2021 was tough for Bryan Adams: He got COVID-19 twice. Thankfully, he didn’t succumb to his illness. But the veteran star has considered how he’d like to be remembered — and it’s pretty unique.

The publication Ramp.space asked Bryan if he’d like to be remembered as a musician or as a photographer, which is his other passion. “I could [sic] care less if I’m remembered or not,” Adams responded. “In fact, if I woke up tomorrow and there was no trace of me on the internet, I’d be thrilled.”

But after that harsh response, the “Summer of ’69” rocker gave the question a bit more thought.

I once did an interview with a Brazilian journalist who asked me if I knew how many kisses my songs were responsible for. I had never thought about that before,” Bryan mused. “He calculated that it would be in the billions. I really liked that. Imagine being responsible for a billion kisses!”

He went on to say that if he were to be remembered in that way, “That would be okay with me, because without love we are nothing.”

“So to be able to bring a little love into this world — that means everything to me,” he added.

Bryan’s new album, So Happy It Hurts, is out March 11. He’s already released three songs from it: the title track,On the Road” and “Kick A**.”  While his New Year’s Eve show in Vancouver was canceled due to COVID-19, he hints that he might want to hit the road this year after doing a November 2021 mini-residency in Las Vegas.

On Instagram, Bryan wrote, “I wonder what 2022 will be like, because after the Vegas shows, the idea of touring got under my skin again. Looking forward to seeing you all.”

When Billie Eilish went blonde earlier this year, it made headlines. But it turns out she managed to keep another change she made to her hair color a few months ago under wraps.

On her Instagram Story on Monday, Billie posted photos dated November 22 of herself at a salon, sporting red hair. She captioned it, “Took the blonde out and went red for a week hehe.”  Ultimately, though, she ended up with a dark brunette color, which she debuted in early December.

It was in March of 2021 that the Grammy winner unveiled her platinum blonde ‘do, which she later revealed she’d covered with a black-and-green wig for weeks because it took that long to get the color right.

Billie posted the redhead pics as part of a response to fans choosing random dates and asking her to post photos that were taken on that day.  The photos that are currently live show her behind-the-scenes of the Met Gala and Saturday Night Live, the day she took all the publicity photos for her album Happier than Ever, a first look at her Met Gala dress, random pics of her dog, and photos of her leg bandaged after she suffered what she called a “really nice second degree burn.”

Cher has teamed with a brand that’s almost as iconic as she is — M·A·C cosmetics — for its new campaign, “Challenge Accepted.” It invites users to put their makeup to the test, showing how it goes “above and beyond the call of beauty” — and then share the results by using the hashtag #macchallengeaccepted.

In a statement, Cher says, “I’ve been saying Challenge Accepted for a Millennium.” She adds, “I was always stubborn. Later, that stubbornness turned into my mantra…’I DON’T BELIEVE THE WORD ’NO.'”

“No matter what happened, I never gave up,” she continues. “I couldn’t let it matter what people thought. I took risks because…what else do you do? I was like a bumper car: when I hit a wall I just backed up and turned around.”

I was always Cher but didn’t have the luxury of make-up at [age] four. Now I have M·A·C,” she adds on Instagram.

Rapper Saweetie is also part of the campaign. In a video — set to Cher’s 1979 disco hit “Take Me Home” — she asks the legendary star, “How did you do it?” To which Cher replies, “I’m like this lipstick. When I’m on, I’m on.”

At the end of the video, Cher says, “I love lasting forever.” Just like M·A·C makeup, presumably.

Cher and Saweetie bonded during the shoot: The former tells People, “I [had] never met her [before], but I saw a video, and I liked her essence. We got along really well. Now she comes to dinner!”

Cher also tells People that these days when she wants to get glam, she’ll go for “big eyelashes.” As for those who want to mimic her iconic looks, she advises, “I think a little bit less is more, because sometimes you can shoot for it and shoot past it.”

On Monday, The Weeknd surprised fans by announcing that his new album Dawn FM would be arriving Friday, and then further surprised them by revealing that fellow Canadian star Jim Carrey would be featured on the project. Now, the comedian himself is giving us a sneak preview of the much-anticipated album.

“I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night,” Carrey tweeted, using the singer’s birth name. “It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony.”

It’s not exactly clear what the Truman Show star is doing on the album, but its trailer does feature a voice-over from a guy who could be him, saying, “You are now listening to 103.5 Dawn FM. You’ve been in the dark way too long. It’s time to walk into the light and accept your fate with open arms.”

As for how The Weeknd and Jim Carrey are even friends, in August, the singer told GQ, “He lived literally like two buildings down from me. He had a telescope, and I had a telescope. He was like, ‘Where do you live? What floor do you live on?’…And we looked out the windows on our telescopes and we could see each other.”

The Weeknd further revealed that on his 30th birthday — February 16, 2020 — Carrey “pulled up to my crib and took me to breakfast.”

Though Parker McCollum is a happily engaged man, he’s the first to admit that “To Be Loved by You” isn’t the most cheerful love song.

