Harry Styles just earned his “beauty mogul” title after launching his new company, Pleasing, but it appears he’s added yet another feather in his cap — that of NFT maker.

VOGUE has the scoop.  Last year, Harry turned heads when he wore a colorful patchwork JW Anderson cardigan and, since then, the outfit has become somewhat of a TikTok meme.  Influencers who had a pair of knitting needles handy tried recreating it and sparked the #harrystylescardigan challenge over the summer.

So, what happened to Harry’s eye-catching cardigan?  The Victoria and Albert Museum in London acquired the green, orange, yellow and red patchwork piece in 2020, where it remains on display today.  But the sweater has gained new life in the form of an NFT.

Xydrobe, an NFT auction platform that focuses on virtual fashion, partnered with JW Anderson to digitize that $1,890 sweater — a process that took over 300 hours.

The lucky winner of the auction won’t be able to physically wear the cardigan, unfortunately, but they will be able to slip it on in the virtual world.

The auction starts Sunday, December 12 and will run for 48 hours on Xydrobe’s official website.

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, allow buyers to exercise sole ownership over a unique piece of digital media, such as individual songs, videos and images … and, now, cardigans.

Here’s a bit of news that will almost certainly make the members of Mötley Crüe feelgood: the Los Angeles metallers have sold their entire recorded catalog to the global music company BMG.

The sale includes all of the Crüe’s nine studio albums, as well as various live records and compilations.

“It feels amazing to be collaborating with our new partners at BMG,” the band members say in a collective statement. “Their extensive track record of success in rock made them the perfect home to continue preserving and growing our musical legacy, ensuring we always stay at The Top.”

The exact financial terms of the agreement were not officially announced, only that it’s the “largest single catalog acquisition” in BMG’s 13-year history. According to Variety, the deal is worth around $150 million, though the trade also notes that “other sources cited a significantly lower number.”

Mötley Crüe is set to launch the band’s long-awaited reunion tour in June 2022. The trek was originally scheduled for 2020 but has been postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

5 Seconds of Summer aren’t looking ahead to 2022.  In fact, they’re looking back in time with their brand-new single, “2011.”

The group says the new single, which comes out on Friday, celebrates the year they officially came together as a band.  The song not only marks a decade of success, it also pays homage to their journey from a simple boy band from Sydney, Australia to a global phenomenon.

“This year we’re celebrating 10 years of 5 Seconds of Summer. Singlehandedly the best 10 years of our lives,” 5S0S said in a statement, noting that the single not only explores their past, but also is “a nod to what we have in store to the future. We’ve loved every minute of being in this band. Here’s to another ten years of 5 Seconds of Summer.”

In addition to releasing their new single on Friday, the “Youngblood” singers will make their grand return to the live performing circuit with an all-out “10-year celebration” event.  The concert, which will take place in Los Angeles, will be streamed live on YouTube — the platform they say made them famous.

5S0S will perform their hits from the past decade in addition to reflecting on what the past 10 years have taught them.  While the show is designed to “honor every experience, lesson and person we’ve encountered,” they also plan on bringing the laughs with some comedic sketches.

In addition to pre-saving the “2011” single before its December 3 release, fans can head on over to 5S0S’ official YouTube page to catch their livestream spectacular when it goes live this Friday at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.

Mariah Carey reveals her biggest dating dealbreaker

Mariah Carey knows she’s a catch, so she has this small piece of advice to the potential suitor who wants to win her heart: “You have to love Christmas.”

Speaking with E!’s Daily Pop recently, the decorated singer said everyone in her family is a big fan of the holiday, so they “have the best time at Christmas.”  That means she’ll kick anyone to the curb who threatens to wreck the halls.

“There was a person in my life at one time —we won’t say names— and they didn’t love holidays,” Mariah remarked. “And I was like, ‘Well you’re with the wrong person then, honey.'”

The “Fantasy” singer doubled down that hating the holidays is her dating dealbreaker. She also hinted that being a fellow Christmas lover may be a requirement to get on her good side.

This should be common knowledge considering Mariah is dubbed the “Queen of Christmas,” but since she just said she dumped someone over their aversion to the holidays, it doesn’t hurt to set such an important dating rule in stone — or on top of a Christmas tree.

ABC

Though Kelsea Ballerini has been off the road for a month following an opening stint on the Jonas Brothers tour, she’s taken a walk down memory lane by posting an unforgettable performance from one of those shows on her Twitter feed that features her duetting with the lead singer of the pop group LANY

Kelsea spent much of 2021 opening for the Jonas Brothers on The Remember This Tour. One of the stops was at Boston’s historic Fenway Park where LANY’s Paul Klein joined the country star for a surprise performance of their hit “I Quit Drinking.”

Kelsea is now reliving this moment, posting a clip that shows her strutting around the stage in a sparkling blue jumpsuit trading vocals with the LANY frontman as graphics of storm clouds and falling rain are shown on a video screen in the background. The two end the performance with a sweet hug.

“Missing tour so i thought it was a good time to share this gem of a memory with you,” Kelsea reflects in the caption. “Hands down one of my favorite tour moments ever ever.”

One fan comments about the video, “This song… this performance… so beautiful!” while another agrees, writing, “Love this it’s so beautiful!”

Kelsea and Paul co-wrote “I Quit Drinking” with Nicolle Galyon. It reached the top 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and is inside the top 20 on the all-genre Billboard Adult Top 40 chart.
