Ed Sheeran‘s album Play was heavily influenced by the global sounds he heard while traveling around the world on tour. Now he’s taken that one step further by releasing a remix album featuring collaborations with some of the South Asian artists he met during his travels.

The EP includes new versions of the Play tracks “Sapphire,” “Don’t Look Down,” “Symmetry” and “Heaven,” all recorded with different Indian artists, and at times featuring Ed singing in the Punjabi and Hindi languages.

Making and finishing Play in India was such a fun experience,” Ed writes on Instagram. “Being there over the last decade through touring, I’ve met lots of local artists along the way, and I’ve been introduced to all types of music and cultures.”

There’s also a video of the “Symmetry” remix, which features Indian singer and rapper Karan Aujla. Ed wrote on Instagram that Karan “taught me the Punjabi bits on this song in the studio. … I feel like this is the beginning of our collaborative journey, I’m so excited to create more.”

He goes on to give details about the artists featured on each song, concluding, “I’ve loved this collaboration process so much, I hope you enjoy it, and hopefully discover new things.”

Following NBA YoungBoy‘s performance at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena Wednesday, the venue has canceled his Saturday show. The announcement was made two days before the show without providing a reason for the cancellation.

The news follows reports that YoungBoy received a key to the city during his stay in Atlanta, which the Mayor’s Office of Film, Entertainment and Nightlife clarified was not from them.

In a statement issued “to ensure accuracy and transparency surrounding public information,” the office clarified that NBA’s “recognition was made by representatives of Fulton County and the State of Georgia.”

His stop in Atlanta was part of his MASA world tour, named after his MASA (Make America Slime Again) album, released in July. YoungBoy has since dropped Deshawn with DJ Khaled and already has another album on the way.

Slime Cry is set to arrive on Nov. 28 and is now available for presave. The cover art features NBA onstage at one of his shows.

Gracie Abrams tells Cyndi Lauper about touring: ‘Constantly shocking’ but ‘fun’

As part of Rolling Stone‘s Musicians on Musicians series, Gracie Abrams sat down for a chat with newly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Cyndi Lauper, whose music she grew up with, courtesy of her mom.

During their talk they discussed touring, since Cyndi just completed a farewell tour and Gracie has just wrapped up a four-year run on the road, which marked her first time playing live for fans at that level. When Cyndi noted that touring for the first time is “a little shocking,” Gracie agreed, saying, “The whole thing is constantly shocking.”

Gracie said touring has made her realize that “the best and highest use of my being here on this planet is for the two hours a night that people feel they can come and have some place to, at the very least, be around strangers who are expressing anything loudly. We don’t even really get that these days.”

When Cyndi said that touring is fun, Gracie agreed, adding, “I felt very filled up by the fact that you know other people are having a good time.”

Cyndi, who recently booked a residency in Vegas for 2026, is currently working on a musical based on the 1988 Melanie Griffith movie Working Girl. As for Gracie, she’s figuring it out.

“Now that the album cycle is over, the next album isn’t made, I don’t know what I want to say yet,” she explained. However, she told Cyndi, “Hearing you talk about the whole point of writing and reflecting on the world that we’re living in, I feel called more than ever to [write about that].”

“You got your whole life now. It’s going to be really great,” Cyndi told Gracie. “You’re going to make it. You are going to write the book.”

Nothing More has released a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song “We’re in This Together.”

The track has been over a decade in the making, as Nothing More first started working it 11 years ago.

“‘We’re in This Together’ sounds like a love song colliding with a war cry,” says frontman Jonny Hawkins. “[Writer/orator] Alan Watts once said that ‘you are the universe experiencing itself’ — and this song embodies that truth. It’s us against the world, and this song is my inner monologue.”

The original “We’re in This Together” appears on NIN’s 1999 album, The Fragile.

Nothing More’s most recent album is 2024’s CARNAL. They’ll launch a U.S. headlining tour in January.

Neil Young is set to reissue his 1975 album Tonight’s the Night in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

The reissue will feature six bonus tracks, as well as a previously unreleased original version of “Lookout Joe,” which replaces the version on the 1975 release.

Other previously unreleased tracks include “Walk On,” which, like the original “Lookout Joe,” was recorded during Young’s 1973 recording sessions at S.I.R. in Los Angeles, and an alternative take on the album’s title track.

Other bonus tracks include “Wonderin’,” which has previously only been available to stream on the Neil Young Archives website, as well as “Everybody’s Alone,” “Raised on Robbery” featuring Joni Mitchell and “Speakin’ Out Jam,” which appeared on Neil Young Archives Vol II.

The limited-edition Tonight’s the Night 50th Anniversary Edition is set to drop on Nov. 28 with reimagined cover art. It will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally, and will be available at Young’s Greedy Hand Store and independent retailers.

The reissue isn’t the only release from Young this year. He and his band the Chrome Hearts released the new album Talkin’ To the Trees in June. And his Official Release Series Volume 6, featuring 1992’s Harvest Moon, 1993’s Unplugged, 1994’s Sleep With Angels and 1995’s double album Mirror Ball, which he recorded with Seattle rockers Pearl Jam, is dropping Oct. 24.

Foo Fighters are ‘about to take flight’ in possible new music teaser

Are Foo Fighters teasing new music?

Dave Grohl and company have posted a video on Instagram featuring an image of a parrot perched in front of a Foo Fighters logo with what sure sounds like fresh material playing in the background.

The Foos further stir the pot with the accompanying caption, which reads, “About to take flight…”

We’ll have to wait and see if new Foos tunes are indeed in the pipeline. Either that or Grohl is planning to get even deeper into bird-watching.

Foo Fighters put out a new single called “Today’s Song” in July, which was the band’s first original music to follow their 2023 album, But Here We Are. They recently wrapped a tour of Asia after playing a batch of pop-up U.S. shows, which marked their first with new drummer Ilan Rubin.
