When Blake Shelton married Gwen Stefani in the summer of 2021, he married into a whole family: Gwen has three sons whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

And although the kids — 16-year-old Kingston, 14-year-old Zuma and eight-year-old Apollo — already have a dad, Blake is a big figure in their lives, and the country star knows just how important it is to foster those relationships.

“If I walked away from my career at this time, the only thing that I run the risk of is having regrets that I’m missing out on some more important things in life. For now, that’s our kids,” he tells People in a new cover story. “This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again.”

During this stage of his life, Blake continues, family time comes before anything else.

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously,” the singer emphasizes. “…[When they ask], ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ I take that stuff to heart. I’ve made plenty of money, but you can’t buy time back. I don’t want any regrets.”

To that end, he says, it’s time to trade in some of his work commitments “and let more family and personal life in.”

Blake announced this fall that he’s leaving The Voice, a show where he’s been a coach since the very first season. The show is currently in his 22nd season, and the next season — season 23, airing in the spring of 2023 — will be his last.

Dua Lipa is the latest celebrity to get the wax figure treatment from Madame Tussauds in New York City.

The figure was unveiled Wednesday, and Dua is super excited that it honors her latest era. “What I’m really excited about is to have a wax figure commemorate my album Future Nostalgia. I haven’t got one for this time, and it’s just so cool to be asked to come back and to do that,” she raved.

Dua’s wax statue is “wearing her famous custom white sequined outfit by The Attico,” per a press release, as well as the “Jimmy Choo MICA 100mm square-toe ankle-boot” to complete the Future Nostalgia look that she rocked during her livestream at Studio 2054 in November 2020.

Dua was touched that Madame Tussauds honored this particular look. “It was really exciting to create something like that because of what was going on in the world and the need for human connection and also to bring something out for the fans and everyone at home — just to create a fun experience,” she expressed.

Dua said she found it interesting to watch the process of how these statues are made and was impressed by “how precise every little thing is.”

The statement explains Dua’s likeness was captured during a “sitting,” where “more than 150 measurements were taken to meticulously capture the singer’s facial features.” The announcement noted that every hair on the figure’s head was “individually inserted by hand, taking about five weeks to complete.” It takes about six months in all to complete one of these wax clones.

Dua’s new wax figure can be found at Madame Tussauds New York in Times Square.

As promised, the latest in a series of new animated videos for songs on the Beatles‘ album Revolver has arrived: It’s for Paul McCartney‘s song “Here, There and Everywhere.”

In the video, the Beatles are seen in the recording studio listening to the song, and then we seen them at various locations throughout their career: arriving at a premiere, disembarking from a plane, hanging out in a hotel room in New York City, appearing on a TV show and riding in the back of a limo. Eventually, they end up back at Abbey Road studios. Throughout the clip, a dancing female figure is literally “here, there and everywhere,” providing the transitions from scene to scene.

The video’s producer, Richard Barnett of Trunk Animation, says the video depicts the Beatles “on tour as they face an ever-changing backdrop of cities, hotels, roads and gigs, with only each other to rely on.” Barnett says the dancing figure represents “inspiration and creative freedom.”

The new animated clip series, which also includes videos for “Taxman” and “I’m Only Sleeping,” were created to promote the deluxe reissue of Revolver that came out in October. It features new mixes of the original 1966 record, as well as a collection of outtakes and a four-song EP that includes the non-album tracks “Paperback Writer” and “Rain.”

Zoe Saldaña is the cover star for the latest issue of InStyleIn it, she reflects on the box office success of Avatar and her love for action films, among other things.

Avatar premiered in 2009 and has since gone on to become an Academy Award-winning film. Zoe, who plays Neytiri in the franchise, admits she didn’t imagine the film would be a big success.

“I had no idea Avatar was going to have the impact that it did on such a global scale,” she says. “Those things are unimaginable.”

“I had so much hope that it was going to be well received, because it just felt so special to me. This conversation around the environment has become a global social dilemma,” she continues. “And what I admire the most is that the younger generations are the ones that are guiding this narrative.”

Zoe also appears in the Guardian of the Galaxy films as the character Gamora, and has dabbled in different kinds of movies. Yet, she has a special love for action films.

“I love action movies. When I was a kid, that’s what I was watching, not princess things,” she explains. “My idol was Ellen Ripley [Sigourney Weaver’s character in Alien] and Sarah Connor [played by Linda Hamilton].”

When it comes to the films she chooses to work on, she says, “I join projects because I believe in the people behind them. When they’re magical and thoughtful, thought-provoking and collaborative, that’s what changes my life for the better.”

