Britney Spears‘ attorney has weighed in on the fiasco between her and ex-husband Kevin Federline. He says the former backup dancer has “created various legal issues for himself” by posting videos allegedly depicting the Grammy winner yelling at their sons.

“Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has undermined his own children, whose privacy he should protect,” attorney Mathew Rosengart told ABC News in a statement. “Mr. Federline’s ill-advised decision to post an old video of his 11 and 12 year old children was cruel, bottom of the barrel stuff. It was abhorrent.”

Rosengart continued, “In addition to demeaning himself and violating societal norms, he has now also created various legal issues for himself including, but not limited to, implicating cyber-harassment and cyber-bullying statutes, among other things.”

“We will not tolerate bullying in any area,” he continued, citing the abuse Britney endured when seeking to terminate her 13-year conservatorship. “We are working with Instagram to ensure that Mr. Federline adheres to its rules and we are exploring all appropriate relief against him.”

“We urge Mr. Federline to act with a measure of grace and decency and to cease from publicly discussing private matters, which benefits no one,” the statement closed.

As previously reported, Federline sparked controversy when he told Daily Mail Britney’s kids, 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden, “have decided they are not seeing her right now.”

Britney later accused her sons in a since-deleted Instagram post of being “hateful” and claimed her ex-husband’s house “has more weed than Ludacris50 CentJay Z and Puff Daddy combined.”

After Britney made the post, he shared several inflammatory videos of her to Instagram, but deleted them soon after.

Scotty McCreery is riding high on the success of his recent singles.

This week, Scotty was presented with plaques commemorating his three consecutive singles that have sat at #1 on country radio: “In Between,” “You Time” and current multiweek #1, “Damn Strait.” He also received plaques for Gold certification by the RIAA for each track.

The chart-topping success brought back childhood memories of longing to be a country star, Scotty said in a sentimental Instagram post.

“Wish I could tell 10 year old Scotty practicing guitar on the end of his bed… One day he’d get to celebrate 3 #1 singles in the morning and then play the Grand Ole @Opry that night,” the singer writes alongside a gallery of photos, including the plaque ceremony, him with his pregnant wife, Gabi, outside the Opry marquee and in his dressing room backstage.

“In Between” was the final single released off the American Idol winner’s 2018 album, Seasons Change. Both “You Time” and “Damn Strait” are featured on his latest album, Same Truck.

Scotty and Gabi are expecting their first child this fall.

Ari Lennox has been eager for fans to hear what she’s been working on — and the wait is dwindling down. On Wednesday, the singer announced that her new single, “Hoodie,” will be dropping on Friday. The song is the first to be released off an album she says is finally done.

Ari has come a long way since March, when she was deciding which of 80 songs would make her final track list. Now, she’s ready to share her music with everyone.

“I don’t want to keep this music any longer. I want to release it to the world,” she said in an interview with Vibe.com. “I think it’s a part of healing to release music, and I kind of feel like it’s a whole bunch of just … stuff I have to keep inside, when I would like to just get it out. And, I also start thinking about new music. It’s like it kind of creates a block in regards to creating new music because I want to, but I have to focus on getting my baby out.”

As far as what fans can expect from the album, Ari says there will be “a lot of singing.” “It’s just beautiful soul music, a lot of attention to detail, and a lot of vulnerability,” she teased.

Melissa Etheridge is a musician, Oscar winner, Grammy winner and breast cancer survivor, but now she can add another line to her resume: reality show peacemaker.

On Wednesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Melissa made a surprise appearance at a charity dinner hosted by Dorit Kemsley. When she arrived, she inadvertently stopped things from descending into chaos.

As E! Online reports, Lisa Rinna and Sutton Stracke had gotten into a screaming match at the event and were slinging expletives across the room at each other, while all the other guests watched in horror. But then Melissa came down the stairs and performed “Come to My Window,” and suddenly everyone chilled out.

In fact, Lisa even apologized to Sutton and the rest of the Housewives, tearfully attributing her outburst to misdirected anger. “I’m trying to figure out how to live without my mom and I don’t know how to do it,” she said.

Melissa retweeted the E! Online article — titled “How Melissa Etheridge Stopped a RHOBH Dinner Party From Hell” — and added, “I have new calling!!” She also tweeted a photo of herself posing with the glamorous housewives, and captioned the pic, “one of these things is not like the other…

Michael Bublé paid tribute to Olivia Newton-John, who lost her battle with cancer this week. The “Sway” singer appeared on Australia’s TODAY to share his memories of the late icon.

“Once in a generation a person comes along who is born or given such privilege and they understand with that privilege comes a responsibility to lead with goodness, and kindness and empathy,” Michael said. “She is this massive star and she touched everybody that she knew … The whole damn world.”

Referencing Australia collectively mourning the beloved Grease star, Michael continued, “I cannot imagine how deep the sadness is, but at the same time, how proud you all must be.”

“She understood exactly who she was, and that for me is the difference between an artist and a musician.  That’s an artist,” Michael continued. “Look at what she’s done! Look at how long she’s been more than relevant for. That’s just not normal anymore.”

He noted artists should consider themselves “lucky” if they stay relevant for over a decade. “She went way further than that,” Michael said.

Michael reflected on opening for Olivia during a show and how that morphed into a lifelong friendship. “She was just as cool as you think she was … She was way too cool and way too sweet,” he said. The singer added she went “out of her way” to meet his parents and siblings, who “couldn’t believe” they shook hands with the icon.

Michael revealed Olivia also consoled him when his young son, Noah, battled liver cancer in 2016.

The Grammy winner said Olivia brought “a lot of light” wherever she went, which inspired him to become a better person. “She was one of my lessons of how I wanted to be.”

The victim of the shooting for which A$AP Rocky was arrested has come forward, and it’s a member of his A$AP Mob collective. As Rolling Stone reports, A$AP Relli, born Terell Ephron, identified himself as the individual Rocky shot in Hollywood on November 6, 2021. He is now planning to sue the Harlem rapper over the incident.

In a statement to RS, Relli’s attorneys, Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz, alleged Rocky, whose birth name is Rakim Mayers, asked their client to meet up “to discuss a disagreement between the two of them” and “came armed with a semi-automatic handgun.”

Then “a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, ASAP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron,” the statement continued.

Rocky was arrested in April in connection to the incident and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was released after posting a $500,000 bond.

As for Relli, he sustained a minor injury to his left hand and later sought medical treatment. His attorneys say he’s received “multiple death threats and irreparable harm to his career in the entertainment industry as a result of this incident.” Hence, his plans to file a civil lawsuit against Rocky.

According to RS, Rocky’s friendship with Relli, a talent manager and producer, dates back to high school. He previously credited Relli for bringing him into the A$AP Mob.
