Billie Eilish‘s Coachella set featured a surprise appearance by Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn.

The “bad guy” artist invited Albarn on stage for a joint performance of her song “Getting Older,” as well as rendition of the Gorillaz classic “Feel Good Inc.”

For the “Feel Good Inc.” performance, Eilish and Albarn were also joined by Posdnuos of hip hop trio De La Soul, which provided the iconic rap verses on the original song.

Albarn is an Eilish fan, and has covered “Getting Older” himself. In the infamous Los Angeles Times interview where he claimed Taylor Swift “doesn’t write her own songs,” Albarn called Eilish a “really interesting songwriter.”

Lorde is scheduled to perform at New York’s Radio City Music Hall Monday night but it remains to be seen if she will, since she had to postpone her last two shows due to laryngitis.

The first show scrapped was her April 15 gig in Uncasville, CT. In a statement on the venue’s website, Lorde said, “These past couple days I’ve been pushing through some horrendous laryngitis, and I regret to inform you that my voice hasn’t sufficiently recovered to be able to play the show for you…I’ve tried everything, and unfortunately it’s physically impossible for me to sing much of the set.”

The second affected was Saturday’s gig in Washington, D.C.  Lorde said in a tweet, “Unfortunately, due to continued illness, I am postponing our show. I am so, so sorry. My voice is still a wreck, and I don’t want to give a less-than-great performance. I love playing in DC, and I’m gutted it’s you guys I’m letting down.”

The D.C. gig has been moved to August 29, while the Connecticut show has been moved to August 25.

Lorde’s Monday and Tuesday night shows at Radio City were still listed on the venue’s website as of Monday morning.

Over the weekend, Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani got visits from the Easter Bunny — but in Gwen’s case, it was actually her husband, Blake Shelton, dressed in a giant pink bunny suit.

”hoppy #Easter from me + the easter blakey,” wrote Gwen on Instagram, captioning a video of Blake in his bunny suit walking down the hallway with their dogs.  He accessorized the bunny suit with a pair of bunny slippers. On his own Instagram, Blake shared another video of his Bunny debut, and wrote, “Happy Easter everybody. You’re welcome.”

Gwen also shared a photo of her son Apollo posing with her father, as well as a throwback photo of her two older sons, Kingston and Zuma, posing with the Easter Bunny — not Blake — when they were much younger.

As for Mariah, her Instagram video showed the Bunny walking up her driveway and sneaking into her palatial mansion, where he left huge baskets for her twins Roc and Roe. He also tip-toed into Mariah’s bedroom and woke her up, and then dropped off some more baskets in the front yard before leaving, as Mariah blew him kisses from her balcony.

Dolly Parton’s headed for a long-overdue reunion with her 9 to 5 co-stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda this year, on the final season of Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, which stars Lily and Jane.

Back in November, Netflix confirmed that Dolly would appear somewhere in the final season of Grace and Frankie. The show, which is Netflix’s longest-running original series ever, concludes this year after seven seasons.

Now, Dolly’s much-anticipated cameo on the show is getting closer: A new trailer says that the final episodes of Grace and Frankie will head to Netflix on April 29.

In early 2021, Dolly told U.K. talk show Lorraine that she’s been trying to find a time to guest star on Grace and Frankie “for years.”

“We worked so well on 9 to 5, [and] it’s a crazy, wonderful show,” the singer said at the time. “We’ve been trying to write me in somehow. When it’s safe for us to actually do a production…I’ll probably get around to doing that.”

Dolly, Lily and Jane starred as co-workers getting revenge on their sexist boss in the 1980 classic, which featured Dolly’s mega-hit of the same title, “9 to 5.”

Doors guitarist Robby Krieger has just released three new tracks via digital platforms — reggae-flavored instrumental covers of the 1940s country song “Ghost Riders in the Sky,” Ritchie Valens‘ “La Bamba” and The Bee Gees‘ “Stayin’ Alive.”

Robby recorded all three tracks with two longtime collaborators — bassist Phil Chen and keyboardist Ed Roth. Chen, who died of cancer in December 2021 at age 75, was for many years a member of the bands that Krieger co-led with late Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, while Roth plays in Robby’s side group The New Experience.

In addition, a music video for Krieger’s rendition of “Ghost Riders in the Sky” has premiered at The Doors’ official YouTube channel. The clip features footage of Krieger and Roth driving a vintage car in the desert, where they pick up a hitchhiker, who happens to be Robby’s son and current solo band mate Waylon Krieger. The video also includes scenes of Robby playing a sitar, Chen playing bass, and drummer Pride Hutchinson, as well as Krieger and his son jamming on guitars while Roth plays keys.