“It gives me experiences that raise me, that help me grow, that make me feel good about people,” she concludes.

Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin played their previously reported Hanukkah Sessions concert in Los Angeles this week, and the intimate show apparently featured even more rock star power than initially announced.

According to Variety, among the guests who joined the Foo Fighters frontman and the producer onstage were Beck, Tenacious D‘s Jack Black and Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, as well as pop star Pink.

Grohl and Kurstin first launched Hanukkah Sessions in 2020 and covered eight different Jewish artists for each night of the holiday, and the series returned in 2021. The set list for the LA show, which marked the first live Hanukkah Sessions performance, continued that tradition with songs such as Rush‘s “The Spirit of Radio,” in honor of Geddy Lee‘s Jewish heritage, with vocals by Black.

Variety also reports that the concert “certainly seemed” to be recorded and theorizes that it could be released as this year’s Hanukkah Sessions. The first night of Hanukkah is Sunday, December 18.

The concert also marked one of Grohl’s few live performances following the unexpected death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in March. He previously made appearances at Paul McCartney‘s Glastonbury set and Joe Walsh‘s VetsAid concert, as well as during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony alongside Lionel Richie. Grohl and Foo Fighters also held two giant tribute concerts to Hawkins in London and Los Angeles in September.

You may not know that Pink is Jewish, but she musically embraced her heritage earlier this week at a charity event featuring Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and their mutual producer, Greg Kurstin.

During the pandemic, Grohl and Kurstin started the Hanukkah Sessions, an online video series of cover songs by Jewish artists — one for each of the eight nights of Hanukkah. This year’s edition was the first live version of the event, and it took place at L.A.’s tiny Largo club, a venue that only holds 250 people. As Variety reports, director Judd Apatow presented the show as a benefit for the Anti-Defamation League.

According to Variety, Pink took the stage and proudly told the audience, “My name’s Alecia. I’m a Jew.” She then sang her first hit, “Get This Party Started” — using a lyric sheet to get through the song and still missing a few words. Considering she didn’t write that particular song, it’s forgivable.

Pink and Grohl performed together earlier this year at the star-studded tribute concert in LA that honored late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. At that event, she sang Heart‘s “Barracuda,” backed up by Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson and Foo Fighters. She also joined Foo Fighters for their song “Pretender,” and sang Queen‘s “Somebody to Love” with Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor

The first night of Hanukkah is Sunday, December 18.

January 5 will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of Bruce Springsteen‘s debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., and to mark the occasion, a daylong symposium featuring some of the musicians who played on the record is being held at New Jersey’s Monmouth University.

The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth is organizing the symposium, scheduled for Saturday, January 7. E Street Band bass player Garry Tallent, original E Street keyboardist David Sancious and original E Street drummer Vini Lopez are taking part in the event, along with Bruce’s former manager Mike Appel

Panel discussions, interviews, a book signing, a performance of the album’s songs by local musicians and the debut of a mini documentary on the making of the album, featuring an exclusive interview with Springsteen, round out the event.

Ahead of the symposium, a free Zoom conversation about Greetings is taking place January 3 at 7:30 p.m. EST. David Sancious will be performing at The Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey, on January 6.

In addition to Tallent, Lopez and Sancious, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. featured the late Clarence Clemons, among other non-E Street Band musicians. The album includes some of Springsteen’s most popular early songs, including “Spirit In the Night,” “Blinded By the Light” and “Growin’ Up,” as well as fan favorites “For You” and “It’s Hard to Be a Saint in the City.”

Taylor Swift, Harry Styles among winners at People’s Choice Awards

E! Entertainment/NBC

Taylor Swift was a big winner at The People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday, taking home all three trophies she was up for, including Female Artist of 2022, The Music Video of 2022 for “Anti-Hero,” and The Album of 2022 for Midnights.

Taylor was not present for the ceremony and her categories were not handed out during the telecast.

Midnight stopped the Billboard 200 for five of its first six weeks, and “Anti-Hero” has ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks — making it the 10th song in Billboard history to do so.

Meanwhile, Harry Styles was named Male Artist of 2022, though he wasn’t present to pick up his award, either. He was nominated for six awards overall, including The Drama Movie Star of 2022 for his performance in Don’t Worry Darling.  While he didn’t win in that category, the film itself was named The Drama Movie of 2022, and its director — Harry’s ex, Olivia Wilde — accepted the trophy.

Other winners at Tuesday’s People’s Choice Awards include BTS, who nabbed The Group of 2022 and the Concert Tour of 2022 for BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage, and Lizzo, who took home The Song of 2022 for “It’s About Damn Time,” as well as The People’s Champion Award.
