probably said yes.”

Kassi sang the chorus: “‘Causе it sounds like somethin’ I’d say/ In the midst of lonеly and the Marlboro haze/ It sounds better in the dark than in the light of day/ But it sounds like somethin’ I’d say/ to you when I know it’s wrong/ When it comes to me, you’re not that strong.”

Parker’s wife, Hallie Ray McCollum, wrote in the comments, “I’m weak.”

Kassi wrote, “THERE IT IS,” to which a fan replied, “I mean, it’s what we’ve all been waiting for!” Other fans clamored for the duet to be released as a single, calling it a “banger.”

“Wow, wow, wow!” wrote one fan. “Please pair up for more sultry songs!”

Parker plays Sioux City, Iowa, on Friday.

“We are cooking,” Casagrande tells the Drummer’s Review YouTube channel. “We are doing some new music, for sure.”

Casagrande adds that since he joined the Knot in 2024, the group has been “working on some new ideas.”

“We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we are always doing something,” he says. “So we have a lot of material right now, we just have to sit and put everything together, start jamming, and it’s happening. … New material is coming for sure.”

Slipknot’s most recent album is 2022’s The End, So Far. They also put out a 25th anniversary reissue of their self-titled 1999 debut album in September.

Billie Eilish was grabbed by a concertgoer during a show in Miami on Thursday night.

The “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” singer was walking through the Kaseya Center, where the concert took place, and was high-fiving fans behind a barricade when one person reached out from behind it and grabbed Eilish, appearing to pull her back toward them, according to videos shared on social media.

In the videos, Eilish stumbles, turning and hitting her back against the barricade, before regaining her footing and continuing on, footage shows.

The concertgoer, who has not been identified publicly, was ejected from the Kaseya Center, a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department told ABC News Friday.

No further action was taken, according to the police spokesperson.

Eilish has not commented on the incident publicly and a representative for the singer did not immediately respond to ABC News.

The Kaseya Center, a 19,600-seat venue in downtown Miami that is the home of the Miami Heat, also did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.

Thursday night’s concert was Eilish’s first show in Miami for her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour.

She is scheduled to perform at the Kaseya Center again on Saturday and Sunday before moving on to Orlando, Florida.

Halloween has yet not arrived, but it seems some people are already in the Christmas spirit. Proof is in the announcement of the soundtrack for Unexpected Christmas, produced by Phil Thornton, Trell Woodberry and Perri Camper of 3 Diamonds Films.

The soundtrack features Tamar Braxton, Melanie Fiona, Kevin Ross, K-Ci Hailey, Koryn Hawthorne, Kenyon Dixon and October London, who sings the just-released title track.

“I brought in the vision of making something soulful yet classic and then worked with Tripp [Cambridge] to craft the lyrics in a way that felt timeless,” October said of “Unexpected Christmas” in a statement to Billboard. “The words came out of real memories: I wanted the song to feel relatable, like you could hear your own family in it. Then we built on them to give the song that universal Christmas spirit.”

Another track from the soundtrack arrives Friday: “Cold Day” with EJ Jones. “When I first heard the song, it just clicked for me. I locked into the booth and recorded it in 30 minutes,” EJ tells Billboard.

The soundtrack, now available for presave, arrives on Oct. 24.

Days later, on Nov. 7, Unexpected Christmas will release in theaters nationwide. The film captures the Scott family’s holiday reunion, which goes left due to family secrets, old rivalries and more. Lil Rel Howery, Tabitha Brown, Reagan Gomez-PerezDomiNique Perry and Anna Maria Horsford star in the dramedy.