Parker popped the question to his fiancee, Hallie Ray Light, in July 2021, months after the release of his latest hit, “To Be Loved by You,” which is currently in the top 20 on country radio. The singer reveals that Hallie Ray inspired the idea for the song, although he notes that it’s not entirely autobiographical.

“She was the one that I was talking about when I said out loud, ‘What does a man have to do to be loved by that girl?'” he says in reference to the song’s hook. “All my songs are kind of heartbreak, love songs about everything going terribly wrong, so I try to always write in that vein. [M]y favorite kind of songs are those songs. So she inspired song, but it’s not incredibly true about her.”

The couple is currently preparing for their upcoming wedding ceremony in March, and Parker says he is slowly but surely getting ready for the big day.

“It is certainly coming up. It’s at the end of March,” he shares, adding that he has a few months to “really prepare for it and be ready.” “So I think I am,” he assures.

Another significant event on Parker’s calendar is a performance at the Houston Rodeo on March 12, a major milestone for the Texas native. The remaining lineup will be announced this Wednesday, January 5, with tickets going on sale January 13.

Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman share memories of Yes’ ‘Fragile’ album, released in the US 50 years ago today

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the U.S. release of Yes‘ classic fourth studio album, Fragile.

Fragile was the U.K. prog-rock band’s highest-charting album on the Billboard 200, peaking at #4, and featured several of the group’s most enduring tunes, including “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround” and “Heart of the Sunrise.”

“Roundabout,” of course, is widely considered the group’s signature song, and an edited version of the tune reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Yes’ second most successful single after 1983’s chart-topping “Owner of a Lonely Heart.”

Founding Yes frontman Jon Anderson, who co-wrote “Roundabout” with guitarist Steve Howe, recalls that the idea for the song came about as the band was driving in its tour van through Scotland. Anderson tells ABC Audio that the lyric “mountains come out of the sky” was inspired by the fact that “you couldn’t see the top of the mountains because the clouds were so low.”

He adds, “And then the lakes. You know, you come to Loch Lomond, and all that…energy of Scotland. That’s why if you listen to the solo, it’s a…like a Scottish reel.”

Fragile was the first Yes album to feature keyboard whiz Rick Wakeman, who replaced founding member Tony Kaye. Wakeman tells ABC Audio that he has fond memories of working on Fragile because he loved the collaborative way some of the album’s long pieces — such as “Heart of the Sunrise” and “South Side of the Sky” — were created.

“We used to spend one month, two months all together in a rehearsal room, throwing ideas at each other, and that’s how the music got put together,” Rick notes. “And it’s how…the best Yes music, in my mind, was always put together.”

Here’s the full Fragile track list:

Side One
“Roundabout”
“Cans and Brahms” (instrumental)
“We Have Heaven”
“South Side of the Sky”

Side Two
“Five Per Cent for Nothing” (instrumental)
“Long Distance Runaround”
“The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)”
“Mood for a Day” (instrumental)
“Heart of the Sunrise”

After years of frustration with fertility issues that prevented her from becoming pregnant, Eve is ecstatic that her first baby is due to be born next month.

“Can’t believe how soon I’m gonna be meeting this little person,” she captioned an Instagram photo of herself posted on Monday that shows her dressed in black as she cradles her baby bump.

Eve’s Queens co-star Brandy commented, “FavEve,” with two hearts and a balloon. Numerous other stars sent congratulations, including Naomi Campbell, who commented, “So thrilled for you @therealeve, there is nothing like it.”

In October, Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velazquez from Queens joined Eve for her baby shower.

The Grammy winner had become depressed after years of unsuccessfully attempting to get pregnant. In 2020, she had her fibroids removed to improve her chance of becoming a mother.

Eve married British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper in June 2014 after four years of dating, and she is a stepmom to his four teenage children from his previous marriage — Lotus, 19; Jagger, 17; Cash, 15; and Mini, 13.

Ben Affleck says his kids were starstruck when they met Taylor Swift

Kids say the darndest things, but parent Ben Affleck said his children were rendered speechless when he took them to meet their idol, Taylor Swift.

Appearing recently on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Ben swapped stories with Kelly about how they were let down by their normally chatty children.

Kelly recalled how she arranged to have her youngsters River Rose and Remington Alexander meet Aquaman star Jason Momoa.

“My kids, all of a sudden, like the loudest kids on the planet, [would] not speak,” the “Piece by Piece” singer shared, admitting that she was embarrassed by their sudden silence. “I’m like, ‘What’s happening to you right now?'”

Ben said he knew the struggle well, because he was let down by his daughters when they “clam[med] up” around Taylor and only stared at her with wide, unbelieving eyes.

“I was like, ‘We came all the way here!  Say something!’,” he hilariously recalled and mimicked their stunned facial expressions.  He joked that he then assured the “Shake It Off” singer he was not lying about his daughters being huge fans.

Kelly noted that those situations make you “look like a liar,” and joked that she would have told Taylor, “I swear they know your songs!”

Affleck is the father of daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina Rose, 12, whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner.  The former couple also have a nine-year-old son together, Samuel.