Last October, Krieger told ABC Audio that he had recorded an entire album of reggae-influenced cover songs with Chen and Roth that was to be called Rocks Meets Dub, but there’s been no official word yet about plans to release the full-length project. Robby reported at the time that tunes they recorded included “Stayin’ Alive,” as well as songs by The Beatles and Bob Dylan.

In other news, Krieger has just announced a series of nine U.S. concerts with his solo group, spanning from a May 3 show in Tempe, Arizona, through a September 25 gig at The Doors’ famed Los Angeles-area stomping ground, The Whisky a Go Go.

“I always want to set the bar higher”: Carly Pearce is writing for a new album
ABC

Carly Pearce is always striving for new career heights, and she’ll be learning from the best when she hits the road with Kenny Chesney for his Here and Now Tour this summer.

As a live act, Kenny’s reputation precedes him: He’s known for high-energy shows and one of the genre’s most enthusiastic fan bases, which he’s dubbed No Shoes Nation.

“I’ve never experienced it. Obviously, I’ve heard of the unbelievable tour that that is, and the entity that the No Shoes Nation family is,” Carly tells ABC Audio ahead of the tour. “I feel so lucky and excited he’s bringing me out. I’m such a fan, so I’m really just excited, as a fan, to fangirl.”

One of country music’s hardest-working artists, Carly also says she’s already got her sights set on the follow-up to her September 2021 album, 29: Written in Stone.

“I’ve started to write for it, and I feel like I’m starting to really get some songs for it,” Carly hints, going on to say that she wants to make sure she brings her A-game to every record — and that takes preparation.

“I feel like you have to plan ahead so that you can keep things rolling and I always want to set the bar higher,” she continues. “So I’m excited about it.”

Meanwhile, Carly’s duet with Ashley McBryde, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl,” is steadily making its way up the chart. The song is currently inside country radio’s top ten.

Why Michael Bublé’s latest hit made him dance in the kitchen in his underwear

Michael Bublé‘s latest hit is “I’ll Never Not Love You,” from his new album, Higher. Michael co-wrote the song with Michael Pollack, who he tracked down after he realized that Pollack had co-written a song that both he and his kids loved: Justin Bieber‘s song, “Holy.”

Turns out Pollack was a fan of Michael’s, too, and was eager to work with him.  But as Michael tells ABC Audio, it took them a while for them to get the song just right.

“That song was interesting ’cause it started as a ballad. You know, it was very slow,” Michael says. “And I remember, I called [Pollack] on a Friday morning and I said, ‘This is a great song, Mike, really catchy. The lyrics are beautiful…but something’s wrong…it’s not hitting for me.'”

Michael asked Pollack to make the song “double time” — in other words, faster.  According to Michael, Pollack was annoyed by the request, but told him, “Yeah, yeah, I’ll put something together.” Michael says later that night, Pollack sent him the new version, and he was blown away.

“It was 11 o’clock at night, I was in my boxer shorts in my kitchen. I was going to get water for my wife and I heard it for the first time and I knew I had a hit song,” Michael remembers.

“Instantly, I knew and I think I danced in my kitchen for like an hour and a half fantasizing about, you know, ‘What would the video be? How am I going to perform this? Oh my God, people are going to go crazy when they hear this!'” he laughs.

“There’s nothing better in the whole universe than writing something and going, ‘Oh my God, it’s done. I think we got a hit,'” Michael declares. “It was amazing.”

Twenty One Pilots have premiered a new trailer for their upcoming Cinema Experience film, an extended, theatrical release of the duo’s 2021 streaming concert.

The 30-second clip begins with a voiceover from frontman Tyler Joseph explaining that he and drummer Josh Dun had often been asked about performing a livestream show.

“The answer was always, ‘No,'” Joseph says. “How would we ever be able to recreate the connection with our fans in the same room with us? There wouldn’t be any magic.”

Then, as Joseph puts it, “the world stopped.”

“We knew if we were gonna do this, it had to be different,” he says.

The Twenty One Pilots Cinema Experience features an additional 20 extra minutes of footage not included in the original stream, which the duo played last May to celebrate the release of their new album Scaled and Icy, as well as remastered audio and video. It premieres in theaters on May 19.

For the full list of participating theaters and showtimes, visit TwentyOnePilots.film.

In addition to catching them on the big screen, you can see Twenty One Pilots live and in-person on their U.S. Icy tour, launching in August.
